The Graco Simple Sway Swing is a fantastic choice for parents seeking a calming solution for their little ones. Its compact design makes it ideal for smaller spaces, while the gentle swaying motion effectively soothes babies. The swing features multiple speed settings, allowing customization to suit your baby’s preferences. With a plush seat and removable head support, comfort is prioritized, and the washable fabrics are a plus for easy maintenance. Additionally, the built-in nature sounds and music provide further entertainment and relaxation. However, some users may find it less suitable for larger babies as they grow. Overall, the Graco Simple Sway Swing is a reliable and convenient option for parents looking to create a serene environment for their infants.

I was a bit nervous about this product because the price was significantly lower than others like it. My worries were totally unfounded. The biggest thing I love about this is that it plugs into a wall outlet! I did not want to have to buy batteries all the time. I also like that it does have the option to run it on batteries in case you do want to use that option. I want to address some of the biggest complaints I've seen in the reviews: 1. The swing provides little or no support for small/newborn babies -- I can't she'd much light on this because we bought it for our 14lb 5 month old who sits just fine in it. However, I can say that the padded head support is thin and doesn't look like it would support a tiny baby. 2. However, I can say that the padded head support is thin and doesn't look like it would support a tiny baby. 2. The swing speed is extremely slow or barely moves for heavier babies -- this concerned me because well, if the swing doesn't swing, what's the point? My son is currently 14lbs which some reviewers said this swing would not support. Our swing has no problems swinging my son's weight. Sometimes it does seem to start a little slow when you crank up the speed but I simply give it a little swing myself and it picks right up at that speed and continues it. It had no problems starting and maintaining lower speeds. 3. It is very loud when swinging -- some reviewers said that this swing was so loud that it drove them mad and they had to turn it off. In my experience, unless you're extremely sensitive to sound, the clicking and whirring noise shouldn't be a bother at all. It's the same noise that every swing I've ever seen makes. I can't help but wonder if some people had recieved swings with defective motors if they were that loud? 4. The music is horrid and obnoxious -- even the 4 and 5 star reviews mentioned how bad the music was. We have a baby chair that makes the most ob noxious, high pitched sound when the toy is pulled (we don't pull the toy haha) so I was kind of expecting the swing music to be like that. I wasn't planning on using the music feature just because of how bad people said it was. Well, I checked it out after we set it up and I was pleasantly surprised! I actually like the music! I find it very calming and not obnoxious at all. Both me and baby fall asleep with it on. But, if by chance you fall into the camp that finds the music insufferable, just know that you can leave it off and turn it off with just the push of a button. 5. The mobile doesn't spin -- this is true. The mobile just hangs on the swing there is no movement to it. Yes, it would be nice if the mobile spun to keep the baby's attention (my son doesn't seem to care at all about the non moving mobile) but for the price, I can't complain! Overall, I would definitely recommend this swing! It's budget friendly, doesn't take up a ton of space, is easy to assemble and it keeps baby happy!

Ok let me start by saying I would give my left arm to make sure I never have to go another day of raising an infant without this thing. All the reviews that are saying negative things, they are just chronic complainers because there is nothing bad to say about this. It's so reasonably priced, it doesn't take up too much space, colors are nice and neutral if you are one of those weirdos who has to have baby items that match your decor. But even if it weren't any of those things, I wouldn't even care because this is the only way I can put my baby down and take a dump without having to squeeze it out and not wipe good enough. It doesn't make a squeaking noise, nor can I hear gears going unless I have my ear up against it even on the highest setting. I have been using this for one day and I can truly say it has changed my life. My baby sleeps great at night but fights every single nap and wants to sleep only in my arms. This thing was easy to put together and those who said it wasn't probably just suck at putting things together. The instructions were crystal clear. If I have to be a complainer for other people's sake who would like to know, the material could be softer/better quality and I would love if I didn't NEED batteries for the vibrating function. Only the music/swinging work with the plug. But who cares seriously, get this when your baby is BORN don't wait 7 weeks like I did. You will not regret.

They are a couple facts which are great about this swing and that would be the ability to use it as a swing from side to side or the use as a classic swing front to back. I also really like the fact you can use it with batteries or plug it in to a wall outlet. Also the 6 swinging pace settings are cool, so you can decide the speed. Now let's go to the cons: one big issue is the description of age recommendation, often people would buy baby items regarding their age and not weight, more likely so if people buy gifts for a baby, they do look for age and not weight recommendation. Now with this swing rocker they give you the weight and stating the age as under 24 months. That could be everything between newborn to 1 year obviously. Now with this swing rocker they give you the weight and stating the age as under 24 months. That could be everything between newborn to 1 year obviously. I do realize that weight and size of babies is not standard, every baby is different then the other. My Baby just turned 5 months and he is now more likely to tall for the swing. Probably in couple weeks he won't be able to use it anymore. The 5 point harness starts to get an issue too, since there is no adjustment possible to go higher over his shoulders. The little part of the belt between the legs is too short as well and it becomes to a problem to strap him in. The other thing is the vibration which is so loud like a jackhammer, there is no way you can be close to that swing while using the vibration mode, I'm not sure how that can be soothing although if babies like white noise, they surely have it with this vibration which actually would replace the white noise of the natures sounds, because they are barely audible even in the quietest place without usage of the "jackhammer" selection. Let's talk about the 10 melodies you can choose from. The only thing I can talk about is the fact that basically all 10 melodies are psychedelic and not a good selection for a baby device. After couple minutes listening to it, I could climb my walls. The mobile which is fixed (does not turn) with the 3 polar bear's overhead seams to be like an add on just to put something there, so it wouldn't be so empty. The selection of 3 exact same bear's didn't require a lot of fantasy, so it's kind of a decoration, but I'm not sure what kind of imaginary development of a baby that should support.
This is a wonderful, compact swing set. I was seeking for a swing that could hold a larger maximum weight because my child has a stocky build. The previous one that we had, which was a different brand, does not even come close to fitting her as well as this one does. The seat is comfortable and somewhat roomy. It appears like she has no trouble moving around in it. She is seated in a reclined position, but she is not totally flat on her back. The songs are of very high quality. It features actual pieces of classical music, as opposed to the typical electronic xylophone or whatever else you may like to name it that a lot of the baby products have. The swinging is effective, and she enjoys the vibration in her body. There are only two things that I don't like about it: first, the mobile doesn't rotate. There is no movement whatsoever.
This product is quite basic. I have owned others in the past that had more functions and were overall better built and more solid. Considering the price and all factors, I would buy it again. However, this is not "the best" product ever. It does work as described and my baby boy loves it! Pros: - Safe - Runs on "wall" power for the swing function (battery for vibration) - Nice look and very simple to use - Music/sounds are nice and have volume control - If it gets messy, you can take it apart and clean the fabric materials Cons: - Sometimes the dial to set the swing speed does not work properly. It often takes fine adjustments to get it to stay on. - The frame that holds up the swing can make a lot of random and high-pitched noises. It does not bother our baby, and the noise comes and goes.
Not loving it. My main issue is the seat position and lack of newborn support. We had the old graco sense2soothe with our first baby and we loved it. It took up less floor space and adjusted based on the baby’s movements. It stopped working shortly after our second was born and bc they no longer make it, I ordered this model. Our baby flops side to side in this swing and the back sits up higher. Instead of tilting back at a comfortable angle her head is pushed forward. I had to get the pads out of our old swing just to make this one work. The seat back needs improvement and they definitely should have included more removable padding than the dinky headrest. The removable bouncer is a nice feature but I’d buy a separate bouncer if I could get the old sense2soothe ... MoreNot loving it. My main issue is the seat position and lack of newborn support. Bigger footprint than the reviews/description let on. It's not what I would call easy to move from room to room but it can certainly be moved. You'll need at least a 4x4 foot square of space for the base in reality. The lowest setting for the swing is still pretty fast imo. My newborns head was being thrown from side to side on setting 1 and the base was lifting slightly from the ground on setting 2 so we haven't dared try the higher settings. We ended up having to buy an insert to support her head until she grows. Otherwise we like the shape of the chair. It holds her in a nice position and is very plush. I love the muted colors. I can't stand the bright plastic toys they make for kids these days. This is much less of an eyesore. The vibration feature requires ... MoreBigger footprint than the reviews/description let on. I bought this swing wanting something simple. I anticipated little head support when looking at the picture prior to purchase but there is NO head support at all and the way it sits up makes it almost impossible to safely use with a newborn. The real nightmare began the moment it was taken out of the box! One of the snaps to hold the cover over the swing was bent and would not secure. Upon first use the music button stuck and wouldn’t play music you literally have to hit the button to get it to work. There have been several occasions where the swing will stop and a high pitched noise will sound until you completely unplug it from the wall and that’s if you can get it to work at all! Everything will be plugged in and it just won’t work but you can come back an hour ... MoreI bought this swing wanting something simple.
