A year of use, I'm not impressed

I have had this pan for a year. I have a family of 6 and I cook 2 to 4 times a day depending on the time of year and which sports my kids are in. The pan is average pan. It's non-stick costing lasts about 6 to 8 months. And that's with me hand washing it with the special sponge. It a good size and not too heavy. The heat distribution it not even so there are hot zones. All in all an average pan and in my opinion the price point does not reflect the advertised qualities of the pan.

Better than great!

There is nothing on the market better than a Green Pan. I am saving my money to buy more pieces. I'm never buying teflon again. Cooking is slick. Sits flat on an electric burner. Does not warp. High quality. Washing is easy. No scratches. Virtually no oil needed. I've tried it all from fried eggs to stir fry to hamburgers to pasta sauce. Go for it.

Excellent Addition To The Kitchen!

Recently started using the Chatham - Chatham Ceramic Nonstick 11" Fryer and this pan is absolutely fantastic. I really enjoy cooking with it I find it to heat very evenly and had no problem controlling the heat. The ceramic coating is great clean up is a breeze. I hand wash it but did read that it is dishwasher safe. The design is great… handle is the perfect length. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family!

Excellent pan!

This is an excellent nonstick frying pan. It works as advertised, the food glides right out. It heats up quick & cook foods evenly. The 12” is a perfect size for cooking a family meal. Once done, pan is extremely easy to clean. Since food doesn’t stick, you can quickly rinse and wipe clean, or you can just stick it in the dishwasher. The handle is made of stainless steel so the whole frying pan is oven safe. I love the convenience of just being able to transfer the pan from cooking on stove top and putting it straight into the oven. It notated that the pan is also METAL UTENSIL SAFE, which is a plus.

Great Design and Quality!

For a few years, I've been using non sticks. We cook a lot at our house, therefore the nonstick pans get a lot of usage. While using this pan thingss were going well at first, but after a week, things started to fall apart. I know the instructions recommend to use a melamine sponge to try to remove any burnt-on material, but I don't think it should be necessary. In the morning, I can't cook my eggs without them sticking together.I've probably owned well over a dozen different pans of various sizes over the years. Each of these pans was from a different manufacturer. I constantly replaced the prior pans with a new brand because none of them ever performed well for me. In the morning, I can't cook my eggs without them sticking together.I've probably owned well over a dozen different pans of various sizes over the years. Each of these pans was from a different manufacturer. I constantly replaced the prior pans with a new brand because none of them ever performed well for me. The finest of them only lasted a few years since I was too cheap at the time to go out and buy another. None of those pans possessed a long-lasting non-stick surface. Most people can tell the difference between nonstick cookware and cast iron or stainless steel pans. The problem is that I believe many of us continue to treat them in the same manner. The majority of the time, we subject them to extreme heat. If you want your non-stick pans to last, you can't do that.In my experience, many pans do not heat evenly. In my experience, the most of them did not. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of this until they have used a pan that does. It's one of the reasons why, even if a non-stick pan would be superior, I'll choose a stainless steel or cast iron pan for a particular meal. These GreenPan Chathams have the most even heat dispersion of any non-stick pan I've ever seen. Foods simply cook more efficiently.Cleaning a nonstick pan should be a red indicator, as discussed previously. If you don't heat these pans for an extended period of time and let them cool before cleaning, and use enough butter or cooking oil, it's extremely likely that they'll just wipe clean with a dry paper towel. This is what I do the majority of the time. I merely use a damp sponge (soft side only) and a little soap with warm water if I need more. With this pan, you should never have to do more than that. If you do, you're probably cooking at too high a temperature for too long and/or with insufficient cooking oil. That says a lot about this pan because it can withstand higher temperatures than non-stick pans I've used in the past. This is a very very good non-stick pan. The riveted handle is solid and I like never having to tighten the handle. For most things I use it for, the steel handle never gets so hot that I need a pot holder - but on occasion it does. The non-stick non-teflon surface is just excellent and really really durable. This is the best non-stick pan I have ever owned.I can't recommend these pans enough if you want a high-quality non-stick pan. They should function well and endure a long time if properly cared for.

Great non stick ceramic
21 November 2022

I have other Green Pans so I am familiar with their greatness, and also how you can ruin them. This pan is a great size and the non stick ceramic is slick and ridiculously easy to clean. The first 2 uses of this pan were to brown meatballs and to precook pork chops to go in the crockpot for a meal. As I expected, nothing stuck to the pan and I used a wet paper towel to wipe everything up while the pan was still hot. Then a quick hand wash. If you’re not familiar with these pans, here are a few tips: do not use any cooking sprays, only butter or oil. Do not get this pan super hot. My first green pan was ruined when my husband fried an egg in butter and scorched the butter in the pan. I couldn’t get it clean no matter how hard I scrubbed or how much Dawn I used. My first green pan was ruined when my husband fried an egg in butter and scorched the butter in the pan. I couldn’t get it clean no matter how hard I scrubbed or how much Dawn I used. So I used Bar Keepers Friend which “cleaned” the pan but ruined the nonstick surface. I bought those Green Pan renewing sponges but the pan was ruined and I had to throw it out. For cleaning- it may say dishwasher safe but I don’t recommend it. Dishwasher detergent is very harsh. All your nonstick pans, ceramic or not, will last much longer if you hand wash them. It’s a quick and easy wash because nothing sticks. After hand washing, take a paper towel with a little oil and very lightly go around the pan to gently coat before putting away. This will help keep the surface nonstick. Use wood, or nylon/heat safe plastic utensils, not metal, to help prevent scratches. I like this line of green pan because the handle is a solid metal which feels very sturdy and high end and the pan can go in the oven, although I don’t use it for that. Highly recommend.

Lasted <6 months

Terrible quality! I've been using this pan for a few months now and it has completely deteriorated DESPITE following all of the instructions around heating, oils to use, proper ways to care for the pan, etc. I have never had a pan deteriorate like this, and customer service was not useful whatsoever. I am so disappointed in this company and would never recommend. My previous set of pans lasted over 7 years and this one lasted me a few months. Horrible.

Love it
20 December 2022

I’ve been using the GreenPan Chatham 12-inch Frypan for about a month now, and so far, I enjoy it very much. This frypan is very well made and is not too heavy. I love how it has a nonstick surface and spreads the heat evenly throughout the pan. One of my concerns was the metal handle. In the past, I had some pans where the handle warmed up along with the pan, and this is not the case with the GreenPan frypan. The handle stays cool all the time. This pan is effortless to wash, and after a month, it still looks like new. I would recommend it.

My new favorite pan!!
3 January 2023

I was skeptical bc every time I get non stick I end up messing it up with metal or it’s not really nonstick and my food sticks to the bottom. I tried cooking corned beef in it with no oil just to see if it stood up to its name and it did!! It gave the corned beef a nice crust but didn’t stick! I was floored! I even used my metal spatula and scraped the pan on purpose bc I’ma gremlin and it didn’t scratch!! I’m very pleased and would definitely recommend!

NON-STICK ALL THE WAY!!!

I was fairly reluctant when I ordered the Green Pan by Chatham, but so, so glad that I did. The first time I used it, I seared beef tips to put in the crock-pot for a meal the next night. I only used (maybe) two tablespoons of vegetable oil when searing my beef tips and not one bit stuck to this pan. (See picture.) I simply wiped out the pan with a paper towel after it cooled, then made soft fries shortly thereafter. So far, I've used this pan probably 6 - 8 times and I have not yet had anything stick to it.The pan is not heavy, but not lightweight, either. It appears to be a very durable pan. The instructions indicate to NOT use a cooking spray in the pan as it could potentially damage the finish. Also, the instructions suggest not to cook on high heat. (I found medium to just a tad above medium works best for what I have cooked thus far.) Both of these instructions, I followed. On the outer packaging, the manufacturer indicates the pan is "dishwasher safe"; however, after you remove the out packaging, the sticker on the inside says to keep clean by washing in warm, soapy water. To be safe, I have only washed mine with warm soapy water.I have been totally pleased with this pan and would definitely recommend it to others considering it for purchase.
