First time utilizing Amazon renewable services, so certainly not trying to convey a wealth of experience. I ordered the Pixel 6 pro, paid $298. Brand new retail was $650. The unit I ordered was listed in "Excellent" condition. I received a generic box that included the phone which was professionally encased in a foam cover, a sim key, cable packaged, and charger sealed in plastic. The charger and cable appear to be new, the charger is a black samsung fast charger. Additionally they include a return label (in case you wish to send back the phone), and Amazon offers a 90 day return window. (normal is 60 day)The phone was clean (no smudges or fingerprints), and free from any blemishes. The only sign it was not brand new was a little discoloration near the microphone and that may have been just the color of the protective screen. The phone booted up to the home screen with no data on it(like it had been tested). I factory reset it and the phone linked with my google account and Sim with no issues. I did need a double usb c cable(not included) to transfer data from my old phone (Pixel 2) to the new Pixel 6 Pro. The whole set up process was easy and the phone appears to be fully functional. The initial review of the phone itself. I bought this to replace a Pixel 7 (not a pro) that had a laundry list of problems including the dreaded spontaneously cracking rear camera lens. (Amazon accepted my return for a partial refund, Google would not honor warranty claim. ) My previous (to the Pixel 7)phone and the one I used in the interim was the Pixel 2 (love the pixel 2 all time favorite phone, just hasn't been supported since 2020, so is a little buggy, and battery life is terrible. )The Pixel 6 pro has an amazing camera set up. 4 times optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. That being said I recognize the specs are better than both the Pixel 7 and 2, but Im not sure how many photos I take that truly take advantage of the increased capability. All three phones were completely adequate. The processor on all three phones is faster than I am, so Im not sure I can really rate the difference, but it is plenty fast and years of updates coming. Where I am super happy, the fingerprint scanner, the pixel 7 never worked very well, (maybe 1 out of 10, and I often had to wet my thumb for biometric authentication which made it better but still maybe 5 out of 10), nothing I did made a significant improvement(no protector, w/ protector, reinput fingerprints etc. ). The pixel 2 is the best fingerprint scanner I have ever used (I really like it being placed on the rear and using my index finger. ) That said the Pixel 6 Pro has the screen thumbprint scanner like the 7, but it works 9 out of 10 times, and honestly I think the 10th time may be because I miss the spot with my thumb. So huge improvement over the 7 and I can only hope google goes back to the rear one in the future(not holding my breath)Size, its taller than the 7, it is a pro, and both the regular 6 and 7 are much larger than the 2. I really liked the 2's size 6 inches, but none of the top phones are sub 6 inches anymore, and going from the 7 to the 6 pro really hasn't changed where I can put it or how I use it. So overall not a negative factor for me, but a both 7 and 6 pro are a little big for the front pocket. My initial impressions are really good, I am pleasantly surprised with Amazons renewal service, and the price point is fantastic (46% of new cost), also it is nice to give new life to a piece of tech that otherwise may have gone to the landfill. The pixel 6 pro at least initially seems to not have any of the issues I suffered through with the 7, the fingerprint scanner works, the USB C port works consistently, hopefully no issues with the screen or camera lens, I have protectors on both and a Spigen case. Also, the pro model has a significantly better fit and finish despite being a model year older. According to the specs a 6 pro beats a 7 regular in almost every area. Amazon incentivizing using this service with extending the return window and even including the return receipt makes using this renewal service an excellent option. My phone looked brand new, I did see in the reviews that some people had some blemishes on the body. I am always going to put a case on it, I would have been ok with some minor blemishes , if everything works and the lens and screen are perfect, but everyone is different. I will update if anything changes.

The fastest possible work and smooth animations. Fantastic shots and night photography. The battery capacity is enough for a day of active use. I liked the waterfall display for its color rendition; there are occasional clicks, but not often. After 120 Hz it hurts to look at 60 in other phones. The main disadvantage is the lack of a second slot for a physical SIM card. The phone initially had small, shallow scratches on the screen, but everything was in accordance with the stated condition. The box and branded wire were missing upon receipt, but for this price it is acceptable. I highly recommend purchasing the Pixel line.

Great pictures - bad phone.

I had a Pixel 4 that I absolutely loved, so when I upgraded I went for the newer Pixel 6. Preliminarily, they removed the fingerprint sensor on the back of the Pixel 4 that made it super easy to open. Fingerprint sensor on the front...not how fingers work.Secondly, this thing fails at its utter primary purpose. That is to say, it is a terrible phone and communication device. Even though it is connected to WiFi almost 100% of the time, my texts come and go at random times. As if I do not already catch enough flak for being the only person in my friend group without an iPhone, my Pixel 6 Pro cannot seem to send or receive messages timely. Frequently, people get texts from me a week or more after they were sent. Frequently, people get texts from me a week or more after they were sent. One time, it sent a CLIENT a text message at 3:30 a.m.With respect to phone calls, it struggles with this as well. I have watched a phone call come in and been in front of the phone, trying to answer and unable to do so. Drag button up to answer? Yeah. Keep dragging. See if it works this time. (Spoiler alert: it does not.)When it falls off the WiFi (something it does regularly), it refuses to use the cellular network THAT I PAY FOR. It takes 3-5 business days for it to recognize that it is on a network plan and then try to access that instead of the WiFi. What if this were an emergency?, I think. What if my brother is calling me because he needs bail money and he just wasted his one phone call to try to reach me on a phone that cost more than A THOUSAND DOLLARS when I bought it that I was unable to answer simply because the technology is not as good as it was when I had a Nokia in high school in 2003?The one thing I will miss about having a Google phone is the magic eraser. But, surely there is an app for that. There is no app to make your phone function as a phone. Stay away from this.

My 1st experience with a Google phone. I waited over a yr of use to write review because a percentage of faults was operator error. Now that I got majority of bugs worked out per updates & settings preferences here is what can't be fixed. Phone will not fast charge while in use. Ex. Just listening to Pod cast with no screen activity phone may charge 5-10%/hr. With all adaptive charging protocols removed. Selection of cases is very limited, most cases suffocate phone adding to the overheating issue that already exists. Can't play gms that tax CPU longer than 15mins without phone disconnecting from network cuz it goes into cool down mode. Camera lens spontaneously shattered within 10 days of ownership. Personally I think that has sumthing to do with the over heating. It's not as delicate as a Samsung but it's not robust. I'd give it 5 on durability cuz I did drop it with silicon case on it & the corner shattered. It's still intact but the back glass is broke not screen. Bluetooth sound is suspect connected to earbuds. They had a software update that included sound amplifier but all it does is make sound unnatural & doesn't raise volume. Now I don't know if I want to give Google another chance with new Pixel or move on to another Brand that uses Android OS. Despite shattered glass over camera it's not an issue unless it in panorama mode. With that said it takes the best pics of any phone I've used. Portrait mode rivals DLR cameras. Unfortunately taking pics is a small percentage of my use. I would not recommend the Pixel 6. It's been through more than the fair share of updates & growing pains not to be 100% I feel like they released it premature. And can't fix everything with software updates.

This phone doesn't work. My cellular data works maybe 45 percent of the time, and it is always dropping wifi. In order to have my data work I need to restart my phone, or set it in air plane more. It's the same for using the hot spot. Calls will sound terrible even though it says I have full bars. I pay for YouTube Premium and the GOOGLE phone cannot properly connect data/wifi after anything happens, i.e. if I receive a test, call, phone alarm, or whenever the data/wifi drops. I need to open my phone and wait for YouTube to connect again before continuing. The battery life sucks. It cannot last me through my work day. I need to charge it during my lunch and once again when I get home. Beware when using the device for too long, or else the phone gets hot to touch. ... MoreThis phone doesn't work. Do not buy this phone, it is not worth the money. I switch from Samsung to Google with the hopes that it was the same or better for cheeper. Just spend the extra few hundred and get anything other than this.

[Rewarded Review] Very Surprised by the quality! Would Recommend!
29 January 2024

I was very surprised with the quality of the phone! I'm not usually a big fan of getting used/refurbished phones since I have had issues in the past with them through other companies. The phone came in a well packaged box, not the original phone box which was fine, it also came with a usb-c cable which was nice and unexpected. Very minor scratches if any, the battery felt brand new, no lagging whatsoever and no dead pixels on the screen. Over-all I would highly recommend people to look into Best Buy's refurbished phones! Especially if you are just wanting to replace your old Pixel 6 Pro cause it's screen was broken because you accidently sat on it with a chair...
