Absolutely the BEST burgundy hair dye I've ever used!
I've been dying my hair various shades of red since I was 14. I've tried countless different brands over the years, and nothing I've used can compare to the quality of this product! The dye itself is quite thick, smells amazing, and has an excellent color result. I applied this product to, basically, platinum blonde hair. (also used GDYs lightning kit) It's been two months already and I STILL have color in my hair! Every other product I've tried either reaks of ammonia, or fades very fast. Of course, if you wash EVERYDAY with shampoo that's not color safe, it'll fade fairly quickly. The results of this dye always completely covers ALL of my hair, no patchiness! (I have very long, thick hair.) I will have to say, the only downfall of this product is that it will ... MoreI've been dying my hair various shades of red since I was 14. (I have very long, thick hair.) I will have to say, the only downfall of this product is that it will stain EVERYTHING if you are not careful. It stained the floor of my shower. It will stain your towels/clothes while wet 🤣 So if that bothers you, take precautions. It's part of having cool hair. It'll eventually come off! It doesn't really stain my skin, though! If I do get it on my skin, it usually completely comes off in the shower, or two-three days. The bleeding of this hair dye while washing is pretty intense and will stain my hands & shower just from washing it out. But like I said, it'll come off fairly quickly. So keep that in mind too! Overall 11/10! The fact that it's all vegan, cruelty free, and has no harsh chemicals just makes it even better! It really leaves my hair looking silky, soft, and healthy! Thank you GoodDYEyoung for making such great hair products! ♥️... Show more

Beautiful Color and Repaired my hair <3
This was my first time using Good Dye Young. I usually use Arctic Fox but after a few (many) bad experiences with them I finally decided to see if these were as good as they said they were and...ITS EVEN BETTER. I mixed together All In This Together and Live Laugh Love, and am obsessed with the results. The color is amazing and even though I slightly damaged my hair when bleaching the dye was so gentle, repairing, conditioning, etc that you can't even tell now!! I'm never going to us any other dye again! This was my first time using Good Dye Young. Best Dark Red
I normally use arctic fox because it makes my hair feel great and I love the scent. I wasn’t able to get the deeper red shade that I wanted so I started looking around at different brands. I decided to try All In This Together and it was perfect. I put it over bleach washed hair that was more of a light brown than blonde. Normally the mid to ends of my hair would be a completely different color than the top within a few weeks. It has been a few months since I dyed my hair and it has definitely faded but it is even from top to bottom. I’m not a huge fan of the scent but it’s not bad. The only thing that sucks is that this stains skin worse than arctic fox and it will stain for several washes anytime wet hair touches your skin. Definitely do what you can to minimize ... I can’t speak on any of the other colors but this is by far my favorite red out of many both permanent and semi permanent.... Show more

Five stars from me, two stars from my bathtub.
I dyed my hair a really deep, vibrant blood orange with this. The consistency is a little weird, but I like it. I prefer semi-permanent because I have commitment issues, so this stays really bright for about two weeks before it starts to fade.Wanna know what doesn't have commitment issues? This dye and its relationship to my bathtub. I've scrubbed, bleached, soaked, and scrapped the bright orange stains in my bathtub with enough elbow grease to skin a horse. I bought Pink Stuff cleaner, convinced that this magical internet paste would rid my poor tub of its traffic-cone orange spots, but to no avail. Will I get my security deposit back? Probably not. Do I care? Not really. Much like Hayley, I am also the lead vocalist in my own band, and I can only pray my band has ... MoreI dyed my hair a really deep, vibrant blood orange with this. IM BLUE BADOOBEEBADOOBA
Look, I know hair colour is heavily impacted by what's already been there before. I've gone from red, to blonde, to ginger, to pink, to purple, and now I wanted green. My base was bleached blonde at the roots, then ashy on the ends (where the purple turned grey). I didn't expect much, I couldn't be asked to bleach everything into one colour, so I went for it.It was easy to apply, didn't go everywhere, was super easy to wash off wherever it landed, and the original colour was a beautiful green. But then I decided to have a shower the next day. I DIDN'T EVEN WASH MY HAIR, just wet it, and I'm blue. I wouldn't complain that I'm blue if it was like, a green blue, but no, I'm baby blue, sonic blue, Gatorade blue, avatar blue, smurf blue. The dye itself was delivered ... No. Unless you want to dye your hair blue in the most complicated way possible.... Show more

Love this shade, but results are bizarrely patchy. I will not be buying this again
This is my first time using GDY after routinely dyeing my hair pink with other brands for over a decade. I heard that this dye is difficult to fade out and doesn't budge. Welllllllll I have very curly hair, typically only do a cowash to high sweat spots on my hair once every 3 days, I don't use anything harsh that strips color etc (I have been doing this for 10 years, I know the drill!) and put this on allover bleached hair. Immediately the results were weird and patchy but I assumed I had missed spots while applying and did a second round of pink to cover them, which appeared to help. Around 3 days later I started developing a huge faded spot just on the right side of my head, on old not recently bleached hair that is lifted to a Level 9, that was becoming a pale ... My bangs (where I cowash the most) and the same area on the right side of my head (a spot I don't ever touch with shampoo) are still bright pink.1 I'm a busy person so I didn't have time to try and touch it up and now 10 days later that spot is back fully to Level 9 blonde. The right side of my head is still pink.I don't have any explanation for this because I've never had something this bizarre happen before while dyeing--but this brand is crazy expensive and I did not expect results to be this underwhelming. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or my box was expired or what, or if this brand is just overhyped by Paramore stans but I will not be purchasing this again.... Show more

so pretty and nice!
I’ve been wanting to dye my hair again for awhile, and wanted to use another colour from GDY.I have medium dark brown hair, a little on the darker side but not too much where its like black by any means. I didn’t want to bleach my hair so I wanted to chose a colour that would still show up on my hair. That I could at-least get a tint or something like it being visible in sunlight, since my hair gets light brown when I step out into the sun. I used “Rock Lobster” at first thinking it would show up on my hair but it didn’t do much. I returned it and got this colour instead. I wanted more of a tint, and darker hue on my hair. I did some test strands on my hair with this colour and it turned out beautifully! Its visible enough on my hair even without stepping into the ... Again I have dark brown hair, and this colour went on SO well! No bleach needed at all. It transferred the colour on really good.My only concern is that it seems to bleed a lot? Other than that it turned out so pretty! Would definitely buy again. If you have medium dark brown hair this colour seems to work well on it! Plus it smells nice.... Show more

Terrible Marketing.
I have read that you guys have changed the box. I would like to say that you have marketed it terribly the first time. I must have gotten an old one. My hair is darker, sure, but it is NOWHERE NEAR black. The original box says "semi-permanent color" and NOWHERE in the directions it is mentioned that it is supposed to be mixed with anything else. What a waste of money and time. Now I have to go through the hassle of stripping this god awful muddy grey out of my hair, which will cost me more time and money, on top of the damage it will do. It also stains your shower HORRIBLY. It stuck MUCH better to my tub than my hair. Shame on you for putting this product out in such a misleading way. This is the worst experience I have had with hair dye in my life, and I have been doing a full head of color for over 4 years. Shame on this company. Never again. I would love to get my money back, but I highly doubt you guys would even bother.... Show more

The camera loves it. Reality is not so kind.
The color is bright and vibrant through the camera lens. In person however, it looks closer to the signature creamy french dressing color rocked by Lois Griffin on Family Guy. I was really hoping for the deep orange advertised or at the very least an actual copper tone. The advertized color is visibly achievable but only when photographed. I applied to almost white (as 10 lightened as you can get) hair, let sit longer then recommend, and rinsed cold. Super underwhelmed with the color, especially considering it was almost twice the price of every other semi-perm color I have ever used. No experience with any other color offered by this company. Love the chemical make up of the product and the smell is very nice. Toxicity on the other hand, was a toxic failure. I do ... MoreThe color is bright and vibrant through the camera lens. Would recommend!
I've been dyeing my hair with vivid colors for a few years now and don't stick to one brand over another as I like to try new things. My experience this time with GDY was great! I bought Blue Rain and mixed it with a neon green semi-perm dye I bought previously because I wanted more of a turquoise color instead of straight blue. While the blue came out of the tube very dark, once I applied everything, let it process, and then rinsed the excess off, it was very bright and vibrant. The color payoff is beautiful and it was easy to mix from the tube (which is quite large btw). The only thing I would recommend, is covering your bathroom sinks or ledges before starting. I always wear gloves but even the dye on my gloves that smudged on my bathroom counter stained ... I try to keep things clean as I go and wipe smudges away as soon as I notice them but the stained was immediate. Got them off with a bit of buffing and a magic eraser, but just be aware. Otherwise, give it a try! Ms. Williams has my vote with this hair dye line 😁... Show more
