Grand Theft Auto Trilogy

Firstly the delivery was fast, I got it the following day which was a surprise and ShopTo were great throughout the process. No problems there.As for the games, I grew up playing the older GTA games so a glossy image of what the trilogy games look like will never be met. The games are a product of their time and you can see the making of GTA V in each one of the trilogy. I've played all of these games when they came out on the PS2. I know the game had a lot of bugs but the 1.0.6 version is much better than what I was expecting. I tried Vice city (maybe 15-20hours) and briefly played San Andreas (1-2h) and I haven't perceived any real slow downs or bugs. I noticed a strange filter around the vehicles but nothing that really bothers. I feel the game playes better than the old ones and are looking pretty good on the handheld mode of the switch (best part are the fast loadings (San Andreas was really annoying on the PS2). I recommend anyone who might be hesitating to get it. Brings Back Memories

I love these games. I've been playing non-stop San Andreas since I got it. Next is Vice City. These games have so much play it's ridiculous. For someone like me who doesn't like online gaming its perfect. You can't beat the value of getting 3 games in one. Fast shipping. I'm completely satisfied. My top games.

Great 3 games for a great price, bargain

I had read bad reviews about this when it first came out so held off. Read reviews based on a year later and I decied to buy it, Found this cheap 3 games for 16 bargain., Ok some of the graphics are still blocky but that is to be expected considering where this game came, i.e. the age etc. It plays well, the controls feel much better than the original. It feels better playing the game and using R1 to drive etc. I am already 1/3 of the way through the game and I am really enjoying playing it. The music is great, the chat from the npc's is hillarious. So glad I finally decided to get this game a year after release. If your a fan of the original 3 get this. Great Game - Bad port

Game is still plagued with bugs, slow frame rates, compressed audio and low resolution graphics. Unfortunately the wait for a (delayed) physical version didn't pay off. There's no new patch for the physical release. Last year's patch is still the only one available. Although many bugs were fixed, the current state of the game on doesn't justify your money. By the way not all games are included you still have to download a considerable amount of data from the e-shop. It's a shame Rock Star and the third party developer didnt deliver the game fans were hoping for. GTA fans deserved better than the current mess.

Great so far!

I am enjoying the game but be prepared for TOUGH missions. You end up dying or failing and having to repeat them over and over and over until you finally finish the mission. I am not kidding be prepared for tough missions. I hope you like a challenge. Other than that I am enjoying the game. I would just like to warn buyers again that some of the missions can get pretty frustrating. If you do not like hard games do not buy this one.

Ignore The Reviews

I don't know whether I'm just mellowing as I get older but I love this collection. They could have just updated the controls and I would have been happy. These are not new games, they feel dated, I'm just grateful to be able to play them on modern hardware. If you want a nostalgia trip then go for it cannot recommend it enough, if you want to pick holes in every glitch or wonky texture or poor character model then go for it. The game has crashed twice on me, but that's no more than what every other game has done in the last 10 years. This game has been patched recently, I think it runs great, the odd bit of slow down, vastly improved load times compared to the slog it was on PS2. It's fine

Many of the patches have been released and fixed a lot of the bugs and glitches. There are still issues, but honestly, it doesn't seem to be worse than the original PS2 game. The missions are also MUCH easier and actually passable on the first try, which is awesome. Review of NINTENDO SWITCH GTA The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition

Good Points: 3 classic games included in 1. Ability to play on the go and on the big screen. First portable console to receive these titles.Improvement Points: Some bugs still need fixing, especially the white bar/flicker at the bottom of the screen on each game. If you look hard you will find bugs but the games are playable. The price is not really justified due to the overall finish of the games, had they been polished and tested before release would have made this re-release multi-title even better.

The later GTA games might be better on paper but it’s always these titles I come back to.Re: the Switch port - I have noticed some glitches in the games although not enough to ruin my enjoyment. The graphics are a noticeable improvement over the original games, although they’re obviously not on a GTA V level. There’s a few songs missing from the soundtracks so be aware of this if you want to relive the experience of said originals.Out of the three, San Andreas has the best map but Vice City has the best song list and storyline.
