Glenfarclas 10 Year Old, which means "valley of the green grass," is a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch. Glenfarclas Distillery was first granted a license in 1836 and, in an extreme rarity for Scottish distilleries, has been owned and managed by just one family since 1865. Glenfarclas's classic "Christmas Cake" style, is derived from aging the whisky in Oloroso Sherry casks. Nose-Intense sweet raisins followed by warm, toasty malt, Vanilla, and almond. Palate-Toasted malt and raisins with a nutty undertone and dried apricot and fig mingle with vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves. Finish-Spicy with hints of ginger and chocolate.
