Grillz - 2-in-1 Offset BBQ Smoker - Black

This is a cheaper version of a smoker/BBQ. It does what it says but feels a bit tinny and clunky. After a couple of uses, the black lids lost their sheen and started looking rusty on the exterior. It won't last the distance but the price reflects that. Having said all that, we will still keep using it until it falls apart. Can't see it lasting more than a year with occasional use.

Took me half a day to assemble but the finished BBQ seems of solid construction and looks like the illustration. I have not used it yet but have made minor modifications so I can use the firebox alone as a simple charcoal grill.To use the smoker compartment, I now realise it is a lengthy process which I will only use if I am entertaining. There are a lot of advisory videos on Youtube which I recommend before purchasing.

A good little unit but only light steel compared to a norm BBQ. Not sure how long it will last.Good value for the money. Taking a lot of work to put it together single handed, about 3 hours so far. So I haven't been able to fire it up yet. Notes with the unit suggest that it is intended for use only with charcoal. There was no warning about that in the description on line before purchase.

I put this together following the instructions right down to the letter. Was excited to use it but alas this is one disappointing design. And I'm not sure how because I had one previously from bunnings with a pretty much identical design. The smoke doesn't actually permeate through to the meat chamber, it escapes between the two barrels. First question here would be well is it done up right? I can assure you the bolts are done up tighter then a frogs ring hole! Just a poor design unforgettable which really sucks cause it looks great but unfortunately looking good isn't enough to smoke my meat 💁‍♀️

Cheap but food is amazing

First off, this is a cheap smoker made of cheap materials and time will tell how long it lasts... BUT the food that comes out of it is amazing. Cooked steaks over charcoal which tasted beautiful. Also slow cooked a piece of brisket and that turned out great. Just be sure to google how to cook with it. Pretty good intro into smoking. As I said though, time will tell how long it lasts.

Garbage Can!

This poor excuse for a smoker/barbecue is flimsy at best with the poor fitting lids and peripherals causing so much heat loss you are lucky to get the thing up to temperature to cook ANYTHING! The 6mm axle goes into a 17mm hole ("For easy fitment") and causes the unit to sit low on the wheeled end. They had an original price of $389 with a discounted price of $139 and a further discount at checkout making the total price $105. At scrap metal prices it has a value of $6 and as a smoker/barbecue it is worthless! Save your money and buy a Weber!

Its bad

It is unsuccessful and disappointing. It never works. When you close the lid, the coal turns off permanently. I don't like it, and I wish to return it. In addition, there is a missing piece of the metal grille attached to the picture.

Not Worth to Buy.

Product is made from a flimsy material and the lid makes a crackling sound of metal sheet when open and shut. I believe its due to the expansion of metal during the heating of charcoal and overtime, the lid and the base just does't close properly anymore. Its not long lasting cos its starting to rust. I would recommend BBQ pits from Bunnings instead. I wasted my money on this one. I expected the quality to be better. well , Lesson learnt.

Offset BBQ

Fair unit for price. Keeping heat up for long cook of a brisket or side needs some monitoring but overall happy with purchase.

Perfect gift for my husbands first fathers day

Gets the job done! Not too big so you can store easy without taking up all your shed space. Easy manual and didn't take too long to put together. Husband loves it it's a win win really!
