Its more difficult to set up then desired. Wish the bottom of the lantern was attached to the bottom. Getting it to be centered can take several attempts.

apparently, all Bowen mounts are not standardized. The mount collar is too shallow to engage the mount on the apature. All of my previous Bowen mount accessories, by various manufactures, work fine.

Great for large (unfocused) soft light. The setup can be a bit tricky the first time you do it since you have to get the flexible interior poles all oriented correctly, but once you get the hang of it, it's a great and quick system. Very reasonable price for high quality

Quick and easy to set up and take down. With easy carry bag. Gives a nice soft light with less shadows. Worked well for my baby shoot.
I really wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this. I bought this to use with my Aputure 120DIIs and, like many others have apparently found, the collar is too shallow to lock into the mount on the lights. I found a somewhat janky solution though by using a hacksaw to cut the teeth on the collar. It now fits into the mount BUT I cut the teeth down too far and now they can clear the locking pin with minimal force. Oh well. Other than the fact that it doesn't really fit, it's a nice softbox lantern. Good build quality and it does a good job of spreading and softening light.
So far I like it. Given another chance I would of bought the size 1 smaller. Give off good light but am using it for large room on Real Estate shoots and it is a little much on the end of a 600 handheld strobe. Well built and easy to set up.
I bought one of these and was surprised by the overall softness it created. Using it in a white drywall room basically created a gigantic softbox with light being pushed to too all walls in all directions. Almost no shadow at all and what little shadow there is, is very soft.I'm impressed, and bought a second one.If you want to softly light a large area, this is great! Certainly not for controlled or pointed light though.Quality of build is good as well. Seems well made.
Use this attachment almost daily with my UL150, easiest setup, and teardown. Supersoft lighting and allows me to light 2 subjects easily.
Easy to expand and collapse. I like that you can buy the optional skirt to control spread. It spreads light evenly otherwise. It's light so you can attach it to the end of a boom. The Bowens mount is a plus. The build quality is good. It doesn't have a reflector/diffusion disc inside. I haven't needed one. All around, you get great shift lighting for ambience. I highly recommend this.
Very useful as a main source of soft light for 2 person interviews or lighting up a room. Build is sturdy. I like the locking mechanism. Easy to setup and tear down. Comes with a convenient carrying bag.Would've been 5 stars if it wasn't for the rods having to be adjusted to line up with the grooves. Not a deal breaker by any means. I would definitely recommend it.
