To be fair, it does say it’s a soft leather. But the difference between the images online and what you actually receive is a mockery in itself. The best description of the “leather” I could come up with was that it seemed like $50 high school girl wrinkly leather boots. The wrinkle pattern was uniform across the entire boot, and the leather felt weak and cheap. Had 2 sizing issues prior to this buy (after reading online that Doc Martens claims nothing has changed) these ones finally fit, instantly returned them and I bought Solovairs. Absolutely love these!!! My first pair of Dr Martens. The leather is so soft and they literally go with anything. I’m a UK size 8 with a wide foot, I ordered an 8 and they fit perfect. I’ve read up on the “breaking in” advice and definitely worth a read. I’ve started wearing the them for short spells and pairing them with Dr Marten socks, also used some compeer blister plasters which helped…no blisters on my first outing in them 😊 highly recommend my only worry is I want more….maybe some sandals next time.

These are the best DMs I've bought yet! The waxed finish on them is very stylish and more understated than the patent leather ones I wear for nights out. Saying that, I still wore these ones last night on stage for a gig and they did me proud cos there was plenty of jumping about. They broke in really fast and are already super comfy. Wouldn't wear anything else.

The shoes look great, the platform is just the right size and the texture of the leather shows that it is genuine. I had no need to break them in and the leather was perfecty soft. During the whole day at school, they were comfortable and stylish which I am very pleased with.I also received quite a few complements already.
No break-in time finally! Soft, but not flimsy. PERFECT style. I've always had Docs hurt my heels at first, but finally, these do not. Looks great with jeans of course, but also super fashionable with dresses too! I love wearing them with my black dress with fall colored flowers.
My previous dr.martens boots was supersoft and comfy without any defects. It was produced in Indonesia.New ordered boots was produced in Bangladesh and have crooked stitching and soles trimming and shoes material colors socks. Unfortunately I can not accept this quality and I’m very upset. It’s not so comfy as previous one as well.I sincerely wish this brand to return the quality to the previous level.

The size 8 fit nicely already and I’m sure with time they’ll loosen up a bit more and fit perfectly. The leather is so soft and buttery which I prefer so much more to that of the classic 1460.I was hesitant about getting 1460s for the longest time because there were details about the original style I didn’t quite like but the pascal bex has everything I love! The leather on these really sells it for me and I love the slightly thicker soles. They only took a few wears to break in since they’re a lot less stiff and I’m so in love with them already!Note: if you have high arches, I would recommend getting ... I ordered a women's size 8 (US) and it was labeled size 8, but it was NOT a women's size 8! I have always worn this size in all my Dr. Marten's. I think it was actually a mans size 8 and just mislabeled. I don't mind that there was a mistake, but they don't allow exchanges. So I had to return the boots and wait for them to be rec'd and credited back to me before I can order again. I'm worried that if I order a size 8 again it will be wrong again. I was so disappointed when they didn't fit. I had been saving for a very long time to be able to afford these boots and then to have to return them was just very upsetting. Unfortunately not for me. Fitment is very slack, more information needs to be given on this and maybe order one full size down if you haven't got elephants ankles and a dinosaurs foot width.Very good looking but but can review further as had to return.
I guess I'm just in between sizes.. but it's like from 7 to 8, same boot selection, but when arrived, appears to be two different types of boots. The 7s were much softer, the laces were thinner.. better with like a wax coating. 8s are stiffer for sure, shinier, and have more of a workmen's boot lace. no wax so it comes undone easily. I kept the 8s, but overall, just a disappointing experience.
