First off, to anyone thinking about a new phone the Google Pixel 6 is definitely worth considering. The 7 Pro is also just days away from release. With that in mind, ill stick to the subject matter on the 6 Pro. I have been using the Pixel 6 Pro as a work phone a couple weeks now. I use a note 20 ultra for personal use. So that is the comparision and reference point i use most. In my younger years motorolla phones were my go to, about 5 years ago i transferred over to samsung. Now Google has a handful of years practicing and perfecting their line up and dare I say I might make another switch of allegiance. The Pixel 6 Pro takes slightly better pictures, is much faster, and now that I am finally starting to learn how to use it better, it might even have a higher functionality and customization ceiling. The Pixel 6 Pro seems light weight and durable. The opposite of my experience around the new z folds and flip. The screen produces top notch visuals, and sound quality is great. The internal antenna seems to pick up a bar more of reception than my note 20 on average. All in all, s pen function excluded, it does everything my note 20 does but slightly better. Google has officially put its name in the top contender list with this rendition and the Pixel 7 looks to be even a notch better.

I've had my Google Pixel 6 Pro for about 3 weeks. I was ecstatic to finally own a Pixel, because I've heard nothing but great things about them and couldn't wait to see for myself. Upon unboxing my new phone, I noticed it's very slick and definitely needed a case, to prevent it from slipping out of my hands. The Dark Grey color of this phone is absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorite colors. I really like the big screen size, but am not too fond of the curved edges. The initial setup was simple and didn't take much time to complete. I simply plugged in a USB cord, from one phone to the other and followed the instructions on the screen. I use my phone for everything, from family to work and I was always running out of space. I simply plugged in a USB cord, from one phone to the other and followed the instructions on the screen. I use my phone for everything, from family to work and I was always running out of space. I'm very happy with the storage size, it's exactly what I need. The picture and audio quality are both amazing! I'm constantly taking photos and if you have a toddler, you know how difficult that can be and upsetting it is, when you miss the perfect photo opportunity. With my last phone, it lagged before taking photos, everything would be a big blur and I'd miss every special moment. I'm glad I no longer need to worry about that? The fast speed on this Pixel, makes work so much easier and I'm now able to complete tasks, in record time! As for online shopping, which I do a lot of. The Google Pixel 6 Pro does Not meet my needs. When I use my shopping app, it opens to the product just fine, but once I change size or color, I can no longer add the item to my cart. Half of my Google links wont even open, unless I сору and paste them in a messaging app and it's not just the link, because I have no issues opening them on my other devices. Both of these issues are fixed with each update, but they're only fixed temporarily and for a short period of time. One of the main reasons I was excited about owning this phone is, the long battery life. Unfortunately the battery doesn't last as long as it should. Like I stated before, I use my phone for work and I'm not even able to get in a full day's work, before I have to stop and charge it, for nearly 3 hours. Unfortunately there are more cons! I don't mind my phone having Google assistant on it, it's actually quite convenient. My issue is the assistant taking the place of what should be the power button. It took me 5 minutes to figure out that I needed to hold down the assistant button and volume up, to power off the phone, due to it over heating. Yes, this phone overheats and it overheats quickly, with simple things like reading emails or messages. I honestly hope that most of or all of these issues can be fixed, because the Google Pixel 6 Pro has a lot of potential to be a really great phone!

I should start this off by saying that I or my wife have owned the Nexus (pre-Pixel), Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5 5G. All of those phone have been pretty darn good from the hardware side (screen, battery life, etc.), and they have all been FANTASTIC from the software side. This phone is no different. Jumping into the software first-- I love the pixel lineup because they are straight from Google without any extra bloatware on them from the phone company. The Android operating system is not modified, so you get security updates immediately-- you don't have to wait 3-6 months for the phone manufacturer to tweak them and finally send them out to you. This runs the latest Android (and will receive updates for a few more years). The interface is clean, snappy, intuitive, and it works darn well. I love it. On the hardware side, this phone is no slouch either. If you aren't heavy into gaming and screen usage (you're just surfing the web, texting, browsing social media, etc.), then you'll go to bed with 30-40% still left. if you are a heavy mobile gamer, etc. then I expect it'll be a much shorter battery life. That being said, this does charge via USB-C, so if you have one of the better (higher wattage and more expensive) chargers, then this will rapid charge swiftly. From there, the screen is sharp, clear, and usable in bright sunlight. It also dims considerably on the low end so you're not blinded as you browse in bed. The screen does curve down the edges of the phone, which looks pretty cool, but doesn't add a lot of function. The camera is great as well. it has a couple of camera on the back-- from a wide angle lens to a 4x telephoto lens. The pictures have good colors, are sharp, and are just as good as every other cell phone on the market I've used lately. Will it beat a big DSLR? No, but it's more than adequate for prints, social media, etc. The main things I don't like about this phone are: 1) The finger print scanner is now on the front (through the screen, you can't even see it). It works well, but about 1 in 3 times I have to scan my thumb twice. The older Pixels with the scanner on the back were slightly quicker and more accurate and you could find them without looking. This one you have to look down at the screen to see where to place your finger. 2) The camera bar on the back projects from the phone. It's not a big deal, but it's not a smooth, flat surface 3) The curved screen looks great and I like it-- but it makes finding screen protectors difficult. The hard (tempered glass ones) are pricey and prone to breaking easy because it's hard to manufacture a curved piece of glass. So, I'm currently using a ebdnable plastic one that adheres to the screen. Works great, but I would feel better if it was a hard protector. 4) The screen size is large and it's hard to swipe down from the top if you're only using one hand. That's really about it. There are some far more detailed review out there if you really want to nerd out on this phone, but overall I would recommend it in a heartbeat unless you have small hands or hate big screens. The software/operating system is a joy to use (even compared to other Android systems-- coming straight from Google it is so refined), the hardware is great as well. Bright screen, good camera, haven't had any issues with 5G or wifi reception. it does have some minor annoyances, but they are just that-- minor. For my needs, this phone is a solid 5 stars.

This was my first Google Pixel phone, having been a Galaxy person my whole cellphone life, and I can see why so many people are making the change. Right out of the box, the phone looks great. The sleek and smooth glass on the front and back feel good in your hand, but I'd definitely recommend a case to prevent dropping it. The USB-C connection cord made data transfer simple and quick. The screen is bright and crystal clear which makes the colors really look crisp. The fingerprint reader works as well if not better than my old Galaxy phones but it does occasionally have trouble picking it up on the first try. The fingerprint reader works as well if not better than my old Galaxy phones but it does occasionally have trouble picking it up on the first try. The speaker is very nice and definitely felt like a top of the line addition. Music sounded very good, and call quality is no problem. The phone's processing speed in my opinion is the best I've ever had. Absolutely no issue switching between apps and having multiple things working at once. The battery life is decent, lasts me most of the day on my busiest days, outperforming my old phone by about 25 percent. There is no headphone jack, which I do personally miss, however that seems to be the way all phones are nowadays and just something I'll have to get used to. Also not having expandable memory is a bit of a bummer, so if you like to download a lot or like to record/photograph you might have to lose something to accommodate your needs. The biggest positive this phone has though, is it's camera. The powerful camera takes some of the most beautiful pictures I've ever taken with a phone. The Pixel also has some of the best included editing tools on the market. Motion Mode is fun to play with, and the 20x zoom is impressive. My favorite is the Magic Eraser that can save a great photo by eliminating a pesky problem with ease. Video is also great, allowing you the ability to record live in 4k, looking incredible. There are also built-in tools for video as well, which help to lessen background noise and put more emphasis on the person being recorded so they sound clear even while walking down a busy street. All around one of the best camera experiences I've had. Honestly couldn't be happier with my first exposure to the Pixel world, with the very minor issues I've had being mostly personal preference things I can easily look past.
I’ve been an Apple (iPhone) user for my entire life, specifically an iPhone 7 Plus for the past 6 years, which is my main comparison. Note: the pixel pro 6 doesn’t come with a wall plug in, ONLY the cord. I was upset with this. If a household member didn’t have the correct wall outlet plug in compatible (which I’m sure many people do NOT have this) I would’ve had to go out and buy one separate, which I find ridiculous. A pricey phone should come with at least the entire charging component. I was sad there were no headphones too :( First of all - the pixel 6 pros camera is AWESOME. I mean, it really is breath taking! It takes stunning photos and has so many settings to choose from! I’m not used to all the advanced features. I am finding new things every day, and I ... I mean, it really is breath taking! It takes stunning photos and has so many settings to choose from! I’m not used to all the advanced features. I am finding new things every day, and I have been using this phone for more than a week now. I love how fast it is. I love the clarity of the images. Something that stands out, is the bedtime feature. You can actually choose soothing music and set a TIMER for it under the CLOCK setting! I use the “calm” app and will do the rain sound. The phone isn’t as large as I’d like, but it’s big enough. The “hey google!” Feature is fun and easy when I need my hands free! Sometimes I end up having to type to clarify what I meant anyway, but hey, phones can only do so much. I found the “edges” of the phone to be bothersome. This phone is VERY slippery. I mean it’s constantly falling out of my pocket, and sliding across surfaces. I recommend a heavier duty case. Also, back to the edges, get a case that covers the entire screen! Or the edges will show, and it’s a hazard for a broken screen. I personally find that detail a design flaw. Again, my opinion. Overall I still do find myself using my iphone, I like the feel and shape of it WAY more. I wish the pixel pro 6 was larger and flat, then IMO it would be perfect! I would definitely recommend this phone, due to how advanced it is. I would say grab it on sale if possible. Check out my photos I uploaded.
I have to admit that I was nervous about trying out Google. I have had iPhones since 2011. This phone has blown me away. It is so much smaller and lighter than my regular phone. I can't say enough about the size. It's so easy to manage, light to hold, and fits nicely in my pants pocket. The camera is out of this world. The colors are so vibrant, it captures the contrasting colors perfectly. I can't say enough good things about the camera on this Pixel 6 Pro. Using the phone is easy. The screen is bright and I can use it outside even on full sun days. The apps all load easily and perform flawlessly. I found the battery life to be average. Don't hestitate to buy this phone. It's a luxury phone at a very reasonable price. You're getting a lot more than what you're paying for.
Pros Easy data transfer Great speaker Sharp, high-resolution screen Seamless integration with pixel buds Great design Responsive fingerprint reader Ip68 water/dust resistance UI is fast and easy to use Fantastic camera and camera software Reasonable price for a flagship phone Improved security with Tensor chip Cons Some software issues The all-glass body feels fragile Screen brightness seems low From first unboxing I’ve been in love with this phone! It is a dream to hold and the 2k screen is the sharpest I’ve had the pleasure of using. The included USB-C to USB-C cable made transferring data from my old phone (Samsung S21 5G) fast and easy. With the camera and software, I am taking photos that are on par with or even better than my DSLR. It’s incredible what Google ... With the camera and software, I am taking photos that are on par with or even better than my DSLR. It’s incredible what Google has done tailoring the software to work with their new Tensor chip. I haven’t had a chance to use the live transcribe/translate feature yet, but I am encouraged to book a trip in the future knowing I have such capabilities in my pocket. The fingerprint reader has worked flawlessly, though it does light up the screen in that area, which was a surprise the first time I unlocked it in the dark. Compared to my S21, the screen brightness has to be turned up further in order to have a comparable brightness, though at maximum brightness there is little difference between phones. I suspect the brightness curve is just calibrated differently, possibly to improve battery life. The battery easily lasts a whole day for me and I love the feature where it will sync the charging speed to finish right as your morning alarm goes off, saving unnecessary battery wear. The speaker is the best I have experienced on a phone. I was surprised at the dynamic range the first time I turned on some music; this has by far the best bass/mid response I’ve ever heard from a phone speaker, and the treble side holds its own too. While I love the feel of this phone in my hand, I’d recommend a case for long term use as it is a glass body. I have encountered a few bugs and software hiccups so far, but there have already been several updates, so I see no reason to believe that things won’t be polished. Overall, this phone provides top of the line security, hardware, and software in a beautiful package. It truly lives up to Flagship status.
I have had my Pixel 6 for two weeks now and I'm blown away by its performance, especially the night mode for taking photos. The software side of things is a killer feature among Google Android phones, especially considering the affordable price. A couple of other highlights for me have been the integration of Google Assistant, which can not only control all of your connected devices, but can also do things like serve as an interpreter with the live translate mode, which is amazing. While we are on the subject of live translation, you can also use Google Lens to translate text in photos, as well as messages and media you receive. It is really effective and really cool to have this much translation power in your pocket. The voice-to-text of the phone is nearly ... It is really effective and really cool to have this much translation power in your pocket. The voice-to-text of the phone is nearly flawless and you barely need to slow down when speaking. One area that has been a bit of a struggle is the fingerprint reader under. Honestly, it operates at the level that my former Galaxy Note 21 operated, especially if I had lotion on my hands or was sweating but it's definitely not a dealbreaker. It works most of the time, but when compared directly with my previous Pixel phone, it feels like a step back but hopefully the bugs will get worked out. The back of the phone is made of Gorilla Glass which is a nice feature, especially considering I'm not a huge phone case fan. I have dropped the phone once so far on my hardwood floors and it held up nicely. One of my favorite features is the Magic Eraser which allows you to erase a person or object from a photo. Overall, I am happy with my new phone.
I've been using the Pixel 6 Pro for a couple of days now and I'm impressed with how well it handles. Here's what I love: * The screen is stunning to look at (once you pick a background that is high res enough). * The user interface is super responsive, smoothly switching between apps and screens. * The fingerprint sensor is actually in the middle of the screen and it works very well (definitely a lot easier to unlock than my previous phone). * The camera takes great high res shots, even in low light. I took a night shot of Manhattan from my hotel window, which you can see below. * Wrap around screen makes it feel sleek and stylish. And here's some things I wasn't impressed with: * No SD card slot. Sigh. * No 3.5mm headphone jack. Hello silly USB-C adapter. Overall a ... The Pixel 6 Pro has some amazing and unique features. The first thing I noticed is the big display and the 120 Hz refresh rate. It makes the screen look so smooth and feels premium. The camera array looks kind of funny to me, but it takes really detailed photos especially with the selfie camera. I especially like the "magic eraser" feature and though it was pretty cool, although I might not have much use for it. I think my favorite part of the phone is that since it is a Google phone and Android is a Google product, you get the cleanest and most smooth version of Android than any other phone. It doesn't have unnecessary apps or annoying bloatware like some of my previous phone have had and the phone is so customizable within the settings. This feels like how Android ... Overall, I would recommend the Pixel 6 Pro. It is a flagship phone, so I'd say it is a good value for all the high quality features you get and that are exclusive to these phones. I'm enjoying it so far, so I might have to stick with Pixel phones in the future!
