This is (probably) the best Android experience you can get. The phone snappy and its memory management is very good. Not to mention that its constantly updated by Google means that this 3yr old phone still feels new. The phone feels amazing in the hand but can be a bit slippery at times. Touch is very responsive and apps work very smoothly. Battery life is also very good even for a second hand purchase. As for bloatware that depends on how you view Google's applications. It's not as bad as Amazon or Samsung but its can nevertheless be annoying. Great phone all around

I've been a Google pixel user for the last 4 years. I started with a Google Pixel XL and I've also owned two Google Pixel 3 XLs. My original XL crashed after an update. And here I've been using my 3XL for a while now. The 12 update came out and I avoided it forever and I finally did it because my USB flash drive was no longer recognized on my phone. I did not want to do this update because my XL crashed after the update.... finally did the update on the 3XL only to wake up in the morning to my phone not turning on at all. It won't even turn on holding the power and volume down button. It's dead. It's black as a door nail and it will not turn on. Thanks again Google for ruining two of my phones by doing a simple update hence why I did not want to do the update ... MoreI've been a Google pixel user for the last 4 years. The phone is great in its current android version, don't think you might get lucky as I thought I would... Factory reset will not revert this change...Because Android 12 update was released well into this phones life some quality of life and bugs still remain...*Chat bubbles from apps like messenger are difficult to click on due to the edge and bottoms of the screen being dead zones... Maybe because pixel expects a certain UI scheme while the 12 wants something else.Game bar that comes with 12 is still in a beta-like state, very difficult to discover and activate. If you update to 12 after having used the phone for anything other than account set-up will result in broken apps. Which I had to factory reset to fix.Camera is meh, does enough and quality is ... MoreThe phone is great in its current android version, don't think you might get lucky as I thought I would... But LiniageOS was going to be on this phone eventually.Pros...Very fast, fastest in its price range by far (even f you need to get in a certain colour)Has 60 fps options for PUBG/CODM... All phones in this range were 30fps only :P5/5 if you intend to game...2.5/5 for the camera...4.5/5 for responsiveness (if using stock android)...5/5 for bugs (if using stock android)...Happy with purchase WITHOUT 12!!!!

In the world of second hand, trying to have an impact on sustainability, I find a review very important because I was skeptical about "second hand" myself, even though the new-price was only a bit higher than the second-hand price.I bought a "Very good" quality phone of this type and was able to test it a bit now and honestly: I have no complaints, it is great! The packaging looked first-class, undamaged, there were no plastic covers to peel off :)The phone itself looked in prime condition and was factory reset properly. Until now, I cannot spot any defects. If anyone else is thinking about buying a "Very good" quality phone instead of an "As new" one: I do not see a problem, go for it! I would do it again.
My favorite phone that I have ever owned was the Moto X when Google owned Motorola. I was expecting the pixel lineup to be even better. They are not. I have owned a pixel and now the pixel 3 XL. While there are really no major issues and their prices are hard to beat. The minor issues compound enough and have gone unresolved long enough to make me decide that I will be leaving Android altogether and switching to iPhone in the near future. Android Auto and maps are completely useless at times due to these issues. Not to mention I use AT&T so the signal isn't as strong as it should be because according to the people at AT&T the Google phones are not optimized for their network.
Coming from a Samsung S7 Edge, this Pixel 3XL was a welcome change. No more apps turning themselves on by themselves (draining battery to nothing in no time). No more side-switches turning on by themselves (including flashlight). Notifications work again (like they are supposed to!). Front-firing speakers work great. And the camera works like a dream. I used a dark screen saver/background in order to hide the annoying notch in the screen ... now, I don't even notice it! I'm so happy that I made this purchase. I chose this over the Pixel 3A XL because of the IP68 water resistance (while jogging) and wireless charging (couldn't live without it). The front-firing speakers, wide-angle self portraits, gorilla glass, and better CPU were also pluses. I also purchased a ... MoreComing from a Samsung S7 Edge, this Pixel 3XL was a welcome change. The front-firing speakers, wide-angle self portraits, gorilla glass, and better CPU were also pluses. I also purchased a KEZIHOME folio style case for it. The case weighs a ton and adds unwanted bulk to the form factor. But it does what I purchased it for, namely PROTECTION. I feel like I could drop it off a two-story building and the phone would be unscathed. Not suited for the minimalist user, but if you really care about your phone, then this is the case for you. (Note: The KEZIHOME comes in two styles. One is a simple slim-line case. The other is the folio. I have both. Both are very well-made quality products... butI prefer the maximum protection afforded by the folder style case.)
I've owned mine for over 2 years now. For a modestly priced phone...it is a good deal. On the plus side, the camera takes high quality photos, better than iOS of the same price and the videos are crisp. On the downside, the fingerprint settings disappeared after it's first update, a nice feature when it worked initially. Also, the sound quality and volume are very poor. I have to put on speaker just to have a phone conversation. Also, battery life is only about 6 hours now. Also, I'm constantly re-booting the phone just to get wifi and Bluetooth to enable. You get what you pay for I guess.
The phone is above average in all the fields given, but not 100% on all. So many phones are so similar in size, shape, quality, etc. I like the pixels for specific reasons. Front facing stereo speakers, updates, design, simplicity etc. But not all are created equal. Now they've stopped putting front facing stereo speakers, lowered chip quality, and my favorite, not placed knock to wake and sleep as a regular app loaded, no matter how many times I've mentioned it as a consumer. The phone itself I like the design. The back on the pixels are cool. Grippy bottom section, high gloss upper and blacked out print sensor is so cool. Don't understand making battery smaller in the 3 verses the 2 XL. Bigger seems better when it comes to battery, always. I was happy with my old 2 XL, but started shutting down every time I'd plug it in. Figured the end was near. No other problems other than that. All in all the 3 XL is fast clean android, great screen, great speakers, solid built mini computer.
Very happy with this phone. Real android! The reviews that complained about the difficulty with the screen not bright enough was a software issue and solved by the fact it was upgraded to android 11 when i received it. The other main complaint was battery size. So far, with heavy usage, the battery lasts about two days. I can live with that. Measures I've taken to improve battery life include using the Dark theme to limit screen energy use. Not using battery saver mode at all. At $150 with tax, this phone is the best decision I've made in years and will get updates! Upgraded to android 12 and no issues at all!
