As important as starting the fire is, keeping it going is extremely important too, which is where larger logs are important. It's fibreglass core shaft helps make this axe more lightweight than others, putting less strain on every swing. Hello BCF friends.I bought this axe before a big lap we did around Queensland, I was sick of the bigger one and thought I might try down sizing. This little one is better then any other one I have owned “ever”Like was said in another review it dose need a sharpen as dose everything these days. I lost the cover in a few days so I think just throw this away but for safety conscious people this may be a good thing.I have hit a lot of wood with it, like a-lot, it got used at least every night for fire pit. Also use it to hammer in pegs as well proper 40mm angle steel ones not your generic tooth pick ones you get in ya tent, for this you turn the axe over and use the other end. Also use it to hammer in pegs as well proper 40mm angle steel ones not your generic tooth pick ones you get in ya tent, for this you turn the axe over and use the other end. HaThe Handle is super grippy, even after I have had a few beers hit the edge of a pice of timber and has swung down near my thong the grippyness of the handle has saved me and kept it in my hand so that is a great bonus, feels soft not to hard to and after using it 385 days in a row no blisters.Over all I can safely say that I have used this more then any body has in Australia, I am happy with this axe I will continue to use it as well it is one of the best things I have ever bought for my setup hands down!!!! Bit like a enerdrive dc2dc.Any way I’m of to spilt some timberHappy fishing rip roar. Ben
I bought this for camp fire pit. splits wood pretty well for small axe. Feels comfortable
I had to laugh it came with a rubber guard as it was “so sharp”. Don’t buy this expecting to use it straight away. You will need to sharpen the pointy end. Apart from that it has worked well for splitting down small timber for fire pit kindling. The BCF crew at the store were little of no use as they couldn’t even find the product. I found it myself. Then it took several minutes to find the keys to the cabinet as it needed to be locked away.
Perfect for going camping to chop up the firewood.
Bought it for the rear drawer and love it. Take it everywhere and have used it every trip. Wouldn’t leave home without it
great little axe love it cut the wood blocks so easy
