Purchased the 30W Google battery charger separately...charges the phone in about an hour (ran down to 5% battery remaining). Chatted for better than 4 hours in one day and only consumed about 12% of the battery... The photo quality of this phone is excellent. I have owned other brands of phones that were good, but this phone camera is amongst the best. Zooming with any camera causes pixelation, but the cameras on this phone cause minimal. Colors are rich and sharp. If you want a top line phone without breaking the bank...the Google Pixel 7 is a GREAT option. Google has become a great competitor for top line phones that cost twice as much.

Where to begin with this phone? I've had multiple issues with my pixel 7. Random green screens that you can only clear up by restarting your phone, or locking and reunlocking your phone. Excessive heat when playing a game or even using Google maps. Buggy system with Google maps, Spotify, or just about any function. fingerprint scanner is sub par at best. My boss called me the other day, and I couldn't pick up the call because the system UI was not responding. Google maps doesn't work properly half the time. Maps thinks you miss your turn, even though you made it. This makes driving in uncommon areas difficult when you have tight turns close to each other. The bluetooth issues with this phone are HORRENDOUS. when I'm listening to anything on my earbuds, the audio cuts out repeatedly minute by minute. Google releases a patch for this, and it fixed absolutely nothing. The screen is decent and the 90hz display is just right for those of us that want a smooth screen, but don't want to spend all their battery on a 120hz display and don't want to sacrifice for 60hz.This phone is not worth it, and I do not recommend it to anyone. Google has had this phone for 8 years now, and my wife's iPhone 13 pro max has worked flawlessly ever since she picked it up when it came out. I'm not expecting anything spectacular at 699$, but at least do the basics (answering phone calls, stable Bluetooth, no green screen out of nowhere) properly. But Google struggles with that all too much. I'm moving to iPhone as soon as this piece of junk is paid off. No more silly phone issues.
Going into my second week with the Pixel 7, all I can say is avoid it. After wasting countless hours trying to get it setup and working, while troubleshooting nearly every aspect of it, only to have much of that hard work undone almost daily or a couple times per day is frustrating. So what's wrong with the Pixel 7? There's things that are terrible that will never get fixed, such as the useless fingerprint sensor, the poorly positioned volume buttons and the crummy audio, to things that should work and don't or you can get to work occasionally and then they break, such as the gestures, Google Assistant, Gboard and camera. It's a heartbreaker because it's truly a super cool phone and is packed full of features. If only it worked better. Throughout my time with the ... It's a heartbreaker because it's truly a super cool phone and is packed full of features. If only it worked better. Throughout my time with the Pixel 7, I've had it almost working in a stable fashion, got excited and bought a case... Then it starts failing and I go through hours of troubleshooting to get it working again, get excited because I think it's stable for I buy a screen protector, then of course it gets all weird and I spend more time troubleshooting and tinkering, only to think that SURELY NOW IT'S STABLE, so I order up a charger, and of course it stops working properly again. It's behind in the performance department but it's fast enough for regular use, but the glitchiness and bugs are infuriating. The only people I would recommend this phone to are Android junkies that live for fixing and tweaking their phone. For people who just need a phone to work as intended, this isn't it. Now my completely reliable and usable Motorola I traded in for this beta pseudo phone, is somewhere in the black hole of Verizon's return department in Texas, never to be seen again, so I've got to try and return the Pixel, but my old phone is gone and I'm now in need of a stable working phone, so I'll likely be on ebay looking for something older and more reliable with a real fingerprint sensor, or trying to switch over to the Apple ecosystem and use an old iPhone 8 I've got sitting around. Ugh
Coming from an iPhone 12 Pro max, I got bored of the rubbish battery life and the whole iPhone experience got very boring so fancied a change. Went for the Pixel 7, the 8 was a bit pricey for me as it's just come out. I've had the Pixel 7 a couple days now and I'm really getting on with it so far. Not that the screen on the 7 is small, but coming from a Pro Max iPhone I can tell the difference and miss the bigger phone.Hopefully over time I'll get used to it! But it does feel more pocket sized and easier to hold in one hand. It's not lagged, crashed, or given me any issues at all and I think I'll be sticking to Google Pixel from now on.Everything is just seamless and the way all the Google apps work together it genuinely feels helpful, along with all the extra features the Pixel has.5 stars from me
The Pixel 7 128GB phone is awful. I have had it for six months now and it just keeps getting worse. My biggest problem is the phone overheating with just a couple of minutes of use when using mobile data instead of wi-fi. This started happening more and more often after the December 2023 update and now the phone is pretty much unusable if I'm not using wi-fi. It also shuts down randomly, sometimes mid-call.Google support is not helpful -- instead of addressing the issue, they recommend that I not use phone apps while on mobile data or to stop using it when it gets hot. My initial huge complaint -- the fingerprint sensor not really working -- has been dwarfed by all that is wrong with it now. I'm so disappointed. My previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S10E that I bought in 2019. I'd rather have that five-year-old phone again instead of this one. Stay away.
The phone itself is surprisingly heavy and large (I am aware that the description states its weight and size, I have read it) As many review writers have already described, the fingerprint reader can't read your fingerprint easily, you need a little fiddling, and the whole touch screen works like this. The calculator does not have a unit converter, which other cheaper phones do. Although it is not the phone's fault that eSIM activation is not really easy with my service providers, so 2 physical SIM slots would be more practical. Going back to the previous page in Google also requires a bit of fiddling, there are much simpler solutions on other phones. Pictures are ok, deleting objects or people also works. Colours of photos are nice enough, although not exceptionally special. I also think this phone has a lot of useful and well-functioning options, but lacks practical options found on older phones. I can't see much improvement compared to my previous phone (Oneplus Nord)
I had this phone for a year and hate it. The face scanner slightly alleviates this issue, but not significantly enough for it to not be a thorn in my side when I need quick access to something. Yes, I've retrained my fingerprints and followed all standard troubleshooting procedures. Multiple times. No, it's never gotten better.-Modem. I'm a tech professional in Texas who has multiple eSIMs, and extensive LTE/5G troubleshooting experience - I feel confident and comfortable in saying the Pixel 7's modem is garbage. Like with every other hardware/software issue Google ships their products with, the comedy troupe called "Google support" will deny that there is any known problem with the Pixel 7's modem. If you actually do some web searches on it, however, you'll find many non-Google sources where people have the same problem I do with mine - SIMs will randomly drop to 0 bars. The SIMs never come back up unless you reboot or do a full android network settings wipe. Earlier I mentioned I'm in Texas - the two big network players here are AT&T and Verizon, which are the two eSIM providers I have for my phone. If you have these two providers here in the lone star state, there are generally few areas where you won't have some level of service. I know this from troubleshooting LTE/5G devices all over the state. On this phone, both of my eSIMs would simultaneously drop to 0 bars at random - about 2-3 times a week. It is EXTREMELY rare for this to happen organically. Two major networks with high availability do not just randomly go down at the same time several times a month, and if they did, they certainly wouldn't become immediately operational again just from rebooting your phone - but that's what consistently happened to me. Yes, I did the full gamut of troubleshooting that support suggested - factory resets, network settings wipes, reboots, APN tweaks, swapping the active data plan, activating/de-activating a certain SIM, even trying different cases and chanting spells. The thing's modem just sucks. Maybe I just got a bad Pixel, but then again... Buying that argument would require Google to own up to shipping out phones with defective modems, which they'll never do. They would prefer to pretend there is no problem.-Battery. Drains quickly. Lasts maybe half a day. Gets too hot. What else is there to say?Don't buy it. Google doesn't deserve your money.
the phone would be great (other than the fact that the security systems such as the fingerprint and face reader are garbage) but it's so ridiculously fragile. I have gone through now 3 of these phones, the first, fell down a staircase (with a case AND screen protector) not long after I got it and just...died. Screen wouldn't turn on, wouldn't vibrate, nothing. I thought it was a fluke and got a new one from the warranty, it lasted around a year, where it then fell from around 4 feet (again, with a case AND screen protector) causing the screen to not function, but the bluetooth would work and it would vibrate. Got it checked out and it turns out that the innermost layer of the screen, not the glass but a layer behind it, spiderwebbed, causing the screen to stop ... Bringing me to my most recent disappointment, at of the time of writing, I got my newest pixel 7 YESTERDAY, it vibrated off of a small table falling around 2 feet (with a case, no screen protector this time unfortunately) and the EXACT same thing happened, now it simply doesn't turn on or anything. yippee, time to switch to something else.
