After being unable to find a a particular spice (that we actually had two of!!!) while scrambling to cook a weeknight dinner, I almost rage emptied the cabinet and threw everything away. Instead, I found these awesome folks online and bought many many jars. I like how they fit together and look so nice AND are easy to find. They stick amazingly well to the metal panels you can purchase, but I will say that the magnets don't stick as well to the side of our newer fancy refrigerator and we don't have much space on the front of it due to the windows on the unit so you can see inside without opening the fridge (the jars slide down a bit on the sides, especially the big jars when they are full. We have a new LG unit, I think it has more plastic and less metal on it than ... My wife had been looking for a new way to organize our old spice cupboard and dispensers. She stumbled across Gneiss Spice (I'm not sure how) but didn't end up getting it. I knew I needed to make it a Christmas gift, and I am so glad I did. She is so happy with them she ordered more jars - I only ordered 24 and that was not enough.We aren't putting the magnetic board up yet, but she has them on the fridge for now and it's working out perfectly. The jars are much sturdier than the old dispensers we were replacing, they look awesome, and the magnet is very strong.If I had one critique, I would like to see some sort of snap on lid for pouring control. My wife is not the measuring spoon type of person, she likes to just add seasoning until she thinks it's good, which ... very functional, nice to have a consistent set of jars or all the spices. Having the large and small jar combo is handy and they fit well together.I have all my rarely used spices in the small jars and staples in the large jars. Lined my cupboards with steel plates and now each wall is a spice holder. I push the jars to the top and I can still store whatever was in the cupboard before.All the spices I need easy to find and organized. I like that the labels are included and they cover most spices.

I cannot begin to say how many people have complimented by spice jars. I love how all the colors of the spices in the jars create a beautiful display! I put the labels on the tops because I can tell what each spice is just by the color and consistency. It makes me appreciate the spices even more. The magnets are very strong and none have ever fallen off the side of my fridge. So far they’ve kept my spices tasting fresh. It’s so nice to not have a giant cluttered mess in my spice cabinet. I can actually use the space for other things now! The small ones are perfect for spices you don’t use too often or spices that require very little amounts.
Pros: High quality jars with a nice look to them. I appreciate the raised “GS” logo found on each. They definitely seem like they are durable and will be easy to cleanCons: Hexagonal jars (food safe) and cylindrical magnets can be purchased separately for a considerably smaller price and no adhesives are required as the magnet will stick to the lid on its own. Additionally, Gneiss Spice’s description for the “large” jars states that they fit “a heaping 1/2 cup.” This is the volume found in spice containers one typically purchases from the store. It’s not “heaping,” it’s the normal amount we’re all used to. I purchased some “small” jars from Gneiss Spice as well and they hold so little, I basically use 1/2 of of the jar every time I make a curry. It’s a bit ridiculous.
I've bought several sets of these jars after years of hemming and hawing and then making my own sorry failed attempts at magnetic spice jars to finally purchasing Gneiss's high quality jars. I put the labels on the jar tops vs on the glass to show the beauty of each spice and keep a key in a nearby cabinet for ease of finding less obvious spices. My small wish was that they had a custom label option as many of my spices are not in their standard very lengthy spice label list... but that's a small wish. I get so many rave reviews from friends and family visiting my home and my niece loves just playing with the jars and wondering what each spice is. Can I also say ho lovely working with all the employees--owner and other staff each time I purchase. Solid company that ... These jars are awesome. I'm pretty short in an apartment with taller cabinet and limited drawer space, so spices were always a chore to organized and retrieve. Gneiss has made my spices way more accessible, and I'm more likely to be creative with my meals when I can *see* my spices. I keep them on my fridge and they are practical as much as they are aesthetic! The magnets are VERY strong, so it can take a bit of pull to take them off the fridge (nothing major!) but it's good to know the jars are stuck on there tight and not going anywhere.
