I have owned a few light modifiers over the years, both cheap and relatively expensive. I have also experienced all sorts of problems with them; awkward to set-up, fiddly to mount, costly to add accessories, etc. This is not a cheaply made product. It is sturdy, well constructed, easy to assemble, and operates as expected. The softbox comes with a grid, two different reflectors, front diffuser, and a cary bag. I know of softboxes costing four times the price of this one that are no better made or any more efficient at doing the intended job. Great product Godox.

This comes in at such an amazing price point, assembles pretty fast, and fits directly onto my AD300 Pro with no adapters needed.In the future just to have a wider variety of modifiers I'll get the S-Bracket adapter for Bowen's but I don't have to anytime soon because this works just fine, saves time and produces great results.

Bought to accompany the ML60Bi, this Softbox is super simple to setup and breakdown. Has all the accessories you'd expect for this type of Softbox, just reduced in size. Special connection fits ML60Bi and other small format Godox mounts. B&H had the best price by far.

I bought this for my Godox ML-60Bi. To me it's a great balance between light softness and portability. I do a lot of on location interviews, and this is a great key light modifier. Love the zipper on the side, makes mounting this on the light super easy. No complaints here!
After recently getting the AD300 Pro (amazing sale price from B&H!), I decided to try out one of Godox native-mount modifiers. This was the least expensive one, and it filled the vacancy I had for a smaller, portable, easy-to-setup soft box primarily for outdoor use.This comes with everything I need (see description for full list), and I'm really impressed with how small this soft box closes up. Much smaller than similar Bowens mount modifiers I recently tried. Very good build quality and materials. Excellent quality of light / diffusion.This is an easy recommendation for the AD300 Pro. I'm definitely planning to pick up the AD-S85S soft box as well.
Lightweight, sturdy, easy to assemble, easy to attach. Comes with it's own carrying bag, plus reflectors and a grid (yes, all included in this ridiculously low priced light modifier). What more can you ask? I love it.
The mini Godox mount makes your pack lighter when you take advantage of it. I really hope Godox continues to develop this line of modifiers. I generally use this Softbox in double bounce diffusion mode; utilizing the included pseudo beauty dish reflector, the light bounces off of that, onto the full umbrella, and through the front diffusion panel. When I need more power, I can remove the diffusion or interior reflector.Attached to an AD300, this thing can pack, fully assembled (but umbrella retracted) into a stand back to be ready to go for a photoshoot. I keep mine fully assembled and in the carry case.
Incredibly light/packable. Easy to set up/store. Quality materials. Anyone with a Godox AD300 should have this modifier. Good for situations where you're moving around a lot.
There isn't anything wrong with this box per se. It is easy enough to use and the diffusers seem to work ok. It is also pretty well built if early indications hold up over time. The issue I have is the shape. I have used it a handful of times now and I just can't get it to cover the area I need it to cover easily. It is always leaving an edge and that is due to it's small size and odd shape. If I move it in to get a soft light the edge is generally pretty pronounced. If I move it back it can still leave an edge if I am not careful - but then the light becomes much more harsh. I'm using this on the Godox ML60. The 2 layers of diffusion make the light very nice and soft. What's great is I can mount it on the light, add both layers of diffusion, and then fold the whole thing up on a light stand and move it around for run and gun shooting. It's so light and compact.
