This product is the same as that used by professional plasters, but with a 60 minute working time, so it's ideal for the home handyperson. This product is used as the base coat for taping joints and covering nail and screw heads. It must be smoothed out nicely, as it is not designed to be sanded and it can be difficult to sand if over-built. Use a finishing cement for the final coats, as the finishing cement is easy to sand.

This product started going hard after 15 minutes (and not 45 as stated) and was unworkable. It's good for doing small repairs but when working with large jobs joining plaster boards and especially if you are a DIY, you are better of with the premix or the Base Coat 60, unless you're a professional who works fast.

Great product, but get the 20kg bag (if that weight is manageable for you), as they are much better value.
I am ceiling flusher and I will only use this base coat as it is creamy and smooth to trowel . It lasts at least 60 min to 70 min and has very litle shrinkage .
Does the job but gee I wash it was a bit easier to mix. Hard to get the lumps out.
