This pan is so nice. I have been using it a lot and it works great. It heats up well, evenly, and is completely non stick. I use it to make eggs and pancakes for my kids in the morning. I actually did not even need to use any oil to get it to be nonstick, which seems like a good healthy way of cooking. The quality feels very durable and should probably last me a long time. I have other Green Pans that are still amazing after 2 years so I am sure this one will be no different. I love the bright teal color. My kitchen has a teal theme in term of decorations, cook and bake wares, so this one is a very nice addition.

At first I loved this set. The pots and pans heated food evenly, and I never had any issues with food sticking. However, within a week of purchasing them, they began to show signs of wear despite only using silicone utensils. The handles on several of the pots and pans burned inexplicably even when using the proper sized burner and heat. The burning plastic smell is putrid, and I had to majorly adjust the placement of the pot or pan on the burner so that the handles are as far away from the flame as possible- even on low heat. This makes it basically impossible to cook food evenly, and significantly increases the cook time. I’ve been cooking for many years and have used all different kinds of cookware without any of these issues. I still thought “eh maybe it’s just ... MoreAt first I loved this set. Now I see that other folks have had a lot of the same problems, and am writing a review hoping to validate the issues that others are having with this set and to reiterate what others have said in an attempt to save potential buyers from frustration and wasting their money. I’m really disappointed in this set, because I had high hopes for this brand based on the product description and qualities boasted by the manufacturer. I only gave this set any stars at all simply because it *technically* provided a surface to cook upon (albeit a crappy surface), and because it is an attractive looking set (or at least it WAS attractive for about a week or so).

My family loves to cook. So an everyday pan is a must. We especially love nonstick pans, but hate all the chemicals that some pans have in them. I also really find the diamond-enhanced nonstick ceramic coating to work great. We’ve used this pan many times for eggs, and not once have we had them stick. With only a little bit of butter and medium to low heat, they cook up perfectly. Clean up is super quick, and the pan comes clean easily, with hardly any scrubbing. The design of this pan is nice. I really like the color, the white ceramic coating and light blue outer color is very eye catching. Also the handle shape and material is great. It is easy to hold and hasn’t ever been to hot to grasp and it feels like the handle is held onto the pan very tightly. We use a gas stove to cook on. The bottom of the pan is stamped with what cooktops are ok to use this fry pan with. It’s been around a month using this pan. I really like it and would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a great nonstick pan.

I am learning to cook more than just my few “go to” recipes. Turns out I wasn’t such a bad cook, I just never had good cookware. Not only does every recipe I try now come out great, but my old “go tos” are even better with quality pans! I have had this set for almost a year. I’ve only ever used butter or olive oil on these instead of cooking sprays, as directed. I usually hand wash them but on lazy occasions I put them in the dishwasher. I was reading some of the other reviews here and am very surprised at the amount of negative reviews. Especially the ones saying that everything sticks and burns. Especially the ones saying that everything sticks and burns. Even without oil or butter I haven’t had an issue with sticking. I follow the care instructions religiously because I love these pans and because I cannot afford to replace them. Downside: THESE PANS SCRATCH VERY EASILY! The outside bottom scratches like crazy with careful use on my gas cooktop with the burner grates. That happened on my very first use and continues today. My first GreenPan was the large multi purpose skillet type pan. I was so excited to get it and try it out and after only 1 use the cooking surface part had a scratch.I was dumbfounded because I followed all the instructions to a T. Unfortunately, it was just outside of the return policy. Even still I loved the pan so much I bought myself the whole set for Christmas a couple of months later. I continue to be very careful to avoid scratches but occasionally I do find tiny ones. For that reason I would not buy them again. Bottom line, these are great pans. They are just extremely fragile.
Don't bother with these. We have had them for only 14 months and just replaced them with something new. The pans do a great job of being nonstick, but not much else. They are stained and chipped like crazy. The insides chip off ceramic into our food and the bottoms are gunky and scraped down to the bare metal. I don't believe that any of this is user error, as we do not use any metal utensils, nothing abrasive, follow cooking instructions, etc. I replaced this set with an All-Clad stainless set today - which WON"t chip off chemicals into my food! I don't buy the term "healthy ceramic," especially when it flakes off like that. Don't waste your time!
So happy to have a Healthier way to cook!!! Having this latest Ceramic Coating is so important to keeping me healthy, even at 80 yrs old, hopefully no forever chemicals leaching into my food. One thing I really like is that it seems to take less heat, or power, to cook. I turn my electric burner to medium heat, where I used to use high. Best to warm up the pan a bit on medium before cooking, too (I find). I fry an egg every morning, and I do use a small bit of oil in the pan. I bought the red, and with the white inside, these pans brighten up my kitchen. All I can say is "Try it, you will like it." Thanks Macys for the affordable pricing.
This pan lives up to everything promised! I've cooked multiple meals of all types in this pan and nothing sticks to it. It cleans very easily. Additionally, it heats up very fast and distributes heat evenly across the entire surface. Some of my older pans of a "well-know brand" have never distributed heat evenly across the entire surface of the pan the way this one does. I always had to shift around in the pan so that the whole meal would be cooked at the same temperature. I love the aqua color and the picture is true to the color you recieve. If I had one complaint... it was not packaged well - the tip of my pan had broken through the delivery box. Thank goodness it wasn't damaged, but being exposed that much I'm surprised it wasn't at least scratched.
The Greenpan Rio Frypan is a non-stick wonder that’s my new go-to choice for making eggs of any variety. First of all, the 12-inch frying pan is LARGE and it has high sides, so you can really use it for a lot of things in the kitchen. From eggs (the obvious choice) to fried pork chops, there’s a lot you can do with this one pan and the size is perfect cooking family meals. Where the pan really shines is in the non-stick surface. Eggs fly right out of that bad boy if you’re not careful! Nothing sticks and nothing burns — it makes cooking breakfast a lot easier. The pan has a nice weight and the teal color is a nice addition to my kitchen. My only “quip” is that the package said it’s dishwasher safe on one side, but recommended handwashing on the other.. I’m not really sure what to make of that, so I’ve been hand washing it just in case. I generally hate hand washing anything, so that wasn’t the best surprise. Overall though i'm very happy with this Rio Frypan. 5 Stars!
These pans worked amazing for about 7 days. They went from "non-stick" to "non-slip" in no time at all. They became impossible to clean and impossible to cook with even when using larger quantities of oil to make up for the now sticky surface. NO amount of scrubbing, soaking, or anything in between could remove these stains. When asked for a refund, we were (rudely) told that the warranty was void because we misused the pans. Apparently we cooked things on too high of a temperature. I didn't realize they were watching us when we cooked! Funny thing is, we followed the instructions in regards to not maxing out the temp because the instructions were specific about that.Other, less infuriating issues were the lack of compatibility from lid to lid. Funny thing is, we followed the instructions in regards to not maxing out the temp because the instructions were specific about that.Other, less infuriating issues were the lack of compatibility from lid to lid. Why make the large pot and the steaming pan different size lids by like a 1/4 of an inch? So they can sell it as a 16 piece set! The handles became loose after a few uses too. Surely that wasnt a result of cooking things on too high, was it? We never went near these things with metal, and yet, using the bamboo utensils provided, there were knicks in it after only a few uses.Don't waste your money on these pans. The lowest quality pans you can get, and if they aren't satisfactory, then guess what? You have to live with it because they don't care! From now until forever, I will actively spread the word to friends and family to avoid this piece of garbage product at all costs.
Best frying pan I’ve ever owned. It’s completely nonstick, so the cleanup process is really just a rinse. It’s like cooking luxury. When your food is cooked, you can simply pour it off the pan onto your plate and nothing is stuck to the pan. I love it. The base that touches the burner is well made and nice and flat. I’ve had other pans where the base warps from the heat after a few uses, but this one is nice and sturdy. The size is also ideal, perfect large size for my large stove burner. Very happy with this pan in general. The completely non-stick coating is really amazing and another huge plus is that their pans are considered healthy, and free from bad stuff like lead, etc.
