Been a keen cyclist for a while as a fitness thing but fell out of love with it a while ago using a lesser known MTB put me off it a bit.GT bikes are brilliant, good value, relatively light weight and well equipped.I upgraded the pedals to DMR's (highly recommend), adjusted the forks to be a bit softer and will probably need to change the saddle. the plastic chain guard thingy on the back wheel by the cassette kept coming off and knocking off the chain which was annoying so got rid.Excellent service from Tredz, cant fault it, fast delivery, very well packed and just quality all round.

Delivered a couple of days after order. Arrived and needed minimal setup (as usual from Tredz). Straighten handlebars, attach pedals - and by-the-way, we have included all the tools to do this. Thank you Tredz
Ordered my gt avalanche off Tredz had some issues with it being delayed but they sorted that out with some freebies I had to wait 2 month for my bike but so worth the wait. Brilliant hardtail love it so much, been to dalby few times and it’s so reliable the bike and handles great. The Tredz team were brilliant and always happy to help definitely use them again
Not happy with the bike. As components fitted to the bike are not as the original specification. After 2 calls to customer service and alot of email conversations. Tredz admitted that the original description was listed wrong and told me to look at the manufacturers website for the correct specification. They then update the specification to the incorrect specification. Which i questioned so they then up dated the specification again to the correct specification.The brakes fitted are listed on the manufacturers Web page as tektro and the brakes fitted are not tekro. I questioned this as well and was assured they tektro brake as his colleague has the same brakes. As I checked on Tecktros website and they look nothing like what is fitted to my bike.So my bike came ... MoreNot happy with the bike. If it's not correct upon delivery then return the bike straight away. The 1 star is for the delivery of the bike which was delivered on time.Not a happy customer.
The bike arrived in good condition considering the cross country trip it took. Assembly was pretty straight forward...front wheel, seat, pedals. Purchase was easy as well. I was a little disappointed with the sales rep that I messaged with some questions. I asked if the bike came with pedals as it showed them as a separate option in the listing. He stated that the bike did not come with pedals. When the bike arrived it did have the pedals I ordered separately as he indicated that i needed to buy them separate. The bike, however, did come with pedals, so be aware of that. I now have an extra set of pedals.
The pre-assembly of the brakes was horribly done. The front brake was not set correctly, the rear brake was very weak (apparently air ingress during assembly).There was no manual for final assembly and no tools for this.I will have to go to a bike service and pay extra for a new bike
Bought this bike as an upgrade on an older but much loved bike that was costing a lot to repair on a regular basis.I'll say this first - you aren't buying a top of the range MTB in the GT Avalanche Sport, but what you are buying is a bike that will please most riders. I use mine to cycle to work on a 12.5 mile round trip five days a week and then unwind on trails when I have the time: this bike is wonderful for both. Would like to say first time I ever bought from here was an online purchase due to living far, an couldn't thank them enough been so close to Xmas an upon checking my bike b4 they sent it out called to inform me of a mark , sent me pics an offered my accessories as could not get another 1 , sent me what I asked for a full face helmet and when the bike came the mark was so minimal. Overall very satisfied more so with the guts that work there thank you
