The keycaps are GPT double shot caps with shine through, allowing you to see every key and shift function even in the dark.Hall-Effect Linear Switches and CustomizationThe standout feature of the Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE is its new magnetic Hall-Effect linear switches. These switches utilize magnetic technology to deliver smooth, frictionless keystrokes. This result is an incredibly responsive typing and gaming experience with a linear actuation that feels both light and consistent. In the Glorious software you are able to individually set custom actuation points per key, which is perfect for fine tuning to get the most precise and accurate strokes especially for those fast twitch first person shooter games like CS2, APEX, Overwatch, and Call of Duty. Personally I set up the rapid triggers for my WASD keys and space bar, where the actuation point is at 1.0mm and the rapid trigger press and release sensitivity is set to 0.1mm for the fastest possible response times. This is a huge game changer for gaming and quick strafing in FPS games. Along with customizing your actuation points in the Glorious software you can also customize the pulling rate from 1,000hz to 8,000hz and the RGB. The keyboard supports per-key RGB lighting along with a ton of cool preset options and colors, allowing users to create their own lighting profiles. Additionally, the GMMK 3 PRO HE is fully programmable through Glorious software, enabling you to remap keys, create macros, and adjust lighting effects with ease.In the software you can have up to 3 profiles, which I found nice where I have 2 profiles dedicated for my main games and 1 profile for work and productivity. I realized that I needed to make a dedicated work/productivity profile because the rapid triggers were a little too precise with my awful typing abilities and I was accidentally grazing keys when typing. As someone who typically uses wired keyboards due to concerns about input lag and compatibility, I was pleasantly surprised by the lag-free experience with the GMMK Pro 3. Whether using the 2.4GHz dongle or Bluetooth, the keyboard performed admirably, allowing me to maintain my usual typing speed of 120 to 130+ WPM without noticeable input lag or delays. The minimal and unobtrusive dongle, which is similar in profile to a Logitech receiver, is my preferred method, but the Bluetooth connection is also convenient and performs well.Typing on the GMMK Pro 3 feels and sounds fantastic, thanks to the Fox HE switches which deliver what the included insert describes as a "smooth" experience with a "creamy sound" in a linear switch. \While I generally favor tactile switches like the Glorious Pandas on my original GMMK Pro, the Fox HE switches offer a surprisingly enjoyable linear feel with a similarly enjoyable sound profile. I would not describe this as a "thocky" board stock, but it isn't pingy either and has a sound that, for lack of a better word, is velvety smooth. The original GMMK Pro was known to have some issues with stabilizers and the PCB at launch, but I haven't noticed rattly stabs or an overly stiff backplate, or any such issues. The included sample switches are a nice touch too, though I found the Foxes to be the best fit for this board. Having the actuation force not match the bump on a tactile switch feels weird, and while the Lynxes offer a similarly linear feel, I felt that their sound was not as enjoyable and that they did not do as well with RGB shine through. Finally, the Raptors (the clicky switches) were flat-out unpleasant to me — I've never liked clickies, though, and frankly, that is the fun part of a mechanical keyboard! Being able to test all the different switches and get a feel for how they feel and sound on this board was a unique experience and one that I hope to see more often.Speaking of switches, the new HE switches are a major appeal factor for this board, and for good reason. The HE switches' main appeal for me is their longevity and typing experience. I’m sure most people reading this have heard of HE joysticks to combat stick drift, and part of HE’s strength there is they are analog (great for joysticks) and don’t have mechanical contacts, making them more durable than mechanical switches. Part of the HE switches’ perks is the ability to tweak actuation settings in real time, which is both impressive and mindboggling to experience. Other advanced features like dynamic keystroke, mod tap, and rapid trigger all rely on HE switch functionality and add to the board's versatility, even if I haven't fully explored their potential yet. I suspect dynamic keystroke would be great for MOBA gamers, and I can see both dynamic keystroke and rapid trigger being useful in games like FFXIV. Keybinds and macros, which I use regularly for work, function beautifully.The lighting effects have been expanded upon as well, with new options like "Glorious Mode," "Kamehameha," and "Pass Without Trace" adding variety (my personal favorite is Glorious Mode since I love rainbow!). While some preset previews need updating, either rendering very laggily or not at all, the overall lighting experience is solid and any issues are sure to be resolved by launch. The continuation of the sidebar lights is very welcome as well, and a badge light next to the knob further adds to the "upgrade" vibes of the GMMK Pro 3.The ability to adjust polling rate and latency is another welcome feature, catering to both gaming and more general use. I assume that using the lower default polling rate and latency settings would reduce the hit on battery life that higher settings would have, but of course more intensive settings would be a must-have for certain use cases like competitive gaming. Having the option to balance the two is great.The knob on the GMMK Pro 3 feels more satisfying than on previous models, with a lovely click when pushed in. While I would love the ability to remap it — for artists, for instance, it would be great to be able to turn the knob to adjust brush sizes — the overall feel is premium and there is some information suggesting that may be a feature Soon™.Battery life is strong, easily lasting a full workday even with backlighting. The claimed 24-hour life on 2.4GHz and 58 hours on Bluetooth seems accurate based on my testing. While the Glorious Core software has been updated, it could still use some refinement—especially in the key remapper screen, which feels clunky and looks like a poor optimization of space utilization.The stock keycaps are also quite nice, offering a clean, all-white aesthetic that could easily fit into a professional environment (provided you turn down the RGB). By default they have shine-through legends, which helps the lighting effects pop a bit, but I would expect pudding-style keycaps to help them shine.The aluminum case feels sturdy and premium. My previous GMMK Pro was described by a friend as a weight that could be used to kill a home intruder, and I could see the same being said of the GMMK Pro 3. The weight is a benefit and a drawback, but overall it is nice to not worry about it shifting around while typing. Also like previous Pro models, the GMMK Pro 3 offers plenty of room for customization, from swapping out the top plate and rotary knob to changing keycap sets. Like the original GMMK Pro, the stock "silver" plate looks more white in certain lighting. For people who want a very simple level of customizability, that is a great way to offer personalization without any intensive mods. Being hotswap, more enthusiast-level users can go as far as to install mods and swap out all the switches and keycaps.MacOS compatibility is yet another feature that I did not expect but was pleasantly surprised by. It's a nice bonus with an easy toggle, and the extra keycaps for macOS support are a great benefit for Mac users hoping to use this board.Drawbacks:One downside carried over from previous models is the lack of adjustable feet. While this isn't an issue for me, it might be for others who prefer more customization to their typing angles. Additionally, I am excited to see customizable per-key lighting for the badge and side lights in future updates and hope that this functionality is added soon, as it would be a fun way to add an even more personal touch to this board.Overall Verdict:The GMMK Pro 3 is a worthy successor in the Glorious lineup, combining new features with the quality and customization options that have come to be associated with the GMMK Pro lineup. Whether you're a gamer, a typist, or someone who simply appreciates mechanical keyboards, the GMMK Pro 3 is a solid choice. There are some quirks that should be ironed out before official release, but beyond those I have little to criticize about this keyboard and have replaced my GMMK Pro as my daily driver!+ stock switches feel and sound great, but you can also try out the other new HE switches thanks to the included samples+ HE switches allow for unique, interesting customizability down to the actuation force+ lighting effects are plentiful and work well, plus the GMMK Pro 3 sports a new badge light on top of the backlighting and sidebar lights+ feels and looks premium, solid and heavy aluminum case+ knob is tactile and works well+ macros and other keyboard customizations work well+ new ability to do things like mod tap and dynamic keystroke due to HE switches+ very customizable, lots of options for top plates and knob color swaps+ macOS compatibility with extra macOS keycaps included (!!!)+ Glorious Core software is updated to reflect new features+++ this keyboard looks, feels, and sounds good stock (great for someone who is new to mechanical keyboards or just casually into the hobby)- no adjustable feet (same as other GMMK Pro models)- no per-key lighting for badge and side lights as of writing, though this is anticipated in later updates- some lighting preset previews aren't working at time of writing, but this is expected to be fixed later and the lighting presets themselves do work when applied

In the Glorious software you are able to individually set custom actuation points per key, which is perfect for fine tuning to get the most precise and accurate strokes especially for those fast twitch first person shooter games like CS2, APEX, Overwatch, and Call of Duty. Personally I set up the rapid triggers for my WASD keys and space bar, where the actuation point is at 1.0mm and the rapid trigger press and release sensitivity is set to 0.1mm for the fastest possible response times. This is a huge game changer for gaming and quick strafing in FPS games. Along with customizing your actuation points in the Glorious software you can also customize the pulling rate from 1,000hz to 8,000hz and the RGB. The keyboard supports per-key RGB lighting along with a ton of cool preset options and colors, allowing users to create their own lighting profiles. Additionally, the GMMK 3 PRO HE is fully programmable through Glorious software, enabling you to remap keys, create macros, and adjust lighting effects with ease.In the software you can have up to 3 profiles, which I found nice where I have 2 profiles dedicated for my main games and 1 profile for work and productivity. I realized that I needed to make a dedicated work/productivity profile because the rapid triggers were a little too precise with my awful typing abilities and I was accidentally grazing keys when typing. The minimal and unobtrusive dongle, which is similar in profile to a Logitech receiver, is my preferred method, but the Bluetooth connection is also convenient and performs well.Typing on the GMMK Pro 3 feels and sounds fantastic, thanks to the Fox HE switches which deliver what the included insert describes as a "smooth" experience with a "creamy sound" in a linear switch. \While I generally favor tactile switches like the Glorious Pandas on my original GMMK Pro, the Fox HE switches offer a surprisingly enjoyable linear feel with a similarly enjoyable sound profile. I would not describe this as a "thocky" board stock, but it isn't pingy either and has a sound that, for lack of a better word, is velvety smooth. The original GMMK Pro was known to have some issues with stabilizers and the PCB at launch, but I haven't noticed rattly stabs or an overly stiff backplate, or any such issues. The included sample switches are a nice touch too, though I found the Foxes to be the best fit for this board. Having the actuation force not match the bump on a tactile switch feels weird, and while the Lynxes offer a similarly linear feel, I felt that their sound was not as enjoyable and that they did not do as well with RGB shine through. Finally, the Raptors (the clicky switches) were flat-out unpleasant to me — I've never liked clickies, though, and frankly, that is the fun part of a mechanical keyboard! Being able to test all the different switches and get a feel for how they feel and sound on this board was a unique experience and one that I hope to see more often.Speaking of switches, the new HE switches are a major appeal factor for this board, and for good reason. The HE switches' main appeal for me is their longevity and typing experience. I’m sure most people reading this have heard of HE joysticks to combat stick drift, and part of HE’s strength there is they are analog (great for joysticks) and don’t have mechanical contacts, making them more durable than mechanical switches. Part of the HE switches’ perks is the ability to tweak actuation settings in real time, which is both impressive and mindboggling to experience. Other advanced features like dynamic keystroke, mod tap, and rapid trigger all rely on HE switch functionality and add to the board's versatility, even if I haven't fully explored their potential yet. I suspect dynamic keystroke would be great for MOBA gamers, and I can see both dynamic keystroke and rapid trigger being useful in games like FFXIV. Keybinds and macros, which I use regularly for work, function beautifully.The lighting effects have been expanded upon as well, with new options like "Glorious Mode," "Kamehameha," and "Pass Without Trace" adding variety (my personal favorite is Glorious Mode since I love rainbow!). While some preset previews need updating, either rendering very laggily or not at all, the overall lighting experience is solid and any issues are sure to be resolved by launch. The continuation of the sidebar lights is very welcome as well, and a badge light next to the knob further adds to the "upgrade" vibes of the GMMK Pro 3.The ability to adjust polling rate and latency is another welcome feature, catering to both gaming and more general use. I assume that using the lower default polling rate and latency settings would reduce the hit on battery life that higher settings would have, but of course more intensive settings would be a must-have for certain use cases like competitive gaming. Having the option to balance the two is great.The knob on the GMMK Pro 3 feels more satisfying than on previous models, with a lovely click when pushed in. While I would love the ability to remap it — for artists, for instance, it would be great to be able to turn the knob to adjust brush sizes — the overall feel is premium and there is some information suggesting that may be a feature Soon™.Battery life is strong, easily lasting a full workday even with backlighting. The claimed 24-hour life on 2.4GHz and 58 hours on Bluetooth seems accurate based on my testing. While the Glorious Core software has been updated, it could still use some refinement—especially in the key remapper screen, which feels clunky and looks like a poor optimization of space utilization.The stock keycaps are also quite nice, offering a clean, all-white aesthetic that could easily fit into a professional environment (provided you turn down the RGB). By default they have shine-through legends, which helps the lighting effects pop a bit, but I would expect pudding-style keycaps to help them shine.The aluminum case feels sturdy and premium. My previous GMMK Pro was described by a friend as a weight that could be used to kill a home intruder, and I could see the same being said of the GMMK Pro 3. The weight is a benefit and a drawback, but overall it is nice to not worry about it shifting around while typing. Also like previous Pro models, the GMMK Pro 3 offers plenty of room for customization, from swapping out the top plate and rotary knob to changing keycap sets. Like the original GMMK Pro, the stock "silver" plate looks more white in certain lighting. For people who want a very simple level of customizability, that is a great way to offer personalization without any intensive mods. Being hotswap, more enthusiast-level users can go as far as to install mods and swap out all the switches and keycaps.MacOS compatibility is yet another feature that I did not expect but was pleasantly surprised by. It's a nice bonus with an easy toggle, and the extra keycaps for macOS support are a great benefit for Mac users hoping to use this board.Drawbacks:One downside carried over from previous models is the lack of adjustable feet. While this isn't an issue for me, it might be for others who prefer more customization to their typing angles. Additionally, I am excited to see customizable per-key lighting for the badge and side lights in future updates and hope that this functionality is added soon, as it would be a fun way to add an even more personal touch to this board.Overall Verdict:The GMMK Pro 3 is a worthy successor in the Glorious lineup, combining new features with the quality and customization options that have come to be associated with the GMMK Pro lineup. It’s HEAVY, coming in at a little over 3 and a half pounds. It won’t go anywhere unless you really want it to. The keys are buttery smooth with a nice typing sound. Coming from a different brand of mechanical keyboard, this thing is solid, with no metallic ping or resonance at all. Just the sound of the keys actuating. As this is wireless, it has an extra light at the top in the badge to show the battery status and paring state, as well as control knob.This thing is loaded with first time features for Glorious. First of all, it has wireless. It can be set to a blistering polling rate of 8,000hz when connected to a wire and a 2ms response time, wireless is more limited but still quite fast. It also supports Bluetooth if you can’t use the dongle or want to pair to a non-gaming device near by! The real star of the show though are the hall effect keys. No physical electrical or optical switches here, Glorious went all out with contactless magnets! Having hall effect keys means that the keyboard knows where each key is as it moves through the keystroke, so you can set your actuation point of where the key registers a press, or even do some crazy things like have the keys change functions as they move through the keystroke and are released. Some functions, like actuation point, can be configured either globally or per key, while others, such as multiple functions, are configured for each key. This keyboard is a tinkerer’s dream, with essentially limitless options to tweak both the physical and logical behavior of the keyboard.The keyboard also has extensive customizable lighting options. Several functions are built in presets, as well as per key custom lighting if you so desire. Multiple profiles for lighting and key behavior can be loaded using the Core app so they are ready to go based on what you are doing, be it productivity or gaming.With all of these options this keyboard is a great option for gamers, tinkerers, or those who appreciate a quality typing experience. It is an expensive, premium option loaded with features and high quality keys, and is recommended if you want one of the best prebuilt custom keyboards around.

Inside the control center app are a broad selection of light effects I would call excellent and some of the best offered as a grouping of "built ins".Being a multi-functional keyboard, you have the ability to use the onboard 2.4 GHz connectivity, blue tooth (chosen with a slider switch) or a hard wired arrangement - with the included USB-A to USB-C braided cable. The included cable isn't the typical coiled Glorious offering but it is still top quality.As with their other GMMK Pro offerings, there is a rotary dial/switch which is smooth and precise.One thing worth mentioning and I don't consider it a short-fall is that this keyboard has one angle of orientation. In other words, there are no selectable legs underneath - so you'll either like the somewhat low-profile aspect of the orientation or you won't. For me, it's perfect - but everyone is different - so know that going in!All-in-all, the build quality of the GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless Hall-Effect Linear is simply the best of the best and hits all the right "notes" for my particular taste in gaming keyboards.Moving to the Glorious Core software, you will find everything you need to customize the RGB look and actuation response + macro like functions. From what I can tell, the actuation response of these linear switches is consistent across the adjust-ability range - dare I say - in a "linear" fashion. This is my second experience with customizable actuation points and previously (on a competitors keyboard...) I wasn't much impressed. Not so with this keyboard. It works amazingly well and everyone should find a good 'set point' for their preferred selection of keys. I found my preferred actuation point a little quicker than the default but not too aggressive and set this way, I enjoy typing on this keyboard much more than on my GMMK Pro 3 - which is tethered to my primary, gaming/productivity machine - or had been until now. For those demanding some of the most advanced key binding controls available, you will certainly not be disappointed in what the GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% offers in the app.Highlighting the RGB functionality, there is a diffusion plane surrounding the switch bodies that looks amazing without producing a lot of distracting 'hot spots'. There are light strips on the left & right sides of the keyboard frame that look great too and can be programmed to provide feedback - like caps-lock being engaged.I do like that fact that you can change to a Glorious coiled cable or one of a different brand with USB-C termination. And another mind blowing bonus Glorious included with this "kit" are single samples of 4 of their other Glorious HE switches; Fox HE (smooth linear with creamy sound), Lynx HE (smooth linear with marbly sound), Panda HE (rounded tactile with a thocky sound) and finally Raptor HE (clicky sound & feel). It's surprising because the keyboard is compact - a 75% keyboard. My first thought was that it's packing a lot of battery. However, the box claims 58 hours on battery with Bluetooth and while that's impressive, it's also not that different from some other wireless mechanical keyboard (so also with RGB lighting) which weigh in closer to 2lbs than 3.5lbs. So what gives? It seems to be the housing design and padding. Unlike some keyboards that seem to use flip out legs to give the keyboard a sloped shape, the entire keyboard housing is like this. And it's also taller than other keyboards in part because of what I'd find when I started using it - it is packing some sound insulation material and pretty robust. Typically, one would be changing switch type if sound was an issue (assuming you were fine with the change to actuation point as well). Looks wise. . .its not necessarily my cup of tea. It's got a mix of chrome and white going on that together with the RGB lighting just seem to conflict. I think I'm definitely more on either the all black keyboard side with lighting or all white with much more subtle lighting effects going on. Instead, the GMMK 3 PRO HE is a bit in your face with all of it.One thing to note, despite being hall effect or maybe I should say, having hall effect detection, these are still true mechanical switches. The keyboard can have the keys swapped out for ones compatible with Glorious' hall effect sensing or just normal MX switches. That can be good for someone making the transition but who has also already invested in some backups. The question becomes whether one would be fine swapping to the non HE switches in the event of something happen?Feature wise, you’ve got both Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz compatibility, USB-C charging, and a customizable button/dial. So you can both rotate it and press it. The dial press requires some force making use of it much more intentional than a keypress. The pre-release software for the GMMK 3 PRO HE was pretty straightforward to use. The only gotcha might be if you’ve not previously used Glorious keyboards/software, to keep an eye on whether you’re making a global edit or a per-key edit. I goofed that a few times.One of my usual tests with new keyboards is my typing speed and accuracy with typing tutor. I do try to vary the prompts so I’m not testing my memory of it, but I’ve found that gross banding on results and my feel when typing through the test tell me a lot. With the GMMK 3 PRO HE, my results were in line with other keyboards I’ve liked, can reliably hit 80-85 WPM with peaks in 90. I’ve accepted that 100 is out of reach without significant practice and commitment to a particular keyboard setup. The keyboard felt comfortable with just the right amount of feedback. I got some variation by playing around in the software with the point at which a keypress is registered or the key reset, but while some settings made things demonstrably worse, I didn’t really find something that felt like it was consistently better. Some changes seemed to do well, but a follow up testing round would be back around my average results for speed and accuracy.Gaming, I focused on Doom (2016) and CS2. Both of these involve cases where I’m normally cycling through things - primarily weapons so I felt could be an interesting way to customize actions based on the actuation point of a keypress. Essentially, bind a particular action, for example selecting smoke grenade vs flashbang, vs he vs incendiary, to how far down I’d pressed a key. Normal play in the games went fine with the keyboard. I didn’t experience anything special. Again, I tried tweaking just the keypress actuation point and enabling rapid trigger, and while it did seem to give me some additional burst fire capability, and certainly felt cool and new, the performance improvement seemed small. I think these features might give an edge to elite players though reducing lag would probably still have a much better impact for my gameplay than anything else. Mapping 4 actions to different actuation points on the same key was interesting. It definitely worked but in some ways slowed me down. I needed to be really intentional about where I stopped. It definitely makes the key feel more analog-like but I think requires significant muscle memory before it could be useful. After my sessions, I started to feel this could be more impactful in a platform scroller or RPG though maybe only in scenarios where one could confirm a choice. Swapping weapons, it’s not really an issue if you temporarily stop on an unintended one. But if this was used to trigger locking in a selection or actuating one of several weapons, having the muscle memory dialed in would really be key (no pun intended).In summary, this was a good mechanical keyboard though I’m not sure the hall effect sensing gave it that much of an edge over my other keyboards. Ignoring the looks, it’s well designed, sturdy, though perhaps a bit weighty. The HE functionality certainly shows promise and isn’t a gimmick but I think it really requires more time to find a use case where this shines or adapt to the keyboard enough where it shines, than in the period of time covered by this review.

It’s set in a very heavy aluminum case and feels well put together - the whole thing weighs about 3.4 lbs. At the top right is a knurled volume knob that turns and clicks that is also aluminum and next to that is a gold accent piece that houses the LED indicator light. The preinstalled keycaps are a bright white color, which does look good though I personally think a more neutral gray color might look better against the silver top case. I’m also not a fan of the Caps Lock key being swapped out for a down arrow and the Enter key reading ‘ASCEND’. I’m not a fan of the gold accent piece either, but fortunately all these pieces can be swapped out for other keycaps and I assume Glorious will sell different colors of the LED cover in the future as well. The back of the keyboard has the USB-C connection, as well as mode switches for Mac/Windows and 2.4GHz/Wired/Bluetooth and this is also accented in gold.I thought the sample switches in particular were a nice addition as I was able to actually try them out. I do really like the Fox HE switches that are preinstalled, but I also would strongly consider replacing them with the Lynx or Panda switches in the future and it’s not something I personally would have even given much thought to had I not had a chance to try them. One thing I noticed while swapping the switches though was that the included keycap and switch pullers don’t seem to be the same as what Glorious offers on their website. The keycap puller for me worked fine, but did require an uncomfortable amount of pressure to get it and underneath the keycaps. The switch puller I had a lot of issues with and I ended up damaging most of the sample switches trying to remove them from the base. I haven’t worked on keyboards like this in the past, so this could be user error, but I felt I was very careful about how I was using the tool and it was just not a great experience trying to get the switches out. If I decide to completely replace the switches in the future I will probably purchase a different switch puller. The GMMK 3 Pro HE can use both Glorious’ hall effect switches and standard MX mechanical switches.Setting up the keyboard with the Glorious Core 2.0.2 software I was provided was easy enough. The keyboard was immediately recognized by my PC and the software did recognize the keyboard. The layout of the software is basic, but mostly straightforward and allows you to customize the polling rate/response time, lighting, keybindings, and actuation points of the switches. One of the neat things you can do with the software is you can program each key to activate a different function depending on what position it’s pressed in as the hall effects can detect where specifically you are in the keyboard press. The lighting effects are neat as well and let you do per-key customization and have some cool preset effects like a ripple that shoots light out from whatever key you pressed on. The software doesn’t seem to have a ‘live’ connection with the keyboard though and each time you make a change that needs to be saved to the keyboard. The upside of this is you don’t have to depend on PC software to maintain your keyboard functions, but the downside is it makes configuring the keyboard a bit cumbersome. I also ran into some issues getting some of my lighting effects to save to the keyboard and ended up having to go wired in some circumstances to get them pushed through. I do have to mention again this is prerelease software, though I ran into additional problems that were not listed as known issues. Hopefully by the time that it is officially released it will have improved and once all changes are made you don’t really need to even use the software anyway.I used this as my standard keyboard for a full work day and the typing experience on it is great, though I experienced some connection drops a few times an hour throughout the day and that was a bit concerning to me. I don’t know if this is down to a poor connection from the receiver or if there was some issue with the dock I was using, but I did eventually move the receiver from the back of my Thunderbolt dock directly onto a USB port on the front of my laptop and did not have any further issues. On my PC at home the connection seems to be solid. The keyboard works both wired and wirelessly, so if the consistency of the connection is ever an issue the USB-C cable is always an option. I have not tried the Bluetooth connection, though I imagine for most purposes related to gaming you’d want to go 2.4GHz or wired anyway. One problem for anyone who might be using this for general purpose keyboard activities is there is no Caps Lock indicator on the keyboard, except for the LED lights on the side of the case are blinking instead of solid. If the Caps Lock key itself could somehow be illuminated differently when it’s on that would be nice, but so far I have not found a way to do this in software if that functionality is there. The software also does not seem to accurately indicate the charge level of the keyboard right now and it died unexpectedly on me after about 8 or so hours of use. The quoted battery life on the box for 2.4GHz operation is 24 hours, but I assume this is with the LED lighting turned off.I’m really happy with the quality of this keyboard and the experience of actually using it has been great, but it’s let down by buggy software. I’m hoping Glorious is able to make improvements on it in the meantime, but for now it’s something to be aware of.

This allows more freedom to implement bleeding edge tech.In this case, the killer feature is HE, which stands for Hall Effect. This is the implementation of an old physics discovery where a change in the magnetic field is detected and converted into an electrical signal. When it comes to keyboard, this allows the keycap to register and hold a stroke at different actuation levels, pressure levels, and all kinds of other analog-like control that go beyond the typical binary result of a keyboard registering a keystroke.The Core v2.0 software I used to test allowed me to easily change the actuation point of the keys, although I'll be honest and say the adjustments did not seem to matter that much at the top of the keystroke, but was more obvious when setting to 3.7mm for the lowest keystroke which required me to bottom out the key to register a stroke. I have optical keyboards that are a LOT more sensitive, probably too sensitive. Actuation point can be set per key or globally. There is also the ability to set keystrokes/macros, lighting, keybindings and performance/polling rates/input latency. I'm not sure how much this will impact actual performance for anyone since 8000Hz or even 1000Hz is way overkill, but I am sure this will impact battery life which I will get to later.The keys themselves are linear, although they have an interesting suction feel and have a very slight resistance throughout the key press. Typing is also relatively quiet compared to linears like Red/Black that are still super loud when the keys bottom out. These switches definitely have some kind of dampening foam that gives the keys a softer landing when bottoming them out and there's almost a suction feel to the keys when they raise back up. Some people might love this, others might not as there are times it is reminiscent of a rubber dome keyboard of old.... The keys are unfortunately in a "well" and not flush to the keyboard body, which means they are harder to clean out over time since dust and such can get inside, but the GMMK3P comes with 2 key pullers and are designed to easily pop out each key.The keyboard itself is AMAZING build quality, everything you would expect from the PCMR keyboard that leaves nothing to be desired. Its a solid hunk of aluminum and probably weighs 5lbs. Seriously its massive and dense and looks/feels amazing. Anyone who sees the keyboard is going to be amazed and maybe wonder if its an alien artifact on your desk. RGB is excellent, keycaps are super high quality and solid feeling, each key is consistent feeling, even the larger keys like spacebar, backspace, enter (Ascend), tab, shift etc. From the accessories kit, it looks like they have some foam landers that help with the consistent feel that can be changed out.Keyboard layout is said to be 75%, but they definitely squished it down to maybe 68 or 70% by moving the arrow keys and the home key cluster to vertical. I don't love this, I would've preferred them to keep it the same, but it is MUCh better than the 60% keyboards that totally omit arrow/home keys and also Function-keys.So, why did I take a star off since all of my comments seem to be overwhelmingly positive? Because there's clearly a premium as a new offering in the GMMK lineup that this is a wireless keyboard. But here's my problems with that:1. As mentioned, the keyboard is incredibly heavy. So heavy that it is unlikely you will take it with you and move it. It is seriously like 5lbs and while small, I would not consider it portable.2. The battery life is BAD. Like 2 days of playing Diablo 4 just for 5-6 hours each session for a total of 12 or so hours bad. My other keyboards last at least a week, if not more, and that is also using them for work at home 2-3 days a week too. Some of this may be due to the RGB lighting settings as well as reducing input latency to 2ms, but polling rate is just 1000Hz. 8000Hz you probably just want to keep it plugged in. The first time the battery ran out I simply couldn't believe it. Just 2 days of use and out of nowhere in the middle of a Diablo 4 infernal horde run, my inputs stop. If it was Hardcore that character would've been RIP. So I charged it up and used it again just to make sure and yep, just 2 days maybe 12 hours of moderate usage and battery dead. Worst part is that the Core v2.0 software always showed 100% battery and did NOT accurately update the battery status. I am sure this can be fixed to show the actual battery level, but its a shame they didn't carve out some additional aluminum from the chassis and add a bigger battery.3. Another huge benefit of wireless for me is that they typically allow both 2.4RF via USB dongle as well as BT connectivity without any dongle. This is amazing because you can quickly switch inputs between your main gaming PC and a work laptop or peripheral device at your desk without having to move the keyboard or have a 2nd keyboard. The downside is that the mode switcher, along with the USB-C charging port, is in an indented part of the top/front of the keyboard that you cannot see. On top of that, the toggle is not a simple key press, it is a switch that is STIFF so get ready to scuff some fingernails and remind yourself how heavy this keyboard is bc you have to lift it to see where the toggle is.4. As mentioned the software Core v2.0 is pre-release and does not seem to be fully functional which is understandable. I didn't ding off this but they really need to fix this especially the battery meter.Is this an amazing keyboard? Yes it certainly is. In many ways its the nicest keyboard I've ever laid my hands on. But its not perfect in terms of design and functionality, there's still a lot they can improve upon and I am sure Glorious will do that. It is clear this company is run by PC enthusiasts and developers who understand what other PC enthusiasts want, they just need to keep iterating and getting it right.

Everything about this keyboard screams high quality. The keyboard is a 75% keyboard so it doesn’t have the numeric keys but It does make good use of the existing keys to give you the typical lighting and media key controls. The top of the keys have a slight finger indent and are made of PBT with a textured surface so I feel very confident when typing on this keyboard. The keycaps are double-shot which provides a solid platform while letting the RGB light shine brightly through the legend. The keyboard comes with Glorious Fox HE magnetic linear switches which are very smooth and have a lightweight actuation which I really like for gaming as well as general typing. They are relatively quiet compared to many other mechanical keyboards that I own so if you use this for work everyone on your conference calls won’t hear you typing. They include four sample switches to tryout in-case you want to purchase different switches than the Fox HE linear switches that come with the keyboard. Along with the switches they include a keycap puller and a switch puller. There is also a rotary dial that in the default mode provide volume control and mute functions.This keyboard supports 2.4 ghz wireless using the included dongle, Bluetooth and wired mode using the included USB-C to USB-A cable. It is macOS compatible and comes with two optional keycaps. On the back of the keyboard there is a switch for selecting macOS or Windows and another switch for selecting the connectivity (2.4, Bluetooth, Wired). Glorious claims that the keyboard’s battery life is 24 hours for wireless mode and 58 hours for Bluetooth however I would think that might vary slightly with the RGB lighting mode selected.The Glorious Core2 software offers some very unique features such as Custom Actuation, Rapid Trigger, Dynamic Keystroke, Mod Tap and Toggle Key functionality. When I first saw this I had to rethink some of my game play and how I could utilize these features. Custom Actuation lets you set the keypress actuation point, Rapid Trigger lets you set the press and release sensitivity, Dynamic Keystroke lets you set up to four different bindings or actions for a key press. Mod Tap gives you the ability to have two different actions. Lastly Toggle Key allows the key to stay engaged even when released until it is pressed a second time. I have found the Toggle Key to be very handy in my games that force you to hold the key for regeneration or respawning. I am still working with the Custom actuation and Rapid Trigger features to improve my FPS reaction time. Optimizing the switch engagement to match your reaction time and pressure is a whole new dynamic. The software also offers the typical settings for configuring the RGB lighting, macros and profiles.

It’s beautifully built, with boundless possibilities for personalization and customization. While I’m not entirely thrilled with the spacebar, everything else about this keyboard is top-notch, making it a worthy addition to any serious setup.
