Amazing light, pretty much as simple as plug and play with Godox X-Pro trigger. They are quite heavy, which makes the stands top-heavy when in use. Much more so than with our previous lights ( which are no longer being manufactured). Weights and ties are going to have to be used more frequently than they were. But the lights are amazing. Solid flash cover, easy to put into modifiers without damaging little grips (those tiny metal things that grip the glass domes).

Great flash. The TTL is amazing and works very well the the Godox trigger. This flash is great outdoors and indoors. The power is great at over powering the sunlight in mid-day situations and balancing the light exposure on your subject in indoor situations. The Godox AD600Pro is very easy to use. The only drawback is it's a little heavy, but I don't mind that because it's a work horse and really serves the purpose I purchased it for.

I am a 32 year veteran of the commercial photography world, mainly shooting on location portraits and lifestyle work for corporations and agencies. I have been a happy Dynalite user since 1990.The Dynalites were becoming old, young assistants had no idea how to use them and they were becoming unreliable. Plus the weight of the cords and finding power outlets was becoming a drag. With some reluctance, I bought 3 AD600 Pros. They have exceeded by expectations in terms of light quality, ease of usage, quality of build and battery endurance.

I’ve been using these lights for just about a year now, and recently fully switched all of my lighting kit over to Strobepro gear. The batteries last for a long time, I haven’t had one die mid shoot. The lights themselves are really reliable and the Xpro commander unit is really intuitive to use. These lights save me a ton of time compared to my previous system, and are more convenient to pack around. I wasn’t too sure about the 9’ adjustable leg stands at first because I typically use fairly heavy-duty stands, but they’re honestly really good. The adjustable legs have come in handy in a number of different situations where I have to set up on uneven ground or where there’s a bit of an elevation change like the bottom of a set of stairs, or high curb. The adjustable legs have come in handy in a number of different situations where I have to set up on uneven ground or where there’s a bit of an elevation change like the bottom of a set of stairs, or high curb. With the legs fully extended, the base size of the stand is huge, which makes them way more stable when shooting outside with a modifier attached as well. This is a great kit if you’re looking for a reliable and easily portable 2-light setup. I’d recommend getting the 3-stand carry bag to go with it.
This light is pretty amazing. Pro: Syncs up to my XPro trigger with no difficulty. Pro: I set it to 1:1 and tested the flash. When it went off, I almost blinded myself. Pro: The battery seems to last a long time. Pro: The flash recharges super-fast. Con: If I had one complaint, it would be that it did not come with a carrying case. I'm not that concerned, though, because I got it during a great sale and will use the money I saved to get one and some of the other accessories that I'd like.
Used the strobe on an sunny outdoor shoot and it work great! I own the Godox AD600BM (non TTL) and this was a nice upgrade.Pro:The TTL feature is spot on. I used the strobe from 5 feet to 15 feet from my subject and it measured the light really well.Con:The recycle time is really good, but this strobe is not for shooting very fast action. Depending on the lighting condition you will have a couple of misfires.Recommendation:1. Get an extra battery. On a fully charge I went through the battery in about an hour and a half. Luckily, I was at the end of my photoshoot.2. Use with a c-stand or very sturdy stand. The strobe has a little weight to it, so you will need a good stand to hold it up.
This is my second light for my studio--and I'm fully expecting to buy 2 more! They are VERY portable and I love taking them on location for shoots. I find that the batteries normally have no problem lasting for the entirety of a 4 hour shoot (depending on number of shots and light intensity, of course).I do wish that the option to use a wired power connection was available by default on these, for those cases where the battery runs out so we can plug them into a wall. But they do sell adapters that give you that capability, but they're not cheap! And those adapters are like TWICE the size of a battery. So if your light is up high on your ceiling, the wired connection adapter might get in your way and interfere with your light placement (it's frustrated me more ... MoreThis is my second light for my studio--and I'm fully expecting to buy 2 more! They are VERY portable and I love taking them on location for shoots. I love it so much. I know that there's another lighting company who is considered to be THE industry standard for professional photographers, but Godox continues to innovate and provide an EXCELLENT lighting alternative for photographers.
I am moving over to Godox strobes from Alien Bees/Einstein studio products because of the Bowens mount (the mount for Einstein is HORRIBLE) and High Speed Sync capabilities.I was worried about this unit's ability to keep up with me shooting fast but it fired every time until about 2 hours into the shoot, then it started to miss one here or there until I gave it time to rest and fully recycle and then it was okay for a while longer.I shot for 3 hours at 1/32 power and never ran out of juice on the battery (in fact, I think it was still half full). Granted, that's not very high output, but it's about where I normally shoot, so I'm okay with that.It doesn't feel cheap at all and really feels like a serious pro photography tool. It's probably too heavy to be hauling around out in the field for long periods of time, but sturdy enough that I can attach my 4' softbox without worrying about breaking it.If you need more of an endorsement than that, how about this: I'm planning on buying 2 more of these for my studio. Yeah...they're that good.
I arrived to a commercial shoot today, after thinking I charged the battery the night before-- and it wouldn't turn on. After 10 minutes of fiddling and people staring at me... I'm sweating bullets. No problem! I'm prepared! I brought an extension cord just in case... I thought to myself. FAIL. The unit WILL NOT WORK unless you have a charged battery attached. Bring other options if you plan to use this for a shoot. Luckily I had a backup AD400-- which WILL work plugged in. I wouldn't have purchased this had I known the unit will not work plugged in. DON'T DO IT!! The stress is not worth it!
My work is primarily real estate photo, video, and associated services. This unit is our third Godox/Flashpoint 600Pro. These are used hand held controlled by a Flashpoint R2 Pro on camera (Nikon Z bodies). Duty cycle is hundreds of pops daily three days a week. We are careful but they are handled on job site through homes and buildings all day. They have been reliable though we have had display and main board replacements. Battery life is excellent. I can't give a count because we carry extra batteries and replace them at 1/3 power. Thousands, I don't know, but hundreds for sure. Color is good but not exact. One of our units is a little red. We are looking very closely and running fast through hundreds of photos. We would not spend the level of power competitive ... MoreMy work is primarily real estate photo, video, and associated services. This unit is our third Godox/Flashpoint 600Pro. On the Nikon Z's we routinely sync at a 600th of a second perfectly. I cannot comment on recycle, our work does not require that. However, at full power pops it seems to be ready instantly. This is another piece of equipment which may or may not be needed for all practices. But if it fits your work flow; $750, 600 watt-second, no cords, carrying it around on job sites, it's unbeatable value.
