Greenies Smartbites Treats for Cats, Tuna Flavor, Healthy Indoor, Value Size - 454 g

My rescued cat at 8.5 years old still has separation anxiety so it was so heartbreaking for me every morning when I’d leave for work. I’ve tried many things and found a few helpful solutions, the best being THESE greenies treats. I read to distract her with a treat as I leave so wanted something healthy that she’d enjoy that I didn’t worry giving her every morning. Since I heard greenies are healthy, I tried a package of these and OMG…. She LOVES them!!! So, I now order the large containers of these (note the regular greenies she’ll eat but she loves this crunchy variety) as I give her some every morning when I leave for work. So, these are not only lived by my fur baby but so lived by me for blessings us both in helping her with her anxiety as I transition to leave. I always order another container when I open the last one so we never run out. She actually jumps up on my bed as I put on my shoes these days excitedly waiting for her greenies… praise God her desperate anxious meowing has been replaced with excitement for me to give her greenies as I leave. She still greats me at the door purring like crazy when I get home so eager to be cuddled but her anxiety has been significantly reduced … as long as we don’t run out of greenies. 😊

Do what they say and cat likes them

My dsh tiger kitty has always had skin issues. Allergic to fleas or something in the past and especially from anxiety. She wasn’t socialized properly during those couple critical weeks as a kitten because she was born wild in the woods before found and brought to a humane society for adoption. She is bonded to me, which is wonderful! However she still has experiences anxiety at times. Ex. When someone comes to visit, she sees a neighborhood cat outside etc then she starts to itch like crazy causing tons of scabs. We address the anxiety, but to help with the skin she has a diet of sensitive skin/stomach cat food as well as these treats and it has helped aid in preventing the itching SO MUCH. Definitely don’t listen to the directions on the package. Yikes that’s a TON of treats. I only give my cat 2-4/day max. Usually only 2.

Even royalty loves Greenies.

Both my kitties enjoy treats; however my female Persian (aka princess - not her name - her attitude) will only eat Greenies. I should clarify that she will eat other treats, at first, but she runs to Greenies. My kitties are trained to respond to a bell in addition to their names. Yet if the treat is not Greenies she gives me a look of disbelief and loathing - a princess has standards after all. Ive tried several flavors of Greenies and she has responded favorably to all, so far. So why four stars? The packaging. The last few plastic container lids have not remained secured - they have fallen off when pouring out a few treats. Ive had to place treats in ziplocks to store and keep fresh. Make of this what you will: My cats like these treats. My elderly cat almost never used to eat treats, especially not hard treats. But now, I can’t open a plastic bag of similar size without starting a frenzy; when I open drawers where the treats once were, the cats wake from deep slumbers to stalk my movements expectedly (it doesn’t help to constantly change the location of said treats… they remember every single one…). So if you want to treat your special feline: I highly recommend. If you want the ability to open a bag of trail mix or fun-size potato chips without getting stared down, you might rethink.

Not Hairball Control

I have read from the responses that 'Healthy Indoor' is claimed to be the same as 'Hairball Control'.My cat has thrown up hairballs ever since the formula changed, whilst they were taking the 'hairball control' they did not throw up at all.I am sure 'Healthy indoor' is a good treat for indoor cats but it does nothing for hairballs.I don't know what happened with the formula change but please reconsider bringing 'Hairball Control' back, as you have a loyal number of cat owners who would be very grateful!

RATHER CONCERNED

I have a tub of the "hairball control" greenies that expires at the end of next month. I called Greenies customer service line sometime in the last few weeks, and was reassured by the rep that it was just a "marketing decision" to change the name, yet it was still the same? I have the "new formula" and have not opened it yet, and after reading reviews of the "new formula" - I am wondering if it is going to address the "hairball issue?" My cat has inflammatory bowel disease and is already on a very special diet of gastrointestinal food, but these treats were working wonders in controlling her hairballs for "overgrooming" from time to time, and helping to control the vomiting, at least from the "hairballs" (not from other digestive issues?). I thought I had found the "perfect" mix of the greenies hairball pill pockets for her medicine, and giving her the "greenie hairball control treats"? She goes "crazy" over both greenies treats and does not even realize they are "good for her!?" Now I am worried the vomiting will come back from the hairballs with the new formula!? I know some cat food companies make a "hairball control" food, but I cannot put her on those due to her "special diet" that addresses her other digestive issues. The treats were a "perfect" addition to help address that issue. Please consider bringing back the original formula? LIKE ASAP!

Hello guys! My cat only eats hairball treat from Greenies. And i didnt know they changed the packaging in January...i literally went everywhere - petco, walmart, target, smiths, amazon....and i thought i just couldnt find it because of all this inflation and pandemic. But you know!!!! I found out it is actually has the same ingredients as the old hairball treats! I wish they wrote "new look" somewhere but im not sure if it was their intention to not to write that. But anyways, it is a great product. My cat loves the flavor (hes been eating it for 13 yrs), it helps his digestive system and also harball situation.My cat only takes dental treats from Greenies, he loves the tuna flavor but it is hard to find lol. Signs of aspiration pneumonia or lung damage.

Initially, my cat went crazy for these treats. But now, I regret deeply feeding these treats to my cat. The first day my cat ate the treats without vomiting. The morning after, I found vomit but thought it may be a part of the process. 2nd day He vomited all the treats fed to him and stopped eating his regular food. By the 3rd day, he was no longer meowing, no longer drinking water and sleeping more often than usual. He makes gurgling sounds as he purrs and struggles to breathe. I can only get him to sap the liquids from his wet food cans. He’s lost about 2-3lbs the past few days. It’s been about 8 days since he first had these treats. Please read all 1 star reviews from various sites. Chewy, Amazon, Google, Amazon, etc... I am devastated and I am praying my cat lives through the affects these treats have had on him. Please do not feed your cats these treats. It’s not worth the risk that you may end up in the small percentage of situations where your perfectly healthy cat may experience these side effects.

Stray Approved

My cat Gandalf was a stray and cat food or treats aren’t his preference at all. Unless you have people snacks for a treat he wasn’t at all interested. Since I now have him, I wanted to find anything I could that would also be beneficial for him. He scoffed at every treat I bought to include some of the softer more expensive ones. I bought a pack of Greenies just as the next assumed failure in line. To my shock I couldn’t get the treats out of the little pouch fast enough. When I thought he had enough I put it up and he found it. The packaging didn’t stand a chance. So we have graduated to the larger plastic tubs that I have to hide inside another plastic tub with a screw top. Yes

So I originally started giving my cat the indoor greenies to help with the hair balls and they work 100% so I decided I’d throw some of these in her diet for a different flavor and to see what it does. She already had nice fur but after some time giving her these her fur is just GEORGIOUS! And SOOOOO SOFT! Plus I don’t even give her the full 18 a day for 10lb cat just because she’s already eating 18 a day of the indoor treats and we like to give her some other flavored treats here and there so we only give her 12 a day and omg you need this for your baby. So pleased
