This is my 3rd all-in-one power bank with a car booster. My first 2 were from Canadian Tire (non-lithium type) but those batteries only lasted a year before losing their charge. This booster is nice and compact and easy to move from one car to another. I like that the alligator clips are detachable. After boosting my car 3x, it still had a 75% charge. I also use this as a power bank when camping. This had 50% charge after charging another 10,000mah power bank for my heated jacket. I like that the lithium won't deplete as fast as a lead-acid battery in terms of holding a charge. This is pricey but it has saved me many times in the cold winters. Love this! Also the rubbery surface is great as a non-slip surface when placing on top of the engine during boosting.

Day 2 with this thing. 1st day, it was already showing a full charge. I put my phone on it and a small external battery to test out its 2 USB ports and within 5 minutes, it was out of battery!!!!!Then, today, I put it out smack under the Arizona sun and it overheated within minutes (shows all flashing lights and won’t charge). It’s been 4 hours since that and I’ve put it in a less hot area and it’s still showing 1 dot of charge.Not sure what happened to Goal Zero. Really love the durability and the backup capabilities. Only thing I would have wanted to see was magnetic charging built in like Magsafe built in. Wireless charging would have allowed for the waterproof rating and charging at the same time. Still a great product.

The 60w USB-C PD output charges my Lenovo ThinkPad. I can then top off the Venture using other USB-A banks with the cable from USB-A to USB-C. The only trick is how to maximize solar panels into the Venture through USB-C.

Honestly a little more power than you would need in a backcountry setting. The only time I've seriously used this camping is in conjunction with USB light bulbs for some serious coverage. I mostly find this useful for travel. the USB-C port is powerful enough to top off my Nintendo Switch which is handy charging it inside a hotel safe.
The charger is problem... I contacted REI.com and was basically blown off. The charger is not listed except on GoalZero's web site. I have a $30 gift certificate & a $120 paperweight that should charge in 1 1/2 hours. I would not purchase from REI or REI.com.
A bit diappointed. Older version came with cords that fit in slots and place to fit charger cord. Unclear when it’s charging and not. Not as good as the older model with exception that ports are covered.
Works great took it backpacking and car camping worked without issue. One issue, when charging my phone via usb-c, couldn’t charge my watch. However, when I charged both via usb, both charged quickly. From what I read looks like it maybe due to the output being maxed out while charging my phone via usb-c
I didn't realize this product its bigger then I thought, I was expecting a small handheld but it's like 2 of my older version power banks into one. haven't charged anything but having this product, living in remote community well definitely help while traveling for wildlife, keep my inreach charged. thank you for your business.
