Gucci 220N Fluide De Beauté Fini Naturel Natural Finish Fluid Foundation 30ml

The foundation is pretty liquidy, compared to other liquid foundations I’ve used like Esteé Lauder Double Wear or MAC Studio Fix. It also has a strong perfume scent, which wasn’t necessarily bad but something to be aware of. I could still smell it a bit even several minutes after application. It goes on a little uneven at first but evens out nicely after working with it for a minute or so. The finish is a bit shiny to be called ‘natural’ in my opinion, but I set it with some setting powder and it was fine. I consider this to be a medium to medium light coverage foundation, though I didn’t really try building coverage since I don’t like to spend that much time waiting for makeup to dry. I liked that it felt pretty lightweight and didn’t seem to dry me out. Though I have acne-prone oily skin, foundations tend to bring out dry patches. After about three hours it started caking up in my lines and in oily spots. After around 7 hours, it has pretty much rubbed off my nose and around my mouth and chin, probably because of a combination of oily skin and wearing a mask on and off, but my forehead still looked really good and not too oily. This foundation is probably better for dry to normal skin. I didn’t notice that it oxidized much. I’m not crazy about the pump. It doesn’t give you a whole lot of control as to how much you pump out at a time. The bottle itself and even the pump feel and look super high quality. Honestly this is the best foundation I've used in a while. I'm always searching for new ones as I have a hard time finding a good shade to match my skin tone. This foundation matches flawlessly. The texture is incredibly smooth, not thick and heavy. The finish is very natural and it doesn't get cakey after all day wear. It has great buildable coverage but also doesn't clog your pores and cause breakouts. I would definitely recommend this foundation!

I generally would have liked to try several different application methods to see what would work best to achieve coverage, but there wasn't enough to experiment with, so I used a sponge applicator as I find that to be the method that gives the most even application coverage. Overall the fluid foundation feels nice on the face, almost like you aren't wearing anything, this would be a good foundation for when you want light coverage for a “natural” make up day. One of the issues I had read about from others who had tried this product is that it has the tendency to cling to dry patches, bearing that in mind prior to application I exfoliated and moisturized, unfortunately I still found that the product clung to dry patches around my nose, forehead and chin, not attractive. As for how the foundation wore over the day, by the afternoon the product had all but disappeared from my t-zone, there were patches of product buildup on my forehead and it had all but vanished from my nose, if you have oily skin, I would not recommend this foundation. It is worth noting that I did not use any powders or setting sprays as I wanted to see how the primer and foundation would hold up on their own. For the price, I found this to be disappointing as it is very thin coverage for a foundation, my normal CC cream has more coverage than this foundation did. Here is what I can say based upon my experience with what I received: Of the three shades I had available to choose from, 120N was the closest to what I would have picked out for myself. Using my fingers I was able to apply a sheer across my entire face though when testing a foundation product I would have preferred being able to use a sponge and brush as well to see what would yield the best results. It does also have the same mature powdery scent as the primer. It is not overly heavy but it does linger for quite a long while. Upon initial application it does provide a very dewy result and I did find that I needed to powder before using any additional complexion products. I do not agree that this is a "customizable" or "buildable" formula. I tried to build it up on my nose specifically as I have a lot of redness there and it just continued to smear around. As for wear time, it was just average on my dry skin. Based upon this very limited experience and application I would not feel inspired to buy this product.

This foundation perfectly encapsulates that for me. The finish and formula is good for all skin types, it has 40 shades, and the medium buildable coverage makes it perfect for the wearer to look more polished but still show their own unique natural beauty at the same time. The packaging is STUNNING. Probably the prettiest foundation bottle and pump I've ever seen. Its pure luxury. It feels lightweight and comfortable on my skin and it doesn't amplify my texture which is perfect. I got 210N and the model is way lighter than the actual foundation. So I have to lighten it a little with white pigment drops but its not a big deal. Its also easier to get away with because its lighter coverage so your skin tone peeks through the foundation a bit and it kinda adjusts the color naturally to a degree. Anyways. I have oily combo skin and this was really nice on my skin so I'd reccomend it to oily skin types that like natural looking foundations that aren't too dewy. I didn't end up looking like a oily mess wearing it. If you have dry skin exfoliate and moisturize well and you should be fine. I also don't need much powder at all with it. Only a tiny bit on the t zone. The only thing I dislike is the fragrance in the product but its to be expected in luxury products. I just think a fresher skincare esq scent thats less perfumey would be better. But other than that I love it and I'm so excited to have it!

I have since tried this foundation with my favorite hydrating primers (Milk Hydrogrip, Bite Beauty Changemaker for normal/dry skin Tatcha The Liquid Silk Canvas) but with the same drying result (and I do a 4-5 step moisturizing ritual first, so it’s not that). I will try again come summer. *fingers crossed* My online color match was spot on! It’s possibly the best color match in my 20+ years of wearing makeup. The packaging is boring, but nice. I appreciate the glass bottle quality pump. I also like that this isn’t as perfumed as the coordinating primer. There is added fragrance, but I honestly didn’t even notice it didn’t cause any breakouts. It is a very thin liquid consistency. You definitely can’t pump this onto a beauty blender, it soaks through immediately. A brush is a must to distribute achieve any real coverage then some damp beauty sponge bouncing to smooth it out reduce the dry effect. My only true gripe... Annoyingly, even with how drying this formula is on me, it creases in my lines worse than anything I’ve used! HOW?! I set with multiple high end powders couldn’t minimize the issue. I’d tap them out repeatedly they’d return within minutes. Lastly, this probably has the least coverage of all my medium coverage foundations. Which is fine, as long as you know what you’re getting. I don’t need much enjoy my freckles showing through anyway. Overall, I think luxury makeup lovers with oily/combo skin, looking for light/medium coverage, will enjoy this splurge. However, I don’t agree that this is for normal skin. If your t-zone isn’t grease city, you will likely regret this purchase. For reference, my current favorite is the Bite Beauty Changemaker Foundation.

Ithas a satin finish and doesn't exaggerate you pores. This foundation is definitely not made for active lifestyles, that being said it did last on me all day on a full day spent running errands without separating, looking too oily or too dry. It just rubbed off a bit on a few areas that my mask touched. I ended up giving it to my 50 year old mom because I already had two other foundations opened and she loves it and that woman is picky af when it comes to foundation. This definitely will make it into my rotation of foundation. Probably will replace my shiseido foundation when it runs out, though I do love my shiseido one, this one transfers less onto my mask and goes a longer without looking dewy.

Unfortunately I didn’t have enough of the product to work with to see if it is very buildable. By lunch time (almost 6 hours after application) it had worn off almost entirely. It does have fragrance but it wasn’t overwhelming and dissipated quickly enough to not bother me. When applied, it had a somewhat blurred natural finish. It didn’t cover all of my redness or any blemishes but overall I liked the way my skin looked. When I tried the darker shade (220N), I tried a more moisturizing primer on the side where it had clung to the dry spot on my face and didn’t have that problem. I have combination skin and with a moisturizing primer on my drier parts of my face, the foundation actually looked even better than the first application. Overall, I wish I’d had more product to see if it was buildable up to medium coverage as it’s described and if I could find a way to make it last longer because I really liked the way my skin looked once I tried it with a different primer.

I used my urban decay all nighter primer first and used the all nighter setting spray when I finished my makeup. I like that it does blur my pores. It didn't cover this one pimple I had but to be fair it's a huge pimple and I'm not sure most foundations would be able to really cover it. My makeup blended on top without any issues. Lovely foundation - however yellow in undertone

Lovely foundation. Good coverage and finish. However colours are very yellow/golden based even for the N undertone. Im usually a 1-1.5 in Dior and i usually get a 1-3.5 in Luminous Silk, I purchased the 120N and it is very pale w a yellow undertone. When i visited the counter to see the other shades. Potentially looking at something to make this more pink. All the higher shades regardless of undertone C, N or W. All were very golden/yellow
