I had been using the joy razor and decided I wanted to try something else in hopes that it would make my shaving experience easier - especially for the bikini area. This razor did exactly that, I was stunned using this for the first time. I would say I have thick semi-coarse hair (Latina) and it had been a couple of weeks since I shaved my bikini area. I expected to have to do multiple passes on one area but this razor trimmed down to the skin on my first pass. I feel like it cut down on my shaving time as a whole. I will say be careful using because blades are very sharp but I only had one nick and I believe it was used error. Razor and refills may seem a little pricey but definitely worth it!

Venus brand razors have always been top in my book, and this one takes it to the next level with the gold handle during the Olympic year. The handle is easy to hold and lightweight. Each attachable blade head has 5 blades for a close and efficient shave; and it surprisingly is comfortable with no irritation. I love that the blade has a smooth aloe Vera strip for comfort and that the blades easily maneuver with your skin and body.This razor is bright and fun— go gold medal!! It comes with one handle and 2 blade heads. The handle is sturdy and handles the water well, so I should be able to just buy replacement blades for years to come.

Let me start by saying that I dry shaved my bikini line using this and wow. The shave was so close to the skin and smooth. I had not one bit of irritation and it took me what seemed like less than a minute. I was very impressed. The razor feel heavy like a man’s razor and has no slip grip that makes shaving in the shower effortless. Has 5 blades and is extremely sharp while also not so sharp that you are scared to knock yourself. This is the best value for a woman’s razor and I’ve purchased almost every single one. Hands down best razor I’ve ever used. Highly recommend.

I have been a diehard Venus razor user for over a decade. Have tried other brands but always go back to the 5 blade Venus options because they are so reliable and offer the smoothest shave. I have quite a collection of the plastic handles that come with standard Venus razors but the Gold Venus razor is a big upgrade. The gold plated metal handle is weighted very nicely for an ergonomic shave and feels expensive and comfortable in your hand. Not to mention the gold color is incredibly pretty and luxe looking! As always the razor itself offers an incredibly smooth yet safe shave and helps my skin stay hair free longer without any bumps. Highly recommend getting this new handle!
I’m actually going to the Olympics in July so this was the perfect partnership! I can pack the razor in my bag for my trip. I didn’t even realize the razor was metal until I took it out of the box and then I re-read the packaging. It’s very weight, but comfortable and ergonomic at the same time. It has a squishy rubber texture on the handle to give it grip, but the rest is a heavy metal. The razors are packaged really well so you just break off the seal and snap the handle in.The razor itself is sharp and left me with a smooth shave, no knicks or cuts after using it and I felt like I didn’t have to keep going over the same spot. It’s great that I can use the blades I already have for my other Venus razors and pop them on the new sturdier handle!
I received this complimentary from influenster for testing and reviewing purposes. Do you love a nice clean shave? If so this might just be the perfect razor. First thing I noticed was the weight. It felt good and sturdy in my hands, not cheap and flimsy like some other razors. Once I started using it I was impressed. It quickly and cleanly removed all the stubble. This thing had me coming out of the shower feeling as smooth as a baby dolphin. 10/10 would totally recommend!!

For the last 15 years, or so, I’ve only used men’s razors, as the shave I got from them was much closer with less nicks. So when the opportunity arose for me to test this product out for Influenster, I was skeptical, but excited to give it a try. I got a great, close shave. It’s comfortable to hold. And I’m probably going to buy more refills and continue using it….. I wish the head was a little more “flexible”, to mold to my body a little bit more, but I also have that same wish for most of the men’s razors I’ve used. :) I plan on sticking to with this product for a bit. :)
I had the chance to try the new Venus Deluxe Smooth Gold Olympic Razor and it’s a really great product. I love the comfortable grip and look of the handle. It’s very nice with the gold colored metal and weighted design making it easy to hold. The razors have 5 blades that give a nice smooth, close shave. They also have a lubrastrip on them that contains aloe vera and helps to keep you from getting any irritation when shaving. I love how much the razor head can pivot so it can get around all the curves of your body with ease. This razor makes for an enjoyable shave every time and it’s rather quick and easy to use. I’d definitely recommend trying any Venus razor because they are all so amazing.
