The helmet is quiet from wind noise. It is warm. The boa system for tightening the helmet on your head is easy and secure. This helmet is the best I've ever had.

In all the helmets I've owned this Giro Owen Spherical Helmet has the best chin strap ever. The magnetic clasp is the easiest to attach with ski gloves on and the easiest to remove. The helmet is quiet from wind noise. It is warm. The boa system for tightening the helmet on your head is easy and secure. This helmet is the best I've ever had.
I've gotten a few days in this season with the Owen helmet and I love it already. It's very comfortable to wear and I know that it will help keep my head safe this winter. I've had Giro helmets for a while and have been impressed with their different technologies like the MIPS system to help minimize impacts.
I've been a Giro Terra helmet gal for quite some time. I gave the new Owen a try this season and was not disappointed. While "women's" colors only come in S,M, it truly is a unisex helmet as I got the grey in a sz s, which is my regular size.
The Giro Owen combines a timeless look with discreet venting and plush padding to deliver an across-the-board upgrade to the Ledge. Giro's Thermostat venting system keeps you from getting hot-headed on the slopes, and the removable ear-pads can add to the cool comfort come spring slush-slashing season! (Holy alliteration).The Owen also features a seamless fit with many of Giro's goggles, so combining this with the likes of the Contour will have you looking the part as you lay down lines.
You get what you pay for. The quality of this helmet is great. The BOA in the back is very smooth. The strap for your goggles is perfect and plastic not nylon. The chin strap is magnetic which makes putting on and removing super easy. The fit was perfect as well. It’s like a Giro Ledge on roids! In my opinion I would recommend.

The Owen is an amazing light weight helmet that lacks no safety features or technical features. I loved mine this past year in the backcountry!!
