Greenies Original Petite Dental Dog Treat

I purchased these because we struggle with our two dogs and brushing their teeth, they just don’t like it. I saw that Greenies had amazing reviews so that’s what helped me decide. My dog Cleo ate it up. She’s a Rottweiler, and will literally eat ANYTHING (except lettuce haha) She eats ate hers right by my feet. Her smell test after…hmm not bad. Now for Boomer, his breath would make a baby cry. He’s always sleeping, so I joke and say he’s more like a cat. So it has to be like a permanent morning breath for him. He gently takes the Greenie from my hand and walks to his bed to eat it. A few min later he comes to me wagging his tail-so I take that as he liked it. I do the smell test on his breath…it still smells like trash can in the middle of a hot summer day. I suppose Greenies work as well as where your dogs breath starts out and then with continued use, it can get fresher and fresher. But, continued use is the problem for my buddy Boomer. You see, that evening and through the night, he kept on asking me to let him out to go outside because he had diarrhea. I kept the box of Greenies and would give one to Cleo whenever her breath needed it and Boomer wasn’t looking (he’s deaf, so it’s super easy to sneak around him LOL) But, another time since Boomer’s initial tasting, a family member gave him a Greenie (not knowing that he couldn’t eat them) and his poor stomach was just as upset. So Greenies are a win for Cleo’s breath, not so much for Boomer. I’m thinking his stomach is just sensitive to a particular ingredient. I haven’t experimented with anything else for his breath since, but I will eventually. If your dog does not have a sensitive stomach, I’d say give these a try. Maybe try a small box at first, not go crazy with a value size until you know how your dog likes them.

These Greenies dental dog treats are my Chihuahua’s favorite. I have been giving her this brand since she was just a puppy and she took to it immediacy, never had a problem with her not wanting to eat it. Having tried several of the Greenis line of treats, this one seems to be the one she likes to eat the most. I also prefer this variety over the others as well. I personally prefer the bag greenies over the box greenies because the bag is easier to open and close and keeps the treats fresh. Every morning she is by the pantry patiently waiting for her greenie treat. When I give it to her, she gives me her paw, takes the treat, and runs away with it to our bedroom. For an 8-year-old Chihuahua she has great teeth and gums and I contribute that to the Greenies. I do brush her teeth and use a dental spray but this treat is what makes her teeth stay healthy. We have never had a problem with any of her dental checkups and she always gets an A+ bill of health. These treats are very tiny which is perfect for smaller dogs. They do a great job keeping her teeth and gums cleaned also, she does not have bad breath. Her breath has never been an issue and that is because her teeth are in great shape. Brushing and dental cleanings have also helped throughout the years but, this treat has been the best in-between maintenance. My vet has a store attached to his practice and keeps Greenies stocked on a regular basis. I prefer to purchase my bags from Amazon, you just can’t beat the price. It’s never too late to start with these treats. A dog can be a puppy or an adult and these treats will help reduce tarter buildup. I will continue to purchase these Greenies because I know it works for her. I would recommend this brand to any dog owner that is interested in purchasing this item.

I love DOGS!! For three years & counting, my family & I have had 2 wonderful dogs share our lives and we love them so much. It's expensive compared to other dental chews, but I can't put a price on my dogs. These are the only ones that seemed to work that they like. I've also noticed some supply issues lately where it can be a pain to find them in the regular size.But most importantly, my dogs love their Greenies. Every morning after their go outside they know it's Greenie time. They walk over to the pantry and keep their eyes focused on it. Once I open it up and grab the bag they start tippy-tapping in excitement and each take a Greenie to their doggie beds and chew it up!

My dogs love these!

I really like that these come in 3 different flavors! I have 2 dogs and one has stinky breath. The Fresh flavor is perfect and really helps clean and freshen his mouth. My other dog is a blueberry lover and gets so excited when I open the bag of Greenies! They both love the Original flavor, too.I love that this helps to clean their teeth and gives them something to chew that won’t hurt their teeth. My ShihTzu/Bichon broke a molar on an antler & I’m hesitant to give him anything hard to chew on. Greenies are perfect and have just the right amount of resistance to keep him occupied.

Small dog size; mine love them; removed plaque

After treating my 2 small 10-year-old dogs, a 7 lb. Heinz 57 ball of fluff and an 11 lb. wirehaired dachshund, to a Greenie a day for the past 2 and a half weeks, I am amazed. Victoria often has bad breath and had been to our vet a month ago, who suggested she have her teeth cleaned again. Brownie’s teeth also had so much brown plaque that we were going to schedule her for a cleaning as well. Today, as shown in the photos, the brown plaque is gone, showing only the typical teeth for dogs of their age. Both Victoria and Brownie love the sweet potato flavor and the texture of these Greenies, and both have yea-go-ahead-and-lick-my-face fresh breath again. Teenie size Greenies are now permanently on my shopping list.

Wish they were grain free…

I have 2 dogs. My Puggle usually eats EVERYTHING! She eats her own feces, for Pete’s sake! When I’ve given her Greenies of different flavors in the past, she devoured them, yet with sweet potato, she hesitantly sniffed at it for several seconds before giving it a chance. She does eat them, but a lot more slowly and unenthusiastically than usual. My other dog, a Beagle who also eats everything, devours sweet potato Greenies in a few chews!I was disappointed to see that flour and wheat gluten are two of the first three ingredients. Although my dogs haven’t tested as allergic to wheat, wheat has no benefit to dogs other than serving as a filler, and dogs can become allergic to wheat as they get older. My point is, I would rather have grain free treat for my pets.

I gave them a Greenies treat and they took it and started chewing it instantly. I was worried they would just play with it and not actually eat it because they've done that with other treats.
