Goal Zero Lighthouse Micro Charge USB Rechargeable Lantern
The Goal Zero Lighthouse Micro Charge offers an ingenious two-in-one combination of broad lantern illumination and narrow-focused flashlight beam, with a USB-rechargeable battery and USB-output that powers small electronics when you're off the grid. The lantern packs 150 lumens of broad lighting that's ideal for campsites and tents, while the flashlight offers 115 lumens of powerful illumination for finding your way through the dark. It's compatible with many of Goal Zero's Solar Panels and Battery Packs, fully charging from a standard USB port in 3. 5 hours. Plus, you'll find it charges off the popular Nomad 7 Solar Panel in as little as 7. 5 hours. The rechargeable battery also powers small electronics and portable devices with its USB output juicing a smartphone once or adding a bit of power to your tablet. Battery indicator LEDs give you an accurate assessment of the remaining power of the lantern, so you're never left in the dark.

Best small flashlight ever! Very versatile as a flashlight or lantern. And can be dimmed. Perfect size to hold in your hand. Small enough to fit comfortable in a pocket. Lots of run time from one charge. This is my second one. So lots of experience with it. Convinced several friends to buy one too. Everyone loves it.

I bought one of these at a local store while on a trip. I charges it up and without using it in 2 days it was dead. I thought maybe I had somehow had it turned on a low setting or something. After I got home I charged it again and made sure it was off. It went from full charge to dead in 2 days without being used. Flashlight is useless if it won't hold a charge for 2 days.

I bought several Lighthouse Micros and I use them every time I backpack or camp. They are excellent lights for outdoor recreation. They hold a charge forever! I have one in my fishing pack for an overnight survival situation. The light is more of a natural light and these micros are perfect to hang in a tent.

So far I'm very happy with this little thing. It replaced my older lantern which used batteries and was a bit larger. I love that I don't have to keep buying and replacing batteries. I use it mainly for car camping and I can charge it in the car with an adaptor (which I already had) directly in the cigarette lighter port. No cords. I've only used it one trip so far but after a few hours on the low setting it was still going strong. My only wish it that it had some kind of fold-out feet to keep it standing up on less-than-even surfaces. Otherwise, great!
I was looking for something like this that takes 18650 batteries, so that I can bring spares and exchange them with other devices. This says it does, and that might be technically true, but the lantern is completely sealed with no way to get at or replace the battery. So not only can you not bring spares to keep it going, but when the permanently installed battery dies in a few years, you have to throw out the whole product.Other lighting products I have either start out on their dimmest setting, or recall the last brightness setting that was used. This one always starts out on the brightest setting. Because there is a light in the top, and four that face outwards and down, there is no way you can hold it such that none of them are pointing at your eyes. So if you ... This is an addictive little flashlight! I had to stir and drown the campfire and this lantern lit up my entire campsite. I love that it's dimmable, and I like the broad field of light that it casts on the two lantern settings. It lights up the whole tent (if you want it to) and the flashlight has a strong beam. The included carabiner is a nice touch. The backup battery supply is so convenient. It's an amazing little multi function tool.
Powerful little light with long life rechargeable battery on board. Plan to use it inside our roof top tent this Summer. So far battery life is impressive on lowest settings. Doubles as a cellphone charger in a pinch.
It's not that often that you pick up a "Good Deal" at the store then find out that it will blow you away! I've had my Lighthouse Micro for over two years now and couldn't be happier. It produces as much light as a Colman white gas lantern while saving a huge amount of weight and room. It's been in temps from 20 degrees to over 100. Turned down with the dimmer it will provide camp light for a minimum of 4 nights. If you want a down side, I don't think of it that way, the Lighthouse does take a while to charge but that's what keeps it going! Be sure to have at least 4 hours to charge before use! The battery holds aprox. 4 times what it takes to charge an iphone 6.
I own three of these and I bought some as gifts. There are a few things that sets this lantern apart from others.a) This is all too rare, beleive it or not: the light diffusion is exceptionnaly even, and, it's on a 180 degrees downward by 360 degrees all around pattern; VERY practical.b) More than enough light to get around, especially if you have more than one, and hang them up in good spots. I use those tiny triangular spring-metal documents clips so that I can pinch these almost anywhere.c) The color of the light that it gives off is a pleasant, slightly yellowish tint.d) A lot of autonomy and, you can replenish the charge with even a smaller USB power bank when on the go (the light has a four LED battery gauge).e) I found that it's pretty small and ... I bought this to illuminate the inside of my tent. I like that it has a wire loop so I can hang it from the top of the tent. I used it as a flashlight one early morning. It performs adequately as a flashlight. As other reviewers have mentioned, the switch is not easy to find in the dark with only one hand. Also, I wish I had known the package comes with a carabiner so I didn't need to buy one. That's not mentioned anywhere on the package. You have to be careful when you turn this on so you don't blind yourself. I always managed to be looking in the wrong direction, partly because the switch isn't tactile.Overall I'm happy with this light. It performs well for the intended purpose
