Bought these on the strength of reviews to monitor the temperature and humidity in the areas where I keep Nepenthes plants and was not disappointed. The three I received gave very similar readings and I was able to tweak calibration via the Govee home app.Conditions shown on each unit and on my phone via the app. Patterns of temp., humidity, dew point and vpd available and an alarm can be set to warn if readings fall outside parameters you are able to set. C or F readings. Blue tooth works well within the house but may not function over longer distances should you wish to monitor in an external greenhouse.

I assumed these were accurate and running properly. They were always reading 70-75%. But in taking them out, I now realized they don’t drop accurately. In the mean time I purchased 4 new hygrometers. In the comparison picture you can see how horribly bad the govees are. I reached out to Govee and they would offer me a 10% discount on the purchase of new ones. You can keep your $5 discount. I will not be trusting you again.

With these I now have complete temperature and humidity data every minute for two years. None have failed. They are quite accurate and can even be calibrated. AA batteries last 4 to 6 months.This setup allows me to gather data from upstairs with downstairs, outdoors, and garage. Alerts can be set to warn of overly hot/cold or humid/dry conditions based on your settings. Press on any device in this dashboard and you get historical plots of temp and humidity over time (you can choose the scale granularity), and also provides a button to download a time range of data for that device (or all devices) as a CSV file (which can be imported into spreadsheets, etc). With this data I can see how often the furnace or compressor turns on, for how long, and how efficiently it heats a room (useful for determining maintenance on those expensive systems).Devices are bluetooth only, so the app updates only when you are in your home, not remotely. The WiFi version of this device (at higher cost) would be needed for that capability. Also, in my experience, the app only works on a single phone.All in all, an inexpensive and extremely useful tool.

Hey Govee-Team,wouldn*t it make sense to integrate the Bluetooth Hygrometers/Thermometers into the GoveeDesktop tool? Not ecveryone will control temperatures with the mobile and in times when morte and more people work in a home office it would be interesting to see humity and temperatures also at the PC screen.
I like the big, easy to read numbers, but I have had several of these Govee products and if they get damp repeatedly while misting my reptile enclosures, the numbers start to fade fairly quickly until they become illegible and the product is useless. Changing the battery does nothing. I just had to replace the product in multiple tanks. Not nearly as sturdy and long lasting as I had hoped. Product works great in my bearded dragon tank that rarely needs misting.
The device itself is fine but the app updates are slow. Takes 20 seconds to get updated information. The widget is even worse. Only updates when it wants to. Will be returning the product to see if the wifi version gives more timely information.
Perfect for showing temperature and humidity.The app integrates well and full support. Easy toSet up in less than a minute. I now have 3 and will buy more for each room. I can use my humidifier when I get an alert of humidity rising. Great value. What’s not to like. Don’t forget the excellent customer service.
This product gave me peace of mind. I purchased this to go inside my GQF incubator. It is an older model and does not have all the bells and whistles. I needed some thing that would Que me when the temperature and humidity was not at an acceptable level.It was super easy to Bluetooth it to my phone it was easy to set up and gave me the ability to choose the temperature and humidity range that was acceptable to me. All in all I will buy more of these so I have them for my brooders too! I am so super pleased with this product, it saved me from more disappointing quail hatches.
I personally have 7 of this model (and also have the H5100 series govee thermo/hydrometers) and my oldest one is almost 3 years old.Work great and excellent brand sor lighting and smart home products.All Android apps require location permissions for any wireless communication (IE BLE). Disregard old reviewers complaints.
VERY difficult to set up, scant instructions, which are microscopic.Works, but the touted update is sloooow or not at all til you hack it to update. Pass on this one.& if this is how one simple device works, i'm sure not gonna subject myself to a glitchy home automation system!😮💨🥺
