Sorry, I’ve been buying Glasshouse candles for 10 years and these new candles don’t even give off the same strength of scent after a few hours of burning. Pls don’t ask me to provide my email addrsss, I know how to burn a candle and I know how to care for it. This is a huge fail. Everyone I know who buys glasshouse is very disappointed and won’t be buying this candle again unless the formula changes back. You say it’s due to overwhelming demand but nobody was even saying anything about your formula before? Nothing but good things. Now due to ACTUAL ‘overwhelming demand’ will you change the formula back to the original?

The scent is sweet and delicious, a real crowd pleaser. But I missed the memo about the change in formula ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ I buy in bulk during sales so just started using candles with the new formula. The scent throw and longevity of the candles are way shorter with the soy wax... the smell used to fill the house, now it barely fills a room. I seem to be burning through the candles a lot faster now too. Not a good investment for people who use it as a home fragrance anymore... please change it back to paraffin!

Great product, however disappointed that I ordered it with the Black Friday sales and didn’t get my gift. I wouldn’t have purchased it at that time as it was the only reason I did. I know it said whilst stock lasts but I ordered it early and should have been taken off the website. I feel it was a trick to purchase the item, I would have just got it in store at another time and when it was in my budget.

I would say the Tahaa Affair candle is one of my favorite fragrances in this range. It eliminates any odours from the home and smells devine. The best part is it lasts for so so long.The delivery is prompt and the customer service is second to none. Will definately order again :)

Tahaa is my favourite Glasshouse scent - With all the rain we have had, my alaskan malamute dogs are a little on the "sour" side until I have them groomed in a couple of weeks. However, with my Tahaa candle burning I can still let them inside in their designated area without smelling them. :)
While staying at The Mercure Tamworth recently … they had a beautiful scented candle burning in the foyer.Even in our room down the hallway we could smell the candle when we opened our door. My husband and I both loved the scent.When we arrived home I searched for The Glasshouse candle Vanilla Caramel … when I found it on your site I ordered one.Everyone who has come to our house recently has commented on the candle scent … we’re hooked and won’t be buying anything else now …
A Tahaa Affair is definitely the most loved and recognisable Glasshouse scent (Signature Peter Alexander Store Scent). Which means at physical retail stores it is rarely on sale and / or sold out! Retreat has been my go to for Glasshouse Candles since the start of 2020! A Tahaa Affair has ALWAYS been in stock and is cheaper than all the other retailers, I would like to mention that the postage is also seriously fast!!! 1 - 2 days when I order to Richmond, 2 - 3 when I order to The Mornington Pennisula and safely package! A +++ Buy this scent, you wont regret it!
Very nice scent but it burns too quick and scent isnt that strong. All my previous glasshouse candles (i have had many) have all made my entire house smell amazing, i feel like the candles arent as strong anymore which is so disapointing.I had a splurge and bought 3 candles and 2 diffusers and there is an airbubble between the wax and the glass near the logo on all 3 candles so it makes the candle not look as pretty. Its more noticeable on this candle in particular because the wax is a darker colour. Its very disapointing because of how expensive they are.
I am sorry to report that the formula/material change has resulted in a negative experience for me. The wick burns so quickly (or wax melts too quickly I don't know which). The wicks get very clumpy and leave black deposits in the wax. Lots of soot and smoke emanate from the jar, which means I am hesitant to burn, for fear of marking my ceilings and walls. Keeping in mind I do follow the care recommendations/instructions and trim my wicks as per the advice. For years I really loved the Tahaa candle, and glasshouse range in general. But feel I can only have them as decorative candles now :( i can see there has been some other commentary similar to mine, hopefully this can be taken on board.
This is my second purchase stocking up on my favourite candles. I’ve previously also purchased diffusers. Retreat Lifestyle have wonderful products and is now my go-to. I already have my eye on some soy melts ;) Easy to navigate website, good prices, a great range, really quick delivery and well packaged. So glad I found you!!
