This was purchased to compliment existing same model GME radios. We get the reach required for our business used by grounds and housekeeping staff. 200m would be the longest distance we require and for that works.

Top quality! Was having too many issues with the other top brand radio and not receiving messages so took the recommendation of a colleague to try GME. I’d never go back! Can hear everything clearly and volume is loud enough to be heard next to loud traffic. For anyone going into traffic management I’d highly recommend not wasting your money on any other brand and just get the GME

I ordered the GME TX6160 5 watt uhf fb handheld radio pack for work. It arrived much sooner than I expected, arriving on the second business day after I ordered (I ordered on a Friday afternoon, it was ready to collect from post office on Tuesday morning).It was easy to set up to my requirements, and handles any inclement weather I have been required to work in, as well being banged around and not showing so much as a scratch. The range is also ideal, being able to communicate easily with coworkers etc on-site.
I have used Handheld Radios for over 25 Years for Hunting Purposes in some of the most remote and thickest bush in Oz... these little Radios can be life savers or just a really handy tool if you find yourself in a situation. This little unit has worked well for me since i got it improving the performance over my old reliables... a very good upgrade with 2 watt power...
I bought and returned this radio because I wanted to use it in my 4x4 but the cigarette lighter power adapter only connects to the charging cradle, it won’t plug directly into the radio. Obviously, it can be used on battery but that;s not what I wanted. You need a vehicle adapter kit at $120. Bought the XRS 330CTP instead and will mount it in the vehicle.
Great product, I use it as a second radio when spotting cars. As for range it’s reasonable - on Fraser Island you’ll get 2km line of sight and inland trails roughly 1km depending on terrainThe hand mic is a fantastic attachment I use all the time. Tried the ear piece but I find it too quiet to hear people properly. Overall it’s a brilliant kit Id recommend for the weekend warrior that’s not looking to do a permanent install of a UHF
Top notch piece of gear. Bought it for work as I needed one for call outs. Very clear, reliable and holds charge for days when I’m using it. Price is fantastic. Very rugged. Sprayed it with an angle grinder, just blew it down and it’s fine.Only complaint is how small it is and because of this it needs a real buckle to stop it falling out of your pocket.
So far so good, out of the box and good set of accessories, will put her through her paces soon in a trip to port Lincoln.Can feel the quality in her though, it's GME. Clear voice and audio, tested from a valley and the other 3 KMs away over a hill.Flat distance clocked a good 10kms.
Very good simple ave easy to use. Very good solid device with great speaker clarity. It is shaped slightly smaller in the middle thus ergonomically it really fits perfectly into the hands. I have no complaints at all apart from one thing. This is simply that the menu doesn't continue to cycle through whenever I get back to the starting point. I need to hold down the menu button again for a second to renter the menu. Apart from this it is great!
