I actually went into Sephora with my mind set on 3 different foundations that I researched based on their positive reviews. I was looking for a hydrating yet long lasting medium to full coverage foundation. The three that I wanted were okay but I ended up playing around with other foundations as well. As luck would have it, I stumbled upon this gem. This foundation was exactly what i was looking for. Im shocked that this product has mixed reviews because its a lovely foundation! Its lightweight yet the coverage is phenomenal. Its no Estee Lauder Double Wear, but these days im trying to use lighter foundations so this one was just right. When used with the right primer and setting powder, it stays in place and looks very natural throughout the entire day

I originally received a sample of this from Sephora. I always go for medium-to-full coverage because I have acne scars and occasional breakouts. When I wore this, a coworker of mine stopped and said "your skin looks great! It looks like youre not wearing makeup...but you are". Now I NEVER venture out of the house without foundation on because Im always covering my skin, so for someone who sees me everyday to notice my supposedly "nature complexion" was a tell-tale sign that I needed this in a full size, even with its pricey tag. This is better applied with a brush, not blender, but it blends beautifully and you do not need much, 2-3 pumps should do. I'm happy to say that I still use this as my "going out" foundation and love the finish and how it wears throughout the night. My only major complaint...and it is major...is the heavy fragrance. Whyyyyy!!!!! I don't need my foundation to smell good. I just need it to perform. The scent wears off but the initial application usually gives me a mild headache. Keep that in mind if you are sensitive to scents. This could be the perfect foundation!

First, the fragrance is a bit strong. Why do high end brands put perfume into their foundation? I have sensitive skin and I could feel this causing my face to tingle and burn. I applied one thin coat and was I impressed with the coverage. it is more pigmented than EL DW. I added more to my cheeks where I have higher pigmentation. I also set this with Too Face peach perfect. It remained tacky on my skin. Once the foundation is set and completely dry the fragrance is gone and the burning sensation went away.I love the finish on my skin, radiant matte on me. It feels light weight. I even splurged and bought the givenchy rose primer recommended to me by a store employee. Firstly, the shade if this foundation was on point and didn't oxidize. I applied a thin layer of primer all over Mt clean face waited a minute and then applied the foundation with a brush. It applied nicely and looked very natural and dewy. But within a few minutes I started noticing it separating around my nose and sitting in my pores. My skin looked very textured and this is strange for me as I typically use full coverage matte foundations that donr do this to me. This foundation frustrated me so much lol. I must have tried like four different shades. The shade range is not great for fair to light skinned people. The lightest shade is too pale for me and the next few are too yellow or just too dark. The foundation itself is beautiful though so if you can find your shade, I would give it a try. It has a smooth satin buildable finish and looks beautiful with a brush. It lasts very well throughout the day but does has a light scent that fades. Held up well on my dry skin.

My least favorite [brand:givenchy] Foundation. It has medium billable coverage. It's supposed to have up to 24 hour coverage but I don't agree. The foundation wore off at about 12 hours of wear for me. Although the foundation can be built up to full coverage, I just dont think it made my skin look pretty. It looked kind of heavy and makeup-y . It also made my skin texture look uneven and made me look older. It's not the worst foundation I've tried on, it's ok enough that I'll use it for normal every day wear but I wouldn't use it for special events or my wedding day or anything. I remember when I was wearing this, (I sweat a lot), it barely came off or looked worse after! It last really long. I always also had concern that when I wear glasses or sunglasses, there will be such a visible spot on my nose. With this one, I did notice it way less. But for dry skins, I recommend doing serum and good hydrating products before putting it on, because the oil control in this is insanely strong(good news for oily skin ;)) even if this foundation is also hydrating but I still feel like sometimes the oil control is so strong that it feels a little dry. Great coverage

I really like Givenchy foundations and have a couple, thought I would try this one as well as I needed a new matt product. Great coverage with this foundation. It's certainly a super matt product and won't be everybody's taste . The foundation really stayed on throughout the days I have worn it. For me the colour is paler than expected but I can work with it. Really great foundation if you like a super matt product.
