The shell consists of two parts (hemispheres) that slide over each other just like a joint. The outer shell can rotate around the inner shell in the event of an impact, reducing the forces that would otherwise act directly on the brain. The outer shell is harder - ready for impact, the inner shell is softer and ready to cushion contact with the head. This design eliminates the traditional plastic MIPS liner. Wearing comfort is accentuated by the Roc Loc Trail Air clamping system and comfortable liners with X-Static antibacterial treatment. Powered by MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System), it provides increased protection against rotational forces on the head.
