Godox P120L Bowens Mount Parabolic Softbox

I have been using a smaller soft box on talent, but never quite got the level of diffusion I wanted. Especially more mature women with less smooth skin. Then a film crew came in and filmed some people using this soft box and I was surprised that this slightly bigger diffuser made so much difference. Even thought it was just 1 step up, the end product was 1000X better. 5 out of 5 and not a lot of money to make things look amazing

Let's face it, only Briese, Broncolor and Parabolix make genuine parabolic softbox and the parabolic effect is only achieved with a focus / defocus light system.This softbox is large and light and produces flattering light. The nice and very practical detail about this modifier is its inner diffuser which has a thicker round plate in the middle which neutralises any hotspots thus balancing the light. The only minus is the connection from the 16 fibreglass rods to the circular bowens type connector. Indeed, a simple color marker between 4 rods (cross connectors) and the plate holes would have greatly helped when setting up the modifier. This is a very cheap solution which surprisingly is present on the P90L version.

I used to use a great modifier 2 of them made by Photoflex. I still think they are one of the best, but at half the price, and no busted knuckle break down and setup is almost to easy. This is my new choice. The light is amazing, good build quality, Lightweight, I will be getting both sizes of this version soon.
