Goldair GCT330 2400W Ceramic Tower Heater

It took a while to get the base together as I didn't want to break the inserts however a friend pushed it into place and I attached. It also took a little mucking around to connect the app to my mobile but it now works well. The plastics smell a lot and it needs to air out on opening. The only issue I have is the fan does not adjust (that I know of). It beats the room up really quickly though so overall worth the purchase.

Amazing heater BUT useless thermostat

Amazing heat, great fan BUT the thermostat let's this otherwise standout heater fall flat.This heater is either on or off, the thermostat is utterly useless. The thermostat reduces heat from high to low when it's 4C below your set temperature, so it never reaches temp and never turns off. And.. if you thought you could get away with setting it lower, it keeps operating 4C above your set temp and if you do get it to turn off the remaining heat inside the unit sends the stupidly placed thermostat rising for the next hour before it drops again and by that time your room is a freezer. Pretty sure goldair never user tested this heater before selling it

Fantastic heater, especially for the price.

Fantastic heater, bought on special at $150.I love the ability to set an on/off timer through the app or the remote. I don't know why people have said it's noisy or difficult to assemble as it took me 2 minutes to assemble the base and put it together.I have it on in front of me with tv on and have no issues with the noise. (It's a grunty heater for it's size so you would expect to be able to hear the fan).Also it most certainly has a thermostat to keep the room at a set temperature, so I'm also not sure why others have said it doesn't. A very happy, toasty warm customer.

Good unit - value for money

Good unit. Also got it on sale so happy with the price. The base is really difficult/clunky to click together, I was being so rough that I was worried I’d break it - I searched the net hoping to find the “trick” to put it together and even called the manufacturer (who said to take it back to the shop!). After about 30-40 mins I finally got it and it all works fine. It’s not been very cold yet so can’t make comment on effectiveness.

Its the little things that let this heater down

On paper, this is a great heater. Smart technology and a cermic tower. In reality, there are a number of things that should be improved to make this heater great:Wifi: When using the goldair app, my entire home wifi connection slows down. Too much to be able to make conference calls or stream shows, so i do not use the smart functionality at all.Control panel: The lcd panel and leds are extremely bright at night, however you can't read what any of the buttons do, because the light from the LDC panel is dominating. Because I am not using wifi, an LED strobes constantly. This took a while to figure out.Base: It would be nice if the base was more solid, it is a bit wobbly. The power cord should come out of the base, not the actual heater. This would prevent the power cord from moving around when the heater swivels.The heater works well at warming the room, and with my 'hacks' it is acceptable at regulating heat overnight. If the changes suggested were made, it would be a solid 5-star heater.

Let Down by Mediocre Quality

First, a caveat; this unit was purchased online without having actually seen one.If I'd seen one would I have bought it?Probably not.Yes, it is a heater and it works as a heater but I wouldn't say it was a 'quality product'. It arrived scratched and with the front cover misshapen so that it fit's poorly with the unit's body. For the price combined with competing products I'd say it's a poor effort.

Noisey Heat

The heater serves its purpose warming up the hallway and bedrooms. The downside though is that it's very noisey. Especially the first minute when it seems like a lot of effort to get going. It's not as bad being away down the hallway where the noise is bearable but not sure I want to put up with something so loud all winter or whether I'll return it. For the price of it I was expecting something of alot better quality

Olaf the Heater

It works well and quickly heats up a small to medium sized room. The Ai thermostat control is handy as it maintains the room at a set temp (usually a few degrees higher than the set temp). Google / Amazon connectivity is handy esp at night.A few draw backs - the fan is noisy. The swing function is only about 20-25deg and could be wider hence it looses a star.

Poor Product - Ceramic Heater

The heater did not meet my expectations. The design was nice but it doesn’t really heat up the room because it’s only the center that is heating up and the upper/lower part is emitting cold air. I’m very disappointed with this purchase. It’s expensive and also noisy. I feel like returning it and just get the cheaper but quality heater.

Tower Heater

Heats room very quickly. Only downside - blue wi fi light flashes constantly, therefore the heater must be turned off at the wall at night, if being used in a bedroom. Tech Support suggestion to cover the light does not work. Recommend product for fast, efficient heat.
