As a longtime God of War fan, this meets every expectation I have, while still feeling new. Gameplay is linear, and it works. Feels slightly different from the previous GOW, while also feeling familiar. Challenging boses and enemies that require good timing with dodging and parrying, where you cannot get away with just button mashing. You need to adapt to each enemy. Timing your attacks and defense is key to success. Visuals are amazing and the story is engaging. Overall a very enjoyable game

I have had a pre-order on God Of War: Ragnarök since I was aware of it's release. From the moment I stepped into the world of Santa Monica Studios' masterpiece, I have never felt more immersed and stunned in almost every aspect I could think of. The game pulls you into this Norse Mythological World, with 9 different realms for players to explore and take in all that is to offer. These lands are so dense and rich with activities to partake in, and not once have I yet had a dull moment where there was nothing I wanted to do, or armour and weapon upgrades I wished to acquire. The game itself, like the previous title (God Of War 2018, which was also an exceptional game) Is surprisingly accurate to traditional Norse Mythology, and even traversing between realms ... MoreI have had a pre-order on God Of War: Ragnarök since I was aware of it's release. The character development over this series has come a long way, and I have grown an attachment to the main protagonists of the series (Kratos, and his son Atreus) through all the little details and lore pieces and conversing between one another. I highly suggest that If you have the money, and have been tossing up whether or not to pick up this title, go for it. I'm almost certain that any purchaser of God of War Ragnarök will fall in love with the game, and will struggle to put down the controller once they get into it.

I didn't think they could improve on the original game as I loved it so much, but Wow they really did, I've already completed the main story as I just couldn't stop playing it was such a beautiful and emotional journey, the character development was amazing. I can see myself playing for many hours just to find all the treasures.

Good, good, gosh darn good!!! I mark it down only because I found the combat system clunky, ineffective and slow. Seems like every other NPC is faster than you are and they are darn tough!!! Otherwise - well worth every minute of gameplay.
This game was absolutely amazing and completely outdid my expectations. I was already expecting it to be good but wow. There is no glitches, good graphics, good combat and a really good story.
I loved the 2018 GoW, easily my favorite game of that year. In my top 3 favourite games. This sequel is struggling to replace it's predecessor. It's story is pretty good, lots of fantastic plot twists and turns and the acting is top notch as you'd expect. However, there is a massive pacing issue in the middle of the game - you get to play as Atreus, and unfortunately you're stuck playing as him through a very long exposition dump, which literally has you waddling through swamps collecting fruit listening to exposition. This really made me want to put the game away - and I am not looking forward to it again when I play through on NG+. I'll definitely put a movie on in the background. Overall, I would say this is a great game and would recommend it, there are some ... MoreI loved the 2018 GoW, easily my favorite game of that year. In my top 3 favourite games. Overall, I would say this is a great game and would recommend it, there are some story issues I have with Kratos but that's just my preference on how I see the character. Big downside - the fur cloak in all the promotion artwork is not available in-game. (Yet).
This games is phenomenal. Everything I could’ve hoped for and more. Would highly recommend playing on No mercy difficulty, it’s tough and unforgiving but yet still fluid and Kratos feels stronger than ever.
The best sequel to an already astounding game. Gameplay mechanics are improved combat is more addicting than it's ever been. Narrative is superb absolutely amazing. Soundtrack is great. The graphics are phenomenal. No complaints would highly recommend
This is a great action adventure title. If you enjoyed the first game then you should find this a worthy sequel as it has a lot of similar gameplay, with some minor improvements and tweaks to the combat and other systems. The story continues from where the last one left off, with a recap for any newcomers also.
This game is a continuation of the story begun in God of War 2018. One of the features is the controls are the same as the previous game. Excellent game a show case for the PS5. A glass act in every sense of the word and worth every penny.
