The wax was easy to apply, was absorbed into the boot well. I gave my old neglected boots four sparingly thin coats over the course of a week, went a bit heavier on the stitching. I let them sit a day between coats, lightly buffing before applying the next. The water just runs off them now. I've pre-treated my new boots as well. Note, my old boots are now slightly darker in colour, but who cares. My feet ate dry and the leather is fed and supple. Going to do my bush hat next.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Used it for my motorcycle boots. Easy to apply, keeps my feet dry. Don't be under any misapprehension, what ever you do, you will never fully waterproof leather footwear. But, this comes very very close. If you think about it, riding a motorcycle in the heavy rain, it's like having your feet pressure washed, this is the best wax I have found.

Most boot stuff makers don't want to tell you what is in it. Those that do admit to some kind of oil or wax. During my research I found a lot of boot stuff was beeswax based so I went for this product because it's beeswax based and it's a reasonable price. I've done my brand new boots with it and they look fine. A little darker but I'm not interested in the colour. I'm sure a couple more applications will waterproof my boots. There's plenty left in the tin.

For many years I was using leather waxes from Zamberlan and Hanwag, mostly with OK only results. This time I decided to try something new and with very limited option/selection, G-Wax was my choice.I am really impressed with this wax, grear longevity, easy to apply, leather seems to be protected from elements for long time.
Purchased this for use on leather hiking boots. Applied as per instructions on the tin, immediately saw an improvement in the boots appearance, look almost like new. And yes the boots did come out a little darker which is what I would expect when applying a natural wax product. Have only done the 1 x walk since applying and that was in the Yorkshire Dales, part of which was boggy. The water was noticeably repelled by the wax. . The tin is 80gms which is almost twice the size of an ordinary tin of shoe polish. It goes a long way, and at the price paid, it's a bargain. Would definitely recommend and will be buying more - and it's British.
Very easy to work into both smooth and rough leather, and a little seems to go a long way. Gave my walking boots two good coats and my Australian type leather hat one, without making much of an impact on the tins contents. Both tested the following day and found to be 100% waterproof. Although the wax is clear (Vaseline colour), it does have a slight darkening effect on the leather. But as I just wanted a easy waterproofing solution for my boots this wasn't an issue.
Tried this on my Blundstones after washing them with saddle soap and treating them with an oil conditioner. This product feels waxy not oily and was easiest to apply a small amount at a time with my hands. I waited a couple days for it to dry before adding another layer, as it suggests. They look great, are shiny, and waterproof. The white wax did show up in the creases after wearing them for the first time after treatment as the wax coat broke but can be rubbed back in. So far, I prefer this to Nikwax.
I had a similar product from Grangers before, this one seems to be thicker but worked just fine. It feels more protective when you put it on, and prevents your shoe from wet effectively. I tested it by walking with rain jacket in a 10mm/hr rain and my shoes were dry. The only down side is it leaves a slight yellow tone on your black shoe.
This product works as advertised. I applied the wax as my first waterproof treatment to my leather boots and I am not disappointed. I applied the first coat over a month ago, and as directed, I will apply another light coat to keep the waterproof seal strong.
After many months of hunting round for a good pair of walking shoes, I finally found exactly the right pair. I searched the internet and found this Granger's G - Wax. This is the ideal wax to protect my shoes on my daily walk with our dog along our long sandy beach. We'll worth the money.
