My girlfriend just recently purchased this roller and it has not disappointed. She is in the process of becoming a Barre3 instructor and has been spending several hours a day working out and practicing her routine. Needless to say, her body is tired and muscles are tight. She's used this every morning/night since it arrived and she couldn't be happier. The roller has a soft foam outer shell and a hard plastic inner core giving it a comfortable feel while maintaining it's designed structure to trigger the targeted muscle group. It's an easy and convenient tool for massaging those tight areas or loosing/warming up your muscles before a workout. I definitely would recommend this product.

This is the only foam roller I’ve tried and it gave me my life back. I’m 10 weeks pregnant and started experiencing debilitating sciatic pain two weeks ago, I think due to piriformis syndrome and the relaxin hormone shifting and settling my hips. I was at wits end and could hardly walk from the debilitating nerve pain in my right butt area.I foam rolled my entire body (plus deep pigeon pose stretches) and immediately felt relief. I was in pain after but it was a different kind of pain, not nerve pain but muscle soreness. The next morning I woke up completely pain free for the first time in two weeks. So thankful and relieved. I had tried chiropractors work, which I think is also great, but in the end it was the foam rolling that did the trick!

I’ve been suffering from chronic muscle pain for the past few years. In the past, I’ve used heating pads, massagers, pain medicines and have visited physical therapists and acupuncturist to alleviate my muscle pain. Yet, I was always disappointed with the outcome as not one product solution seemed to solve my problem. However, TriggerPoint Grid 1.0 is different. It’s crafted to address body’s toughest, tightest trouble spot for relief from intense aches and pains—whether it’s a sports injury or medical complications. TriggerPoint Grid 1.0 has a three-dimensional surface that replicates the feeling of massage therapist’s hands. I've used a lot of the normal black stiff foam rollers typically provided at the gym for post-workout rollouts. I typically find those pretty stiff and only seem to workout my knots at a surface level.I used the Triggerpoint since it's smaller and easy to store at home, but was also hoping the grids would do a better job at rolling out my legs. The Trigger point definitely delivers. It provides a deeper massage than the cheap black rollers or rollers without a pattern in the foam. The grid and slightly raised parts of the Triggerpoint can also target deeper knots. If you're someone who rolls often, you might want a more pronounced pattern. I have a lower pain tolerance so this was the perfect balance of targeting my muscles without making rolling out unbearable.
I'm new to this Roller side of life. A friend had been recommending it as something that would help with before and after training (mostly running) muscle stiffness. And let me tell you, I have so much confidence in myself before each run. Knowing that I have this foam roller to help me roll out those tension areas on my legs is such a great thing. This specific one is light, compact but is able to reach all those tricky tension areas that I've been struggling with. I do wish it had a bit more rugged surfaces, but so far its been a winner.
I really wanted to love this, and did for awhile. My use case is probably different from yours. I work at a computer a lot and my main exercise is some light yoga. I wanted this for some sciatica and also upper back / neck soreness from work. It works great, but then I started waking up sore. Then I discovered that my back was bruised from the roller. Now I have to wait a few days for the bruising to heal, and now my whole back is sore which is the last thing I want. I wish this could have been covered in the product info somewhere or on the packaging...I had no idea that bruising can be common for these.
I recently discovered foam rolling and it has been life changing. Chronic hip and knee pain resulting from the hours I spend sitting in front of the.computer. Pain is almost instantly reduced using this roller. I find I have greater flexibility and my workouts are better as a result.I also sleep better without hip pain and I have not felt this good in years. Foam rolling is now a part of my daily routine. Trigger Point (manf.) also have tonnes of online videos to help get you started. Otherwise, roller packaging includes some instructions on how to use the roller including some basic exercises. I find this roller more effective than the soft 100% foam rollers but not as painful as some of the hard textured rollers like the rumble roller.
Hello,I've owned this EXACT roller for about 3 - 4 years now and I got it at TJ MAXX, haha, no kidding. It was being sold there for like $12 so please don't feel like you gotta buy it here at this highly marked up price. Is it a great roller? Yes, absolutely. Does that mean you have to pay $37 for it? Nope! Now whether or not your local TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or Ross has one of these in stock is up to you to investigate. Like I said, this was a few years ago; but I encourage you to check them out before purchasing it here. Normally I wouldn't "out" a company because it'd be rude to potentially take a sale away from them but right now times are tough and everything is so expensive, it'd be morally wrong for me to stay silent.God bless!
I was today years old when I discovered what I was missing. Well, not quite today, but it has been a lesson. While I've long rolled my muscles with a bar, it has always been limited it access in reach. I had hemmed and hawed about buying a large foam roller, but when my muscles started to tighten up along my thighs and glutes, I decided to jump in. Knowing that a texture-less roller came without access, and a deeply grooved one would often compress, I landed on the Trigger Point roller as the 'Goldilocks' between them all.Durability always sits in the forefront with me, and I was pleasantly surprised by the construction. A solid internal pipe can take my 220lbs without issue, and the foam appears fused and robust. A solid internal pipe can take my 220lbs without issue, and the foam appears fused and robust. Overall, I have little doubt that this little wonder will hold of for some time.Construction aside, this roller really shines in application. It's small enough that I'm not toppling off, but large enough to be able to roll everything from my calves to my neck without having to really move about. There is a little bit of a learning curve for things like lats and even quads, but the rest is fairly intuitive. When you have a spot, you'll figure out how to find it.Now, i'm not a licensed professional - well, not in any way that carries water here - but I will say that this has worked wonders in loosening up the muscles and clearing up the pains that come from both use and stagnation. While I'm not bending myself into a pretzel, it has also worked fantastically to keep the body limber.I didn't know where this has been all my life, but now that I'd getting older, I'm happy that I've found my way here. It's a PVC pipe...with foam....and probably some glue. But the construction and application are first class, and whole-heartedly recommend.
for what it is it seems great... I have lower/sciatic pinched never. When I used to visit a chiropractor he had a roller type machine he used on my back and this is similar I guess. I aim to use it carefully to loosen my back with caution... I hope. I've used it once so far and over time I hope it does some good. I use it flat in relation to my back, I don't want to chance odd angles. I think the price is a bit high for the material involved.
