I purchased this be able to manage glare when photographing a series of photo albums with acetate overlays. To that end, it works fantastic. I am able to dial in a manual WB and set the camera accordingly. The remote is a bonus I was not expecting to use, but since its available, so much easier to adjust and power off the system with it. The light panel itself is well made and fairly sturdy. The mount is the weak link. It uses a proprietary mount point with a hard-to-adjust swivel and an extended neck for mounting on a standard light stand. I would have preferred an option to use a 1/4-20 screw mount. Oddly the unit does have four 1/4-20 mounts - one at each corner, but I have not seen references on any accessories to mount here. I gave 4/5 only because of build quality. Build quality is good but not exceptional. The light quality from these lights is exceptional though and I no longer have to use bulky soft box lights. Being able to group multiple lights and control with a single remote is great! Dimming and color temperature adjustment works flawlessly. I use an AC adapter but being able to power via optional batteries is a nice touch. I have no complaints so far and these have been a major upgrade for me!

My biggest issue is that it makes constant plastic popping noises when on. It's not like it quits when it's been on for a minute and comes up to temperature. It even continues for a very long time after you turn it off. It never stops making sharp noises as it's flexing and popping and creaking and it can pollute your audio, especially if it's close to your talent, which it needs to be because it's not very bright. It doesn't have enough power for use as a fill light in fairly typical indoor natural light settings, like I need for low key vlogging style video. Forget about it if you want a key light. I don't hate it but I wouldn't buy it again and I rarely use it these days. On paper I like this light, but in reality it's very disappointing.

Great light panel on a budget
5 November 2020

A friend of mine, a professional photographer, lend me this Godox LEDP260C and I was very pleased to see how good and versatile is this product. So I decided to buy two because the price is very attractive. The LED panel provides a nice and natural diffusion of light. You can set both illumination intensity and warmth separately and store it on presets memory.I'm not a pro photographer or video maker but with this LED panel I was able to achieve professional results for my music videos.Highly recommended!

Great value, color & output. Just bought my second!
26 January 2019

Im a photographer interested in trying out video, so even without many useful reviews, I took a chance on this light. I have some faith in Godox products and it didnt disappoint. The build quality isnt bullet proof, but good enough for my purposes. Its not heavy at all without batteries, so the only significant weight comes from adding them, but of course they add a lot of convenience and mobility to the package. The color and output are great and I actually enjoy using it for photos as well as video. In my musician portrait, the panel provided enough light from almost six feet away to hand-hold an exposure of 1/125, f/1.8, ISO 800 with a 50mm lens. Some ambient light was also present, but the point was to add directional light to my subject and the panel did it ... MoreIm a photographer interested in trying out video, so even without many useful reviews, I took a chance on this light. It also doesnt hurt that the light quality is quite good for people without any modification. I just ordered my second one.

Mostly Satisfied

I use this light primarily for corporate videography. The light quality is satisfactory. The build quality is also satisfactory, although not as ideally robust as some professionals may be accustomed to. I have discovered one unexpected quirk, which significantly limits my overall opinion of this light. The two battery mounts are not hot swappable. To run on battery power, the light requires two batteries to be mounted. Moreover, it only uses one of the batteries and stops working when that battery is dead. This leaves you with one dead battery, one fully charged battery, and a light that doesn't work. With two Dracast NP-F 6600mAh batteries I got less than 3 hours of continuous runtime at max output. Of course, only one of those batteries needed to be recharged. ... MoreI use this light primarily for corporate videography. The light quality is satisfactory. It's not a deal breaker, but a reasonable person might expect this light to be capable of using the full capacity of both batteries. All in all, not a bad bit of kit for the price.

Not as good as similar panels
6 December 2022

This light panel appears very similar in the photos to the other Godox panels that are within a similar price range ($150). Unless you really need something cheap, go for the Godox ES45 instead. This LEDP260C is lower quality plastic and the light is less diffused, it also is not very bright at all and annoyingly starts at 100% brightness every time you turn it on, while others will remember their previous settings. The Godox ES45 by contrast is a nice aluminum construction with removable controls and is way brighter with more granular brightness controls. The CRI is not that great on this one either.

Plenty of Light
11 December 2022

I'm using this as my main or key light for recording videos. I love that it doesn't require a PC connection to adjust settings; the dial and buttons on back do exactly what I need. At only 15% power, it's plenty bright enough at a distance of about three feet (elevated slightly above my eye-line so it doesn't blind me).I also love that it came with a power adapter so I can plug it into an outlet and not have to worry about batteries being low when I'm ready to record.

Super flexible, easy to use, and nicely made
8 January 2021

Using this as primary light panel for live streaming and video, and it works great. Light adjustments in terms of spectrum and brightness are super flexible and easy to use, and interface is set up for using multiple panels in individual 'channels' which can be controlled from the remote control (included) for adjustments without altering staging, and being able to view monitor in real time. Also a very long power cord so no need for extension cords. High quality construction and weight. Will be buying additional panels.

Works well, although dimmest settings may be too bright
29 August 2021

I use this for adding fill light during work-from-home video calls. I have a large window behind me in my office and I would otherwise appear a silhouette on camera. I like that I can vary the color temperature to compensate for the ambient light in my office. It works really well on really bright days, although I generally need to keep it on the dimmest setting to have just enough fill light to help my laptop camera get a well-exposed image of me against the bright background (I have the panel about 1m away from me). But on cloudy days, the panel is too bright even on the dimmest setting, which makes my skin appear overexposed compared to the rest of the image.I would still recommend it. The remote is very handy. I have my panel mounted on a light stand behind my computer monitors, and I can turn it on and off with the remote, adjust the color temperature, intensity, etc. If I had another few feet of distance behind my monitors, I could move it further back and deal with the fairly intense/bright light. For my close-proximity situation, it works well enough on most (bright) days that I'm generally happy.
