This was my first time using a slow cooker and I was really impressed with how easy it was to use. I live with my partner and we like to cook meals from scratch quite regularly - this made it SO easy as you just put everything in one pan . It has multiple settings including a saute setting so you don't have to use a separate pan to fry the ingredients first so there was much less washing-up which is always a bonus! We've made quite a few different things in it including stews and casseroles but it's also great for roasts too - we did a lovely roast ham in it. All the food we have made has been so delicious and you can use it for so many different types of meal I can see us using this a lot! I'm really pleased with it and would recommend it highly!

I bought this a couple months ago because my 20+ year old slow cooker decided to cook no more. I had heard about the new generation of slow cookers that can sauté food before slow cooking it but had also read some negative reviews about them. So I was nervous to try this even with all the positive reviews. But I shouldn’t have worried - it’s absolutely fantastic. The pot heats to 400°F for sautéing and it does it well. Then just add everything else and set to high or low slow cook and it does the rest. I have also used the reheat feature several times and find it really useful. It’s a splurge but I think it’s worth every penny.

It's size also makes it perfect for dinner parties/cooking for lots of people, I made an 8 person dahl and then had virtual no washing up at the end! It's probably a little big for one person meals, unless you have enough freezer space to store your left overs. My favorite thing to cook in this slow cooker is a whole chicken. You sauté it at the start, then add some carrots and onions and leave it on low all day, resulting in a juicy chicken for the whole family to enjoy. I'm excited to try it's steamer and functionality given how good the sauté, slow cooking (high/low) and keeping warm functions are.

After taking the cooker out of its packaging I was a little surprised by the size as I had imagined it to be slightly smaller, but it looks and feels like quality. After quickly reading the instructions and familiarising myself with the different functions and buttons on the lovely LCD, I couldn't wait to get cooking and try it out.Pulled together some ingredients that were lying around in the fridge for a while and decided on a chicken stew for a family of four. Quickly chopped potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions, garlic, layed my chicken thighs on top and added some herbs and stock.Set the cooker to fast cook, which was for a 4hr cooking time and we all went out for the day, hoping that we would come back to a cooked meal. When we came back later that evening I was very surprised as there was hardly a smell in the kitchen, I thought something must have gone wrong but when I looked in the pot, what I saw was a gorgeous looking meal which was ready to be served up.The food was delicious and flavoursome and the non stick pan was so easy to clean, I'm now looking forward to trying all the other functions, particularly the saute and steam ones.

Great for holiday meal prep!
26 November 2022

Excellent slow cooker. I roasted/ baked Thanksgiving turkey in a cooking bag. De-boned and saved broth. I put carved turkey meat in the liner pan and covered meat in broth & froze it until Tues before Thanksgiving, then took out of freezer to thaw. After thawed Stored in refrigerator until Thanksgiving day. Then placed in cooker to reheat. I really like this slow cooker and it?s features. I especially like knowing what temperature will be reached with each of the settings.

Great slow cooker
15 December 2022

This is a great slow cooker with extra functions! In our household we're cooking for 2, and this is a really versatile size to cook things for just us 2 like this casserole, or also bigger dishes for when we have guests/we want to batch cook for future meals/freeze.The thing that sets this slow cooker apart from previous ones I've used is the searing function. Often I've found some of the tastiest looking slow cooker recipes require some pre-browning of meat or veg to lock in flavour before slow cooking for hours, and being able to do this directly in the same pan makes things easier and saves on more washing up. I found on the sear function it got up to heat very quickly so I can get that prep done quickly and then leave it on all day cooking dinner! The cooker ... MoreThis is a great slow cooker with extra functions! The removable pan is also non stick and very easy to clean!

Perfect sous chef for when you're feeling lazy
13 December 2022

This is my new favourite machine - It's the perfect appliance for lazy cooking. I've got into the habit of throwing in all of my ingredients before I go to bed and everything is cooked beautifully by the time I get up in the morning. So far made some lovely stews, casseroles and delicious chilli. Looking forward to trying out a soup recipe and given it's nearly Christmas I've found a mulled cider recipe to try too. Very easy to use, and great size for making bigger batch cooks (that you can freeze for later). It's quite bulky so one to keep in the cupboard when you're not using!

Really pleased with my slow cooker!
8 December 2022

Really enjoying making some lovely one pot wonders in my slow cooker at the moment. I've recently made some delicious warming winter dinners that are super quick to throw together which really helps as I have quite a busy schedule.I love the fact that with this slow cooker you can brown off meat / seal meat using the saute function in the same pan you do the slow cooking in - this saves time with washing up as you don't have to use any other pans. I mostly use the slow cooking 'low' setting and make something that requires a few hours of cooking. It has never overcooked any of the recipes I've tried which is great, highly recommend!

Ridiculously Short Cord
22 February 2023

This cooker has a good range of options and works well. the coating on the bowl is great and it truly is non-stick! However, space is lost with the thick square shell, the shape could be improved to allow for a larger bowl. The biggest let down is the ridiculously short power cord! This is totally impracticable and limits where I can cook as I have to be right next to a power outlet. As it is a slow cooker, an extension cord is not an option. If I had been aware that the cord was so short, I would not have purchased this item, so even though it works well I cannot recommend this product and have to reduce the rating accordingly to only two stars.

Worth the money

I have a multi-cooker I bought years ago (not the current “it” brand). It has been a good machine for what I used it for. But at over ten years old, the keypad was starting to wear through and the nonstick was wearing off, not to mention the pot was never the easiest to get out of the cooker. I finally decided to break down and get a new one. I never used the pressure cooker function, but I loved that I could brown and slow cook in the same pan. So that’s what I looked for in my new search. It came down to the greenpan and another brand. The other brand had poor reviews on the nonstick, and I’ve slweays heard great things about greenpan, so I thought I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did. It browns evenly, no sticking, and I have had no issues with the nonstick coating. ... MoreI have a multi-cooker I bought years ago (not the current “it” brand). Would highly recommend.
