BEWARE! DOES NOT FIT LARGE GRAPHIC CARDS!

Gigabyte's "EZ Latch" to release the GPU is so unnecessarily large that it wouldn't allow my card to fit. It instead scratched my brand new GPU and now I have to settle for a smaller card or return this board... I'm definitely returning the board. How Gigabyte did not think of this when adding this "feature" is mind boggling to me, especially in this market of GPUs getting larger and larger. They don't even bother to mention anything about compatibility with certain graphic cards. If you have a large card, do yourself a favor and avoid this board unless you want to be stuck with fitment issues and scratching up your expensive card. An excellent AM5 motherboard for this price range.Plenty of USB ports, build quality is good, and the VRM can easily handle even the 7950X. Fair warning though, only 4 SATA ports, the board is obviously aimed at PCIe M.2 SSD storage solutions. Successful boot on the first try. Happy with my choice and the purchase.

Pros- Powerful VRM for overclocking. Should provide good performance boost and future-proofing.- Very high build quality.- Good ergonomics.Cons- Less than optimal audio codec for the price, especially for an Aorus Elite board which should be superior to other cards and brands at this price point.ConclusionA very good looking board with awesome features yet it lacks some good features for the price point.

Good motherboard but terrible value
26 October 2022

Its a motherboard and it does what a motherboard does. The usb ports are plentiful on this motherboard which is a plus. This is a motherboard with a minimalist design. No flashy rgb here. Vrms are good for moderate overclocking. The bios are not the best. But this motherboard is overpriced. That is my main issue with this product.

Solid MoBo but does require heavy BIOS tweaking
12 December 2022

I got this to support my 7050x chip. I think if you're not used to working in the bios when building a new rig, then this might cause you issues. seems to still carry the bug issues when switching on legacy devices whereby you get a black screen when restarting it and for some wild reason you either have to move from GPU HDMI/DisplayPort to removal of GPU entirely and plug into the integrated Mobo HDMI to get it to work again or vice versa. This issue seems to be common in lots of boards though. Secondly, as like many new boards, for some reason the RAM set up is terrible when you first go and you have to tweak it heavily in the BIOS to utilise it properly. USB DO WORK
19 June 2023

Recently left a review about having USB issues with this motherboard, especially with my old Video Capture Device which I have used many times in the past on my previous PC with no problems. Just discovered an article buried deep online about other users experiencing the exact same issues with their Capture hardware and it's due to an update in good old Windows 10. Found a fix on the same site and now working perfectly. Not a motherboard fault at all, Sorry Gigabyte, I should have known really. Ignore the 1 star I gave previously.

USB doesn't work.
24 May 2023

Bought this a few months ago, upgrading from a lovely stable GA-990FXA-UD3. I don't know if my board is faulty and will contact Scan shortly about it but I've had nothing but trouble with the USB ports going dead, connecting, disconnecting all the time. Video capture devices result in many dropped frames, never had an issue on my previous build. Streaming videos from SD cards connected to USB, all choppy, breaking up. Play the same file from the local storage drive and it's fine. Wired mouse can be jerky at times. I know there were USB issues with AM4 but looks like this Rev1.0 AM5 board has the same problems. BIOS updates haven't solved the issue. Don't know whether to wait and hope it gets fixed or to return board and go with a different brand.

Worked without any issues
23 November 2022

Made build with 7600X and G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 2x16GB DDR5-6000 CL30. Ram was not on official vendor list, but worked anyways. Had issue with first time trying to enable EXPO, but mobo displayed error and let me change it. I re-enabled it with no issues since. I had also updated to the most recent BIOS, non-beta version, (F5) before trying to enable EXPO. Came shipped with F4. I do have a 30s post time, but that seems to come with EXPO and XMP on DDR5. I don't even mind because old boot was 10s post 1.5m windows and now its 30s post, 10s windows.Plenty m.2, SATA, and USB ports. Very easy to install ram (some feel like you are breaking the board). Came with a godlike front panel connector adaptor that let you plug in wire and also keep them held in as you plugged it into the board. The extended GPU tab is convenient. No manual included, but was able to print one out.

Would have been a great motherboard if it had work
12 March 2023

Was expecting a decent motherboard and I got a defective one. At first I could not get it to boot so I flashed the bios. Finally got it to boot with one stick of RAM after that I tried to add more RAM. Was only able to get it taboo with two ram sticks in the A1 a2 slots. All the ram sticks or the exact same Corsair vengeance RGB 5600. After flashing the bios to every version they had I gave up. I returned it and got MSI. This was the first time I've ever had any trouble with a gigabyte item. And I've never had any trouble with MSI. Should have went with MSI from the start.
