I have a heavy beard growth and have had good luck with years of using the Mach 3. I recently tried the Fusion an discovered several things. First, a smoother, faster shave
and without the nicks.Second, the grip is harder to adjust to (I am right handed) and could use improvement (like the Mach 3). And third, it costs less per shave. I got a week
out of the Mach 3s. I am at 2 1/2 weeks with the Fusion and counting.

I think if I had no beard then these would be amazing and make the shave super easy, but I've since gone back to my disposables. They're still great razors, but the Fusion 5 doesn't suit me and my needs.... Show more

I thought that maybe I did something different or maybe my hair was a little longer than usual. The next time I shaved, two days later (it takes that long for any stubble to appear), I tried this razor blade again. And again, I was disappointed in the quality. It felt like it was ripping everything. I threw the blade out and tried the second blade that comes in the pack the next time I shaved. Even with the second new blade, the same thing occurred. I would not recommend saving the extra couple of dollars for this razor blade. I would recommend the Pro Glide series of razors. They have never let me down. But stay away from these.... Show more

Fusion 5

I have used Gillette since I was a teenager . To my benefit i don't shave often and when i do, my chest and my two friends down there are part of the process, so the overly expensive refills do last a long time . I have tried all types of more affordable products and subscriptions and i always end up getting my Fusion 5. For the rest, none of them have passed the first use test so i end up with boxes of unused useless handles and refills. I still have the handle that vibrates but I will go crazy the day it breaks . Why was that discontinued? I would try the new heat blades but they are too expensive . I think anyone can (and must) prep the skin before shaving way cheaper than relying on an expensive heated handle. Gillette Fusion Razor a smooth operator.

I have to battery razors and was dubious about the fusion razors ability to match them. I was surprised at easily it glided, in fact I was so impressed with how smooth it was I am still using it today. I still have the same blade in it as from day one and am testing how long it works without changing it. I don't know how much the blades cost but being a pensioner price is an issue that will determine blade change frequency. The ease of shave impressed me as well, even with the other two I have they seem to be rough on shaving with some skin irritation when finished. The fusion razor I found to have a lot less irritation (if any) and the closeness of the blades to each other I believe is the reason why it runs so smoothly with less passes needed to obtain a close and ... MoreI have to battery razors and was dubious about the fusion razors ability to match them. Great bikini line razor

Great razor!!!! Women Razors are awful and just expansive. I use this gollete razor when I’m shaving my Brazilian or bikini area and it gives me such a close shave. I love how the handle moves very flexible to allow you to reach ever nook and cranny. Seriously the best razor for women!!! I’m not sure how long it will last in terms of how many shaves I can get with just one razor but as long as I’m bump free I’m content... Show more

Great product unfortunately $$$$$$$
5 September 2021
My husband trialled the Gillette Fusion Razor. His first comment was "Wow! This is the best razor ever! It just glides over my skin and leaves it super soft and hair free." He shaves at night and usually by lunchtime the next day he has stubble but not with the Gillete Fusion Razor as his face was still smooth with only a very little amount of stubble when he shaved again at night. Shaving takes a lot less time now. He definitely wanted me to buy him some from the supermarket, however, my jaw dropped when saw the price. Seriously!! Super super $$$$ As good as the product is I dont think too many people can justify spending this much on a disposable razor. What a shame Gillette that you cater to the rich.... Show more

Just only 2 uses of the razor!
1 December 2022
I recently bought this Gillette 5 blade razor as I misplaced my old one, which I had used for several years now. The blades I usually buy from giant stores, which come in bulk(20) that lasts for a quiet a long time for me. This one came with two blades. With 2nd time use, the blades lost their sharpness. I got to shave 4 times to complete my beard shave for the day! Also left a lot of hair on the orange area of the blade. The hair also didn't got off between the blades dispite rinsing several times. Not sure what kind of design modifications Gillette did with this one! Bad quality.... Show more

Pleased to be back with Fusion5
25 May 2022
A few years ago I was using Gillette Fusion5 razors, but then switched to Harry's for the lower cost. I have blonde hair so I sometimes wait a couple of days between shaves, and the Harry's blades (including the 6th trimmer blade) were quick to clog with stubble they just cut. I didn't remember having this problem with Fusion5, so I wanted to try them again, thinking that the blades are worth the price difference if they don't clog so easily. Just used my new Fusion5 razor this morning, and it was wonderfully clog-free, even though my beard was a few days old. The trimmer, which I use to thin my mustache, was clog-free and razor-burn-free. It's as good as I remember! The included photo shows the two razors side-by-side, and as you can see there is quite a bit of ... MoreA few years ago I was using Gillette Fusion5 razors, but then switched to Harry's for the lower cost. The trimmer, which I use to thin my mustache, was clog-free and razor-burn-free. It's as good as I remember! The included photo shows the two razors side-by-side, and as you can see there is quite a bit of light shining between the Fusion5 blades. The individual blades of both are about the same size, placement, and angles, but upon closer examination the individual blades of the Fusion5 blades are substantially thinner (I'm speaking of the second thinnest dimension of the blades -- what you can see in the photo).Another reason I switched to Harry's, in the past, was the simple look of their handle. I personally think the standard Fusion5 handle looks unnecessarily busy or fussy, like a modern toothbrush or modern sneaker. When I saw this Fusion5 Signature Edition on Walmart's website I knew I needed to spend a few extra dollars to get this simple, elegent handle. It also has a nice heft and balance, which I must say Harry's has too.Tip: With both Gillette and Harry's I carefully pry off and toss the lubrication strip near the top of each razor. They seem to leave a bit of goo on the blades, after softening up in water, and the strips are not needed if you have good shaving creme or gel IMHO. I have found the goo-free clean blades last longer.... Show more

Sad but not 20

I've used this edition since its inception. Though I've been loyal to this product it has never lived up to a blade refill a month. Not even close. Because of price ill use past what I consider due date as comfort defines but overall better than others except safety razors which last about 3 to 4 daysIf I shave scalp and beard it's nearly a goner and my head is pretty thin. Picture a Franciscan friar with thinning hair lol.But it's the best I can find and am willing to compromise just wish it was closer to the advertised 20 shaves a 4 pack lasts almost a month....
