I've been on the Glossier train since 2017 and the balms have always been one of my faves and I was disappointed when they changed the formula. So, super happy they've listened to their customers and brought it back. The strawberry scent (it doesn't have a flavor, also please don't eat your lip balms) is more of a candy than actual fruit scent, which I enjoy but I know others might not. The color is a pinkish red (and as the description says) sheer. If you're looking for something with more color pay off, go for an actual lipstick/stain and don't expect this to be something it's not. It's a moisturizing balm with just a hint of color that's perfect if you want to add a little extra oomph. I find it to be one of the more moisturizing balms out there and the ... I'm looking forward to seeing if they change the other scents/colors back to the original formula as well.

This is the best one of the Blam.Com. OMG I can't get over how great it is. The colour is just perfect and OMG the smell and taste is just so GREAT!!!! Can't to give this to people for their birthdays. This just is the IT GIRL product of 2024. This is going to be the best thing this summer. This is better than any other lip product on SephoraAs a devoted Glossier fan, I couldn't wait to get my hands on their newest addition to the Balm Dotcom family: the Strawberry Balm Dotcom. The moment you twist open the cap, you're greeted with the fresh, juicy aroma of ripe strawberries. It's like a burst of summer in a tube, instantly uplifting your mood with its sweet fragrance. The scent is noticeable without being overwhelming, making it perfect for everyday wear.Texture-wise, Glossier has nailed it once again. The formula is creamy and luxurious, gliding effortlessly onto the lips without feeling greasy or heavy. It's packed with nourishing ingredients like castor seed oil, beeswax, and lanolin, which provide long-lasting hydration and keep your lips feeling soft and smooth throughout the day.One of the things I love most about Glossier's Balm Dotcoms is their versatility, and the Strawberry version is no exception. Not only does it hydrate and protect your lips, but it can also be used to tame unruly eyebrows, add a subtle sheen to your eyelids, or even moisturize dry patches of skin. It's a true multitasker that earns its place in your everyday beauty routine.Packaging-wise, Glossier's signature minimalist aesthetic shines through once again. The tube is sleek and compact, making it easy to toss in your purse or pocket for on-the-go hydration. Plus, the cute illustrations of strawberries on the packaging add a playful touch that makes you smile every time you reach for

This purchase made me sad... I was an OG Glossier Stan and had pretty much every one of the original balm dotcoms. I'm glad I missed the phase of the dreaded reformulation, but now that the original formula is allegedly back, I wanted one right away especially because of the applicator tip. (I feel too old to be applying lip balm with my finger throughout the day, and I live in NYC which would just feel icky in terms of hygiene.) I will say, the color and feel of this are nice for the short amount of time that I had it on... but the scent and flavor are unbelievably bad. I ignored the other reviews complaining about the strawberry because I'm not normally one to complain much about scents/flavors, but this is the cheapest, most artificial I've ever encountered. ... Imagine you found an old Bonne Bell chapstick from the 1980s that had spent decades in the sun so the plastic leached into the balm... that's what this is. An immediate return, such a shame.

I have used the glossier balm dot coms for many years now and the old formulation is just so unique, hence why it is a staple. It is great not just for the lips but I love to use it on my cuticles when out and about (the original shade) as it is so hydrating. A little goes a long way and a tube lasts a very long time. The mint scented version is my favourite, it leaves a fresh feeling on the lips which is long lasting. The only negative I have encountered was with the shade birthday. Whilst I love the scent and the texture is consistent with the other shades I have used, the glitter particles are just not for me. They adhere to the lips and are difficult to remove even long past the actual balm disappearing. Overall this shade was just not flattering but I cannot ... If I could rate this product above five stars, I without a doubt would! Glossier is just an amazing brand, and there is absolutely nothing I wouldn't buy from them. The new Strawberry balm just smells exactly like strawberries, and it smells heavenly! Also, it has the most stunning tint, between bright red and pink! It isn't too much tint, and it's just beautiful! Perfect with or without makeup! Also, it is SO hydrating, and leaves my lips super soft, and not at all dry. Especially since they changed it back to the original formula, I love it so much more. I swear I never leave the house without this product. Also, there is just so much product in one container, and for only $14, it's SUCH a win! The container doesn't leak at all, and it's so cute. The packaging ... I've read so many comments lamenting Glossier changing their formula for these lip balms and how devastated people were. I truly thought it was so dramatic over lip balm of all things. Recently saw that Glossier decided to bring back their OG formula starting with strawberry and I just couldn't help myself, I wanted to see if all of the fuss was worth it. I love strawberries, but not a huge fan of strawberry candy so I was actually really worried I'd hate the smell. Unfortunately for me, I love it. Yes, it is definitely a strawberry candy scent, but I don't find it to be sickeningly sweet or overly artificial to the point of being gross or distracting. I've definitely tried cheaper lip balms that had way more artificial scents. The formula is everything people said it would be, it coats and hydrates my lips so nicely. I don't think I've had dry or dehydrated lips since I started using this and I actually tossed out another lip balm that was doing nothing for me. The difference between the two were just so glaring, now I am exclusively using this. As for the formula not being vegan, with all of the fuss I expected this to be something dark and sinister. It's literally just beeswax and lanolin, animal byproducts. Lanolin is extracted from sheep wool after they are sheared, and the whole point of shearing is to prevent the wool from getting so heavy it weighs the sheep down. Also as a new mother, I was recommended to use lanolin cream and found it's incredible at healing dry and cracked skin anywhere on the body. So it is enough for me that Glossier obtains beeswax and lanolin in a cruelty free manner.Long story short, after using this for like 48 hours I went and purchased like 4 more of the OG balm dotcom original formulas and can't wait to use them all. Amazing lip product!
I’ve owned 3 different “flavors” of this product. I was gifted the birthday one, loved it but had to throw it away because I had developed a skin condition around my mouth that compromised all my lip products at that had been using. I loved my first product that I wanted to repurchase and got the rose one. The flavor was just ok but not soon after it horribly separated. So much so that I didn’t want to use the product anymore and I ended up throwing it away. They released the strawberry flavor and I was heavily advertised this one and I caved and purchased it thinking this one might be different. At first it was and the taste was so nice. Now it’s been a couple months and it’s also separating and I’m devastated. I went online and people mention putting it in the fridge to reform so I’m trying that now. Others mention removing the product from its tube and putting in another travel container and mixing it to fix the separation. This is a lot of effort on our parts to maintain a product I feel the company needs to figure out to prevent. It’s truly unfortunate but after this tube I’m forever passing on this.
I don't know - I don't think this is the original formula that put Glossier Balm on the map. I wore the original balm for YEARS - it was the only thing I wore, in fact. I had ordered 11 tubes in December, and by the time it arrived in January, I discovered it had been reformulated and the new formula was horrible. I saved every tube of the original formula that I had - savoring it. Then I launched on a mission to find a replacement. I bought more tubes of balm from other brands than you can image - not finding one as comparable. Maybe Lanolips was the closest. When Glossier announced it was bringing back the original formula this year, I purchased my numerous tubes and cracked open the older original tubes that I had been saving. When Glossier announced it was bringing back the original formula this year, I purchased my numerous tubes and cracked open the older original tubes that I had been saving. But, the original-original tubes and the new-original tubes are not the same. The older original formula stayed on for hours, and was thick but not sticky. The newer original formula is light, greasy feeling, and gone quickly. I'm not suffering from dry lips when the new original is gone, but I am reapplying too much and I don't like the slippery feel.In the end, this is it for me. I'll use the tubes I have - old and new - but my break up with Glossier is final. I'm going to Lanolips for good - where the product doesn't change, the mint is just as good, and it stays on for hours.
It’s a marmite product, you either love it or you hate it. Personally I don’t hate it, but I can understand why some do.It’s not the most hydrating, when it’s goes on initially it’s nice but doesn’t last long. Some think the scent is too strong, personally I like it. The packaging is nice and easy to use, but it can feel like you’re paying too much for what is essentially a tinted lip balm.Personally, I use it when I’m out and about and need a bit of colour and hydration. I like the Fig and Strawberry shades as they are natural and easy to apply without a mirror. The Chocolate shade is nice, but for me the smell is too overpowering - but maybe I’m just more of a floral and vanilla girl.My advice would be to go into the store, feel the texture, look at the colour ... I have been eyeing these lip balms forever (like years) and finally splurged. The tints are what sold me on them. I am a busy mom with toddlers and babies and I’m always kissing them so I hate wearing lipstick or gloss. At the same time, I live in a really dry climate and need some moisture on my lips on a regular basis. The balm dotcoms are the perfect, functional product for me: tinted so I feel a little fancy, but moisturizing for my dry lips. I LOVE the way they feel on—not sticky, but also not overly slippery? Not thin but not too thick? It’s hard to explain. I just love them and my lips have been so much happier since I bought them. I didn’t think I would be wowed like reviews all talked about but the hype is real! I love the strawberry and the mint. Hot cocoa ... I have already ordered a few more! (Also, even though $16 feels extravagant for a lip balm, the price per ounce is way less than similar products from Summer Fridays or Laneige. I think it’s worth it. I will still always wait for a sale though, haha.)
