I bought this in September of last year and have barely used it on exactly one event. Over a 5-hour period, it completely drained my two AA batteries and proceeded not to work afterward a few weeks later. I've been really disappointed by the quality of this product and I'm trying to email Godox for a replacement but I've heard their customer support is really bad and the company is based abroad outside of the U.S. so you have to ship your equipment to them for repairs. This just might end up being a $75 loss for me down the drain. Don't buy this and go for something more expensive and higher quality because you will save more money in the long run.

Good bang for the buck!
10 January 2023

I mainly use a flash for fill light when photographing people and pets but this little unit is so easy to work with that I am reaching for it more often than I thought would. My only complaint is that the plastic on the foot is a few thousands to thick which makes it hard to slid it in and out of the camera shoe. I do not suggest that you do this but I carefully remove a little bit of plastic and now I can slide it in and out without fear of breaking the foot.

Great Little Flash!
30 September 2021

I have a Sony A7ii which has great low light capabilities so I rarely have the need for flash. But I decided to buy the Godox flash system and bought the V860ii-s, TT685-s, MS300 and this TT350-s.I mostly shoot products, so I wanted TTL capability. The TT350s was mainly for candid people/event but could also be part of my studio kit.Haven't used this much but it seems to be just what I need when I need it.

Everything good about this flash has been said in the other reviews. However there's seems to be a few complaining about poor battery life. That hasn't been my experience.I own two of these little flashes and one 685 and a can get at least 200-300 shots at 1/8-1/16 from the 350s.I do use high capacity 2550 mAh Ni-MH batteries though.

Lacks video light
30 December 2018

There is a simple change that that Godox could easily make to this product that would increase its usability: add a mode for video light. This improvement need not involve any changes to the physical design or manufacturing process, and thus would be almost costless to Godox; it could be implemented by simply allowing the AF illuminator light to be to be always on, and thus do double duty as a video light also. The following covers points not adequately explained in the owners manual:It seems that the auto zoom setting on the flash compensates for sensor size and is not based solely on the lens focal length. (At least, with the Sony Cybershot HX400V camera; didn’t check A6000, with APS-C sensor). The WL (wireless) mode on the camera body does not seem to have any effect on the flash operation in any sync setting; it must only be needed for optical wireless. The total flash compensation is the sum of that set on the camera body plus the amount set in the flash.Seems that white balance setting in camera changes from that appropriate to ambient light to that appropriate to flash when flash is used. The owners manual does not explain how to use the group function of the flash. After assigning each flash to a slave group, do not set the TTL function or the manual power level you expect to use on the slave flash. Dial up that group on the master flash and then set TTL or the manual power level for all the flashes in the slave group from the master. The master setting for the group will override any power level set on individual slave flashes.Although the owners manual says (on page 9) it is possible, you cannot directly set TTL power ratios for the flash groups with the Godox. But this is a premium feature and no one should expect to see it included at this ridiculously low price point. But you can do this manually by setting a different power level for the flashes in a group. Do test exposures and adjust the power level for each group by the SAME factor until the subject is properly illuminated in the desired ratio. Another way to work around not having true TTL ratio control is to use the TTL mode on two groups, then dial in a positive expose compensation on one group and an equal negative exposure compensation on the other group. The overall exposure is the same, but the positive and negative exposure compensation gives a different exposure ratio from the two groups. For example, if Group A gets +1 and Group B gets -1, A gives two stops, or 4 times, more exposure than B. The A to B ratio is then 4:1.Metz is introducing a stripped down, de-featured version of this flash as the M360. So now Germany is using Chinese suppliers. A complement to Chinese ingenuity in flash design. The Godox manual does not give the guide number for any zoom setting except 105mm. To find that information, look at the manual for the Metz M360; they are the same. But no 5 stars yet until the product’s innate video light capability is released in a Mark II version.

My go-to flash! Love the size and the capability!
21 September 2017

I've been using this Godox flash for just under a week now and I really love it. If you want the quick version of this review, go buy it. A+ Long version: This was my first foray into the Godox system. In the past I've used Yongnuo, Neewer, and formerly Canon 580 and 420 series (I used to shoot with the 5D3 and 1D series). The two former were manual setups, but worked reasonably well when I needed it (with the hassles of manual setup). The canon worked well, but I'm primarily in the Sony system now... When I heard about the TT350S, I knew this was for me because of the size and the capability! Size: When I put this up against the Neewer TT560, I have to say it's night and day. The TT560 is about 60% heavier (Batteries installed, weighing in at 9oz for the Godox and 15oz for the Neewer). On my Sony A6300 the Godox feels balanced, and just right. I've used the flash both indoors and outdoors and it's plenty powerful to light up my subjects and the TTL metering seems to do a great job. Cycle time seems very reasonable for a two AA battery flash (much quicker than I thought it could). Accessories: Mine came with the bottom stand, a stofen like omnibouncer, carrying case, a bunch of gels and a gel holder kit. I haven't used the gels yet, but the velcro system to hold the gels looks like it'll do the job just fine. The omni bounce works great, and love the color I get out of the photos. Usage: I've used it in both TTL and manual, and it works great. The menus are SUPER easy to navigate. I tried FEC (flash exposure compensation) settings on the camera and they work perfectly with the TTL. High speed sync works great too. I haven't tried to pair this up with the Godox transmitter yet as I don't own one yet, but will try soon as it seems like a great system to invest the money in. Very impressed with the setup and really happy with my purchase. I will probably buy a second to work as a TTL slave. Easy A+!

This is my first off camera flash and couldnt be happier. Flash was delivered quickly and with free shipping to boost. It fits my a6000 very nicely, since it uses 2 AA batteries, it is not very heavy and the camera feels quite balanced. You can see the from the attached pictures of the TT350S with my a6000 and SEL35F18. I cant imagine using a larger flash on this camera, as it would just seem too big. The flash is quite powerful indoors and outdoors in shaded areas, however it is not powerful enough to overpower the sun at noon, for that, you will need a much more powerful flash/strobe. This flash works well in the evening, and is much more powerful that the on-camera flash (maybe 2-3x?). I have used the flash in manual mode, however it takes some time to get used to it as it is very powerful. It is best to start off at 1/2 power and then work from that, if used at full power you will have to wait like 2 seconds for the flash to recharge and you may temporarily blind your subject. Or else you can simply use it in TTL mode and it will adjust the power automatically for you! I have tried the flash with my friends X1T-S TTL trigger and it is really awesome. I have taken pictures at full speed on the a6000 (1/4000) and the flash works great, both in TTL and manual mode. It takessome patience to set it up the first time, but the key is ensuring they are both on the same channel. In the flash manual mode, you change the settings on the transmitter and it reflects the changes on the TT350S immediately. I am happy that I now have a Godox flash and is compatible with other units and triggers and I can slowly expand my system as needed. The flash itself includes a built in white bounce card that hides within the flash as well as a flip down diffuser which is really neat. The bonus gels included from this seller are great, however I havent tried them out yet. I look forward to specially using the orange/gold colored ones, as I have used bounce cards with the on camera flash for baby pictures and really like the artificial sunlight effect.

Perfect complement to my Sony mirrorless

The small size pairs well with the compact dimensions of my Sony A7R III. I dont use flash very often but I do need it occasionally for fill-in flash when taking portraits outdoors. So I needed a unit with reasonable but not excessive power, high-speed sync, simple controls that I wouldnt have to re-learn every time I use it, and a compact size that fits in my bag.
