We have an awful electric oven and our previous pans always seemed to heat unevenly and were never very easy to clean after use despite being good quality pans. Very easy to clean and comes up like new every time. It is also a nice weight, not too heavy that you struggle to lift it but not too light that it feels cheap and poor quality. The pan heats up nice and quickly and the even heat distribution across the pan means that your food cooks evenly too.I would say that I have only been using this pan for a few weeks so I can't comment on the longevity of the non-stick coating but, so far, the non-stick interior has been great, even when using very little oil. This frying pan is excellent. The non stick works very well and made cooking in it so easy.The 26cm size is a perfect size for a family or an individual as there is plenty of room in the pan to cook multiple items. The frying pan also sits well on all hob burners and gave an even cook.This pan can also go straight into the oven (just remember to use oven gloves). It is easy to wash by hand, I never wash my pans in the dishwasher but believe this can be put in the dishwasher. It would be perfect if it had a lid.This is an excellent pan which takes all the effort out of cooking with ease.
I'm very conscious about the chemicals used in non-stick pans and tried to get the hang of cast iron but end up with food stuck to the bottom. The Green Pan is PFAS free and I was really keen to try it out for health and convenience. It's a nice light pan with a strong handle. The non-stick works well, young son managed to make scrambled eggs without oil and it came off the pan very easily. The packaging recommends hand washing to preserve but we have put it in the dishwasher and it comes out fine. It's not aesthetically pleasing like some of the other ceramic cook wear available but it's practical and claims to be safe. I will look to buy some of the other non-stick products in the range.
this is a great size frying pan, with edges high enough that oil doesn't splatter everywhere over your cooker and counter tops. the non stick is very efficient and i would definitely look further to the other pieces in the range. its isn't that great for crisping up a fried egg because of the thickness of the ceramic pan, but for cooking meats it is great and holds heat very evenly. i can see myself using this pan for a very long time if i care for it and hand wash it properly after each use. it has a lovely classic look which looks good in my kitchen and i feel i even can bring to the table to serve immediately without looking crass. it's very good weight and feels very sturdy, and is a joy to clean.
After reading two excellent blogs and over a hundred scathing reviews, I trusted my gut and purchased the healthiest cookware on the market.IT'S AWESOME, folks that gave awful reviews either mustn't know how to cook or are just too impatient to cook on low to medium settings as the product advises. I have used this pan almost ten times, well over the mark for bad reviews and it's still the perfect pan, like new. I have reheated mac n cheeze, steamed vegetables, tofu, rice etc with no oil, only a small amount of water and used a small amount of olive oil on the two occasions I have cooked pikelets.It does take a few extra minutes to heat up compared to the pan I used before, but I purchased this product for health reasons and I won't go back for the sake of a few ... The handle doesn't get hot and my food has no plastic residue.I will be purchasing further products from GreenPan, I only ordered a fry pan and a stock pot originally in case the reviews were true.
