Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation 10 30ml

Saw this on a friend - she looked amazing! Yet so natural! Just had to try it for myself. I moisturized and primed my face beforehand and then used my finger to dab some onto my head, cheeks, and nose, and using a beauty blender I started to blend it outwards until it disappeared into my skin. I have to say it blended really well and melted into my skin straight away, without settling into any fine lines. Although I find the formula to be quite thick and pigmented, it isn't heavy on the skin and I only required a small amount to cover any slight redness and uneven areas. The result? I’m going to start out saying you pay for what you get with this foundation. It is not cheap, but it is beautiful. EVERY time I wear it, I get compliments… and usually how I have such a good complexion, not that my foundation looks good. So I think that says something. This lasts all day, and truthfully I rarely wear a primer, but it works with those as well. Have tried with both milk makeup primers, the one size primer and the huda glow jelly primer - all work well with it! When I want my makeup to look it’s best, this is my go to. I am wearing shade 4, which is described as light with golden undertones and it works perfectly for me in the months I don’t have a tan. Will likely get 5.75 for the summer months. Also ; I am in my mid 30s — no foundation, or product is going to totally eliminate fine lines or wrinkles. So don’t think it will. However this does an incredible job blurring them!

52 years old - my Mature Skin HG Foundation

I was watching a lot of YouTube and reading reviews after reviews.Somewhere along the way I started seeing a repeat for mature skin and the Armani Silk foundation.I had already exchanged foundations so many times at Sephora; God love them for their patience.So I went back yet again, and got a color match but they were out of stock with my color at all 3 nearby stores. So I ordered online and took another chance. I about DIED from joy when I took some selfies and compared them to the one from a couple of days ago. (Sorry, I could only upload 2 pics). This in my kitchen with overhead fluorescent can lights, at night! No primer, no filters, just moisturizer and beauty blender applied foundation. There is no smell that I could detect.It feels like there is nothing on my skin. (No greasy looking transfer to my phone either). It took 2 pumps that come out about the size of a dime to do my full face. Yes - I can feel the money spend with that second pump, but the payoff is so worth it.It builds nicely, and evenly without texture.

First timer and it’s beautiful and light

To find my correct shade was frustrating, time consuming, confusing but in the end (I almost gave up) I have a beautiful foundation. Having always used Dior I wanted to try something new and different as I had just moved from Sydney to the Gold Coast and thought what great reviews I’ll give it a go. I firstly was colour matched at Sephora and was told I had the perfect colour to realise after application I was about 5shades too dark and had a massive colour difference from my face to the rest of my body. I walked out deflated. I tried the colour match via camera on the GA website so many times and kept telling myself just go for it and try a colour but didnt go ahead with purchasing a colour match… (so lucky I didn’t as I would have been 3 shades lighter). I even contacted GA via email stating my problem of not being able to be correctly colour matched and to please send some same pots, to my surprise no help there either. I then went to David Jones where I found some one helpful at last! She finally colour matched me correctly and instantly purchased the colour on the GA website and on sale! After my ordeal I tried on the foundation when it arrived. After I prepped and primed the light build able foundation was a dream to apply. Much thinner and smoother than I expected. It will be my favourite for many years to come. I will just need to get colour matched again after I tan in the summer, so I hope I have some better luck with that

HOLY GRAIL Foundation

If you're a person of color looking for a new foundation look no further, this foundatoion is absolutely amazing. I have a neutral warm golden undertone and having both undertones I do not have a lot of perfect shade matches in other brands. The shades are either too warm or too olive but this is such a perfect match to my skin. This a medium coverage foundation without looking cakey, it looks like skin. This foundation makes your skin so luminous and dewy without looking greasy, I use MAC Strobe Cream to make it even more luminous. Irritation/breakouts for sensitive skin

This foundation caused irritation and breakouts on my skin. I am 36 years old and use the same skin care routine consistently. The only thing I changed is using this foundation. The finish for me with his product looked patchy/uneven whether applied with a brush, beauty blender, or my fingers. I wanted it to work based on other positive reviews I have seen on this product so I tried different application/setting techniques and with each it failed to meet my expectations. I will say my expectations were high given the price point and reviews from others. A few hours into wear this product melts right off. There is a lot of transfer (onto mask) even with a setting spray. There is seriously not another product on the market like the armani glow powder or this foundation. Someone's review on one of the armani products said that armani is the most underrated make up brand - and I totally agree!

Perfect for aging skin

At 56, I no longer wear make-up, other than a little lip gloss, blush and mascara. I have tried several over the past 5 years, all highly researched and recommended, however, all just settle into lines and become blotchy, dry and flaky. I have an excellent face regime and have looked after my skin since my teenage years, so my lines are still fine. Even with a freshly exfoliated, serumed, moisturised and primed face, avoiding wrinkles, I find I just look blotchy and plastic. This has meant I only wear make-up on very special occasions. I used the Luminous silk Foundation together with the Luminous silk Primer for the first time to attend my nephews wedding. I immediately loved the silky feel on my skin, it was easy to apply and actually minimised my fine lines. It lasted for over 10 hours, in 30 degree heat, and my make-up still in place, my skin was still plump and moist by the time I removed it. I have even started wearing make-up more often and find I can easily choose how heavy or light by mixing a little of the primer with the foundation for day wear. I love this product and would seriously recommend this for anyone who wants to look and feel their best. I will certainly continue using this and will gladly buy the full size.

Wanta magnify your rough texture?

Sooooo disappointed. Worked with a specialist at Sephora to find the best foundation for my aging skin, so after a few options went with the Armani product. In store it looked OK, but when I got home, all I saw in the mirror was every rough texture and line magnified. And this was AFTER an excellent primer had been applied before the foundation. Just to check my sanity, I looked at my skin after I washed it off later this evening. My skin looks MUCH better WITHOUT the foundation. So I guess the trade off is: you can even out discoloration BUT you will see exaggerated texture. I have a little discoloration, but covering that with this product makes my skin texture issues EVEN MORE prominent. So, if your goal is even color for a distant photo or something or if you ... MoreSooooo disappointed.
