Pretty good at this price range. Hot swappable feature makes it so convenient for beginners like myself to test out different switches on the market.BE AWARE: not sure if it is just my unit, the PCB does not line up perfectly with the top board for every key, which means you might end up damaging the housing on some of your switches while trying to pull them out.If you are not convienced in building a custom board, just get a Logitech G915 TKL...absolutely a KILLER IMO.

This keyboard is amazing for the $150 price tag. Comes with case sound dampening, RGB lighting is bright and the hotswap functionality is great. The stabilizers stock sound fantastic too, might need a little lube but honestly, they're great how they are.

I love this... always wanted to get a custom keyboard and I am so glad I took the plunge on this bad boy!Very sturdy on the desk, RGB options work very well and no flex.
It has a solid build and looks nicer than in the picture. If you are a Mac user, you need to know that the default key layout is different, which only got 1 Win key(Command) + 2 Alt(option).
A solid and affordable starter board for getting into this hobby. Solid enough aluminium deck with plastic lower shell being the only weak point in the build. Slightly rattly stabilisers factory, benefit from lubing and cloth-tape to narrow the plate gaps, as the stock stabs wiggle around without the tape. Great RGB effects without reliance on software. Only downsides are only 3pin support for switches (they could have drilled holes to support 5pin), and the connector is still micro-USB instead of USB-C. Great for the price otherwise.
Went in and had amazing customer service. Never built from barebones and the associate helped me all along the way from switches to the keycaps
Th GMMK barebones kit is a great entry point to get into custom keyboards. The hotswap ability allows you to use any switch you want and any keycaps you want. Stabilizers are good and north facing RGB is bright.I modded it with lubed switches, band aid mod stabs, dense foam on the bottom of the board and sorbothane between the pcb and plate. It's pretty great.
Before receiving the board I emailed support to find out whether they'd be sending me the micro-usb or usb-c version of the board. Turns I was sent an old model of the GMMK. I wouldn't recommend buying the barebones version of the board, since it looks like they're recirculating old stock and any attempt at finding out whether you'll be receiving new stock or not is met with essentially an 'I don't know' from support.
just perfect...at last it's not a nonsensical AZERTY ISO layout and QWERTY ANSI is close enough to QWERTZ ISOstrangely enough once accustomed to the layout, it feel more comfortable and logical than ISO layout in key placement
