A very nice radio, has a cover and speaker mike, with a plastic based aerial, the modern, all weather base of the aerial seems to have a bit of flex, time will tell if it is strong enough for the pounding it will receive on my boat

I have purchased and used GME radios in my vehicles and boats for around 35 years now without a single problem or complaint. My latest marine radio the GX700 only reinforces what a great product they are. I have friends who would rather save a few dollars with other brands and sometime much more expensive units only to find at that crucial moment its a no go, not with my GME units. GX700, what a great unit, mine is dash flush fitted with very little protruding into my cabin (6 mtr half cab). Want the best and most reliable, Great looking. buy GME. If the aftersales service is anything like the product it will be great,(I don't know I havn't needed it). But they do have service agents Australia wide if you do have a problem.

i recently purchased this on ebay..for my own safety and to get the kids off my back lol installation was easy and it works a treat ....i was 10 klm off the coast and still had good resection i would score it 10 out of 10 ..so far ..happy boating .
