I bought this jacket for mountain biking. Originally, I was using a running jacket that had a hood but the this was quite baggy and the hood kept flapping about which was really annoying. I decided to buy the Paclite jacket as I had read and heard positive reviews.The Paclite jacket is simply brilliant. Great jacket. Bought it to replace my previous one which was 10 years old. The previous jacket was still good, it's just I wanted one slightly bigger to fit some layers underneath for winter, and I wanted one that was black. I bought the previous one as an emergency purchase when I was caught out in a rainstorm.It packs up really small so it's always ready in my rucksack in case of a downpour.One slight niggle - a couple of front pockets for phone, keys would be nice.

This is a great high visibility, highly breathable cycling jacket that I use for commuting. I have many Gore garments and they are always high quality and long lasting. I am 180cm tall, 76kg and bought a size large. I would recommend the product.

I was hesitated due to the confused sizing. Read quite a lot of reviews in terms of sizing everywhere on the web. Eventually realized that it is usually advertized as European sizing on the web. US sizing is one size down on Gore's cycling clothes. I am 178cm/5'10" tall and 72kg/162lbs. It's "active fit" is straight and it doesn't fit like "slim", "trim" or "tight" fittings. It fits perfectly on my slightly tall and regular shape Asian body. Went ahead and bought an EU large. With usual great GT Paclite fabric quality. Seamseal looks perfect as well. Packed really small to be able to fit into my cycling jersey's back pockets.I have yet to try it under the rain. I will expect it to work like my Arcteryx GT Paclite emergency jacket as well.
This was a great jacket. Unfortunately we have to return it just cause the waist was a bit small for my husband if he were to bike in it and they don’t have the LARGE in stock , but the colour , style and quality was spot on . No issues with ordering or shipping. Will definitely purchase the large when it is back in stock for him.
This jacket survived the crazy weather of the 2022 Tour Divide MTB race from Canada to Mexico and tons of training rides and bikepacking trips prior to the race. It breathes fairly well for a rain shell and simply does what it needs to do, which, on a few occasions, meant preventing me from freezing to death in cold rain. I only have two complaints: 1) It lacks a hood; and 2) The zipper eventually busted and the jacket had to be replaced (by another GORE jacket with a hood!) But I knew this jacket lacked a hood when I bought it, and it's hard to hold a grudge against a jacket that survived months of abuse. Believe me, I wouldn't have bought another if this jacket hadn't been amazing. It's worth the money!
Great coat re waterproofing, breathable and colour. Enough room to wear more layers. Very light. Only drawback is the fragility of the fabric… but that is the pay off re its qualities as a lightweight jacket.
This is a versatile jacket that has a slighter looser fit allowing you to wear layers underneath (or even a CamelBak). It’s very waterproof and very breathable meaning you can just leave it on when it rains on and off. It just about fits in a jersey pocket but it’s not super compact like some of the racing waterproofs available. I went for red which is still very visible but not overtly so.
I purchased this jacket after having ,seen one on a cycling friend. I chose a n EU size M jacket according to the size chart. I am so pleased that I did. The size M fits me extremely well. I am 170cm tall, weigh 66kg and have a form fit. The jacket has so far worked very well in light showers and protects well from a cold headwind. The construction seems solid and well made and I expect that the jacker will work well in heavier rain when I encounter it.
This jacket is excellent. It is waterproof and breathable, more breathable than I expected. It is not a “boil in the bag” job. I’ve owned jackets that have made me sweat so much I might as well have allowed the rain to soak me. It packs down to a size that will fit in a jersey pocket, just. It’s not the smallest when folded, but I can forgive that because of the performance. I’m 5’11” and 11st 7, the medium fits well. All my Gore clothing is size M.
