I like the style of construction. The palms and fingers fit really well, but the section at the wrist was so tight that it cut off circulation after about 10 minutes. I don't have thick wrists or anything odd. The wrist portion is just too narrow and the material doesn't stretch nearly enough for a normal wrist to be comfortable.

I’ve worn these mitts about five times now and in extremely hot conditions (30c) and they are very comfortable to wear and at times I didn’t forgot I had mitts on. My hands remained cool throughout hours of cycling. Also, these mitts look super stylish on your hands and they look expensive. I opted for a size Large, and they had a tailored fit. The padding on the palm was very good, however, as my handlebar grips have cushioning I wasn’t able to establish how affective they would be on other grips.

The knit fabric at the finger openings is raw cut. There is no stitching along the edge for reinforcement. Just carefully taking the gloves off a couple of times the edge has begun to fray. I doubt that the gloves will last even one season. They are also very difficult to put on and take off. I had expected as much since they lack a Velcro strap at the wrist like many other gloves. This would be less of an issue if the gloves weren’t so delicate at the finger openings.

The gloves may fit, but I wouldn't know because the wrist opening is much too small to fit my hand through. My hand size falls squarely in the size small on the size chart.I thought Backcountry's return policy would pay for return shipping (it says prepaid), but that isn't the case. It's about $7 to return the online purchase. Not happy about it.
Built well with nice backing that contours nicely to your hands and fingers. Runs small, so if purchasing buy at least buy one size up.
Really like these gloves and they shipped super fast! They have just enough cushion but not too much. The only thing that you might want to consider is the fact that they do not have a velcro at the wrist, so getting them on and off at first is a bit tricky as they are tight.
After two months of periodic use, both hands have a hole. There is also not a pull tab to remove them with your other hand. I would not buy them again.
The fit is good. I'm usually a Large and they fit fine. But there is no Velcro closure, so pulling them on and off is quite difficult. There is light padding at the base of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th fingers and medium padding on the pinky side of the palm. Nothing on the thumb side. I prefer the Pearl Izumi Select, but they were out of stock.
My hand size is usually L-XL. On a hunch I ordered XXL. They were initially tight enough that I was worried. However after the first ride or two, I am pleased with the size. They wear well.
Love these gloves. Extremely comfortable, with a smooth feel and no bothersome seams that you sometimes feel on a long ride. The fixed closure is firm and effective without being too difficult to put on or take off. I'll be purchasing another pair at this great price!
The rigid fork of your road bike is designed to handle sharp corners and high speeds, but it isn't prepared to soak up every bump in the road, especially when the road isn't really a road at all.
