Google Nest Cam Outdoor with Floodlight

and with the new Google Home (currently previewing features) they are a great upgrade from Ring and having everything in the same Home App Ecosystem is very helpful. Stylish and easy to install. Quick delivery.

Having setup a google home network with smart lights chromecasts and everything google this expensive camera DOESNT cast to TV's in the house. Something you'd assume would be a standard feature from Google for Google devices....My cheap pan and tilt TPLink does at less than half the price (and it pans and tilts)

Excellent camera

Easy to install and excellent video quality. The facial recognition feature is a nice touch and Is free unlike with other camera brands. You can also tell it to ignore animals and cars (as we live right next to a busy road) and adjust the flood light brightness. A bit more expensive that other cameras but worth the extra $$

Expensive but great to have in the Google Nest ecosystem

I purchased this as I already have a Nest Aware subscription with multiple Google displays and a Nest doorbell ect.Yes its expensive but online video reviewers indicate this is one of the brighter floodlights with good video quality.I am very happy with my purchase too. Great adjustability of settings in the app but sadly no brightness scheduling.There are better value floodlight and camera packages out there so consider those if you are just starting your smart security adventure.

Fantastic

We have other Google nest cameras but this flood light / camera is brilliant and a great compliment to our home security system.I love- the ability to adjust the brightness with ease- the option to spin the camera view 180degrees on the app - the crop clear video- the clear microphone and speaker functionalityAll round excellent product.

Great Camera/Flood Light

Works great. It's very nice to have notifications when packages are delivered or neighbor is just stopping by. The flood light is incredibly bright too, and lights up the whole yard.

Great product. Easy to install. Can see what’s happening at home. Integrates well with google home

Not as good as Ring

Disappointed. Not as good as Ring. it will only announce visitors who push the button. Google (battery) doorbell doesn’t work chimes! We have people coming and going all day as my wife is disabled and bed ridden. They never push the button. They just come in. Front door has to be unlocked. Google doorbell only gives a phone notification, so if you’re not carrying your phone around the house 24/7, you don’t know somebody has passed through the front gate. Useless at our place! Google doorbell is NOT as good as Ring device which gives an audible tone, via the chimes, when somebody triggers motion at the front gate. I wish I hadn’t changed!

Quality Light, Camera System & Easy Set Up

Light is on point with timing, bright enough to light a large area and the camera is just as quality as all nest cameras. No connection issues, super simple set up and the picture clarity is awesome. Feel much safer parking my car in the port as well as going out or moving around outside of a night

WiFi connection issues - try disabling Wifi 6

Generally happy with product now but had major issues setting it up - mainly because when I got to the stage in the setup process where it said it was looking for my Wifi connection I could never connect (spinning circle for 2mins and timeout). I asked NL for tech help but they said they couldn't help due to it being a Google "security" cam and gave me the no. of a USA help desk, which I didn't think was helpful. After I called again and said could they at least tell me how to reset the device. This time, the tech was helpful and at least sent me some passages from a manual dealing with resetting Google Nest Cam with Floodlight, which I appreciated. I also noticed the device was only getting 19Mbps. After Googling the Nest forum I stumbled on a brief comment from someone which intrigued me, and gave it a try. It worked and has been working without problems for a solid week so far (fingers crossed!), and the speed has increased and now matches both the Google Doorbell and Google Nest Hub I previously installed. I have a new Asus AX88U which has wiFi 6. The "fix" me for me was to DISABLE Wifi 6. My hope is to save someone else countless hours of frustration if they have any similar issues and (router) equipment.
